MERCEDES ML 320 CDI NO START BUT CRANK’S AND A COMPLAINT OF SMELLING PLASTIC

Mercedes 320 cdi drove a 80 mile around journey to stanstead airport to pick someone up with a smell of plastic,on the way back the smell started to disappear,
They got back home , next morning they went to start it. And that’s when I got involved
