In this video, we’re hunting a romance scammer who has stolen over $300k from an 83-year-old woman named Carol. Carol believes she’s in a relationship with a man calling himself Thomas Anderson, but in reality, Carol’s search for companionship online has led her into a heart-wrenching web of deceit, manipulation, and financial ruin at the hands of this Nigerian romance scammer.
We’ve teamed up with @CatfishedOnline to hunt this scammer down and expose him to the entire world. I saw a police bodycam video the other day of a woman reporting an old lady feeding a bitcoin machine. The cop that showed up knew what was happening and stopped her and confronted the scammer on the phone. It would be cool if you guys tracked her down and did a story on her. She had like 40k on her and put thousands in before the cop showed up and stopped her.

Kudos to that officer. In the main city where I lived they laughed at people and even told a person they don't take care of such things. In a county outside that city flat out said there's nothing they could do.

Delving deeper, though, I think aside from catching and exposing scammers, we can teach people how to avoid been scammed.
There will always be scammers; they are everywhere, and there will always be bad guys!
I’m saying that because I’m Nigerian 🇳🇬, and I can say that more than 30% of Nigerians have been scammed at some point in their lives. I have been scammed twice, until we started teaching ourselves how it works and, how to avoid been scammed, and when they realized we are wiser, then they moved from Nigerians to other countries.
Let’s teach ourselves so they won’t have anyone to scan again.

I was scammed 4 years ago he said is American and a photo of Captain General for sure he use the picture to entice women’s to fall on. I buy him a $100 Apple Card so he can talk to me. He is under watch 24 hrs. But I interviewed him etc until he got trap on my bait. After that I blocked him and many guys keep asking for friendship automatically deleted them

Yep. I fell for someone that I never even met in another country (met online and talked nonstop almost 24 hours a day, for about a year), made plans to meet.. wasted $2k on a flight that I never went on, and voluntarily sent him about $1200.00 months prior.
Just ended up paying off the flight that I never went on. Learned my lesson, and never heard from the man again. He had mental health issues and I'm not sure if he's even alive still. I still have feelings for him and it still doesn't make sense to me

There are many Nigerian 'students' in the Philippines and very recently one has sneaked into an apartment took laptops, celphones and other gadgets and sold it in a shop. But he was right away subdued and now languisihing in jail. And there are many of them being reported everynow and then. Because of the negative impressions, apartment landlords are rejecting them. The good of them suffer. The Philippines shares thesame outlaws but very seldom have to be students. Interestingly, Nigerians here are themselves very religious and even more prayerful than Filipinos and are top of their classes. However, seems like their natural intuition to outsmart and scam others. Has Nigerian government corrupt system brought down its citizens so much and affecting their future leaders?

I wouldn’t lie. This is so embarrassing. As a Nigerian working and living in the US. I have watched hard working people work their bones into retirement. To see people get scammed out of all their savings is incredibly EVIL. I am so ashamed of Nigeria.😢
Don’t be. I’m Chinese American and I’ve met very nice Nigerians that are hardworking and really good people. There are also scammers mostly from Ghana and India. There used to be a lot of scammers from Ukraine as well but not as much because of their war but about 90% of scammers are mainly in India. So I wouldn’t hold against a country. I hold against the individual that is desperate for money.
Don’t worry, don’t be ashamed. Be proud and show everybody in America that Nigerians like you work hard, are beautiful people and are nice.

That's why from that phone conversation, what I could get was them two just covering up and putting on a show. Jerry was talking more than Unc was with giving answers and when it got to where someone was meant to start talking, he said he'll call him later.

I made 2 to 3x more money doing some software developing compared to my surgeon ex. Maybe thats only the case in my country ( in Western europe ), but it sucks to be a surgeon. she had to be available 24/7, was a trainwreck, had to study away all her young years and ended up with a mediocre salary.

A software developer can easily make 6-12K Euros (not worthless dollars) a month in his first 3 years in his kitchen at home, Like I and others did.
I burst into tears and started crying for like 10 minutes straight when that little girl said "Daddy, Dadda" 24:35 and she rested in his shoulder for couple of seconds.
It could be that the woman has had many dadas in the home. I hope that the children grow up safe and happy.

The guy is complaining that the whole situation is fucked up because he knows nothing about the scam yet he’s entangled. He also said the Trilogy team was back to his place, after which he asked Uncle what should be done about what’s happening.
He also told uncle the team has all his info and he’s not a friend to the said Comfort, he only met comfort through him(Uncle). He complained about his probation and the fact that he doesn’t want to go to jail.
Uncle on the other side of the call is responding like he’s not the main person but someone else is in charge and the guy is asking Uncle if he has info about the main person. Uncle later responds that he doesn’t have any information and he asked what the guy wants to do… so the guy told uncle he’ll call back

Exactly, my 21 year old son said it sad appears the kids would all have different dads and she said it’s been a year talking to the scammer yet the baby is two weeks old. So she is having real life relationships or being sexually involved with someone. Also they mentioned the withdrawals, she is getting some of the money yet it looks like she was rewarded for her bad behaviour.
