Ya on EBC’s website the rotors are $606 each on sale. My buddy has an Audi S8+ with ceramic brakes. Thank god he leases it, list price on the front rotors is $6k EACH!!
Porsche recently introduced silicon carbide coated brake rotors, Engineering Explained has a video on it. Wonder if the owners will have to ante up a kidney for replacements.
Go price similar size equipment from Willwood, Brembo, etc and see what a 15" kit costs. $1100 isn't that bad.

When my 204,800k plus mile 5.7 hemi in my 03 ram 1500 finally wants to start quitting on me (many more years in it truck is very solid) I may re-build that motor doing even more than I did to it. All it’s got now is K&N air filter, hypertech power programmer, throttle kit, Gibson performance exhaust (exhaust that not many have... it sounds really damn good and is very cheap) those exhaust give my truck a loud aggressive sound that I love. No stupid sound it has a very good aggressive tone. Straight piped itll sound horrible. Do not recommend straight piping a 5.7 hemi it’ll sound ridiculous, all depends on your exhaust system you go with. Extremely happy with my Gibson performance exhausts. The idle is loud and sounds great and the driving is just fantastic. has a aggressive roar sound. Awesome. Stock the old 5.7 hemi makes 345hp... I’m saying it’s around 415hp maxed out on its power. Pulls and kicks ass. When I may want to do a re-build the truck is getting freshened up and even more added to it. It’ll be a great winter truck and a truck I’ll just love to drive around. I’ll of course have a new ram. Looking into buying a 2017 or a 2015 or ‘16, ram 1500 5.7 hemi pretty soon. Keeping my 03 it has many memories it’s not getting sold. From original owner who bought it brand new, owned it long time. I buy it from him. He took great care of it and treated it well. Great engine. Reliable as long as you treat it well

Be a cool project... this dodge SRT VIPER ENGINE Ram, same red (the red just suits the truck so well) same rims but off road tires, 4x4, take off the spoiler, basically making it a regular truck but still got that sporty look and has the V10 viper engine! I just imagined the look in my head... very awesome

Those turbos are so cute looking haha. My Twins on my 300zx are 64mm. The color on the f150 is the same as mine and looks even better in person.

I have a 12 F150 ecoboost. Its been reliable for the 20k miles ive had it but its been a learning experience. I put a UPR catch can on it that connects to both pcv's and its amazing what it catches in the winter time. Terrible design flaw from ford though, just the thought that the engine is feeding that crap back into the engine is awful. Ive also done the condensation drain hack on the intercooler, has it helped? Idk, but it hasn't taken anything away. New plugs and coil end boots and its runs like a champ. Im impressed with its power, that v6 and teeny tiny twin turbo's really throws down some power. Im waiting for the next episode, I hope they dyno the trucks I want to see what sort of power it makes now with the injectors, larger internal turbos and intake.

I think it's a Cajun type accent he's trying to get rid of.... I think he forgets when talking and his accent slips through every once in a while that's what makes it seem like it's switching back and forth... I have a Draw and live in Cali now and it gets pointed out A LOT... So I try to hide it but it slips through sometimes....
It’s a good idea to replace the turbo coolant and oil lines and fittings. They pit and have scores where the old o ring rides on them. They usually don’t reseal and leak everywhere. Your experienced in a lot of ways but the repetitive one. Multiple times working on these and you will want to have done that the first time.
You can cut those crash beams between 2 of the bolt holes if you slide them all the way to one side.
Then it allows it to be bolted back in when done, minus 2 bolts ofcourse.

There is so much more you could have done to EcoBoost and you could used a better turbo up grade. You could have graded the cold side and hot side pipes. You could have upgraded the turbo flange. You guys should have ask 5startuning and not summit racing.

For everyone confused by his accent: He's from New Orleans, I knew it from the instant he opened his mouth. It's a really unique accent, it has rural Cajun/creole elements to it as well as somewhat of a big city sound. Not your typical southern accent for sure

Now that you've worked on the suspension, the top end, and exhaust needs of the 8.4L V10, AND you still have $6100 left in the 15k budget, NOW is the time to look into a Procharger kit or a couple of turbos for it. Of course you'll need a stronger clutch to go along with all of that added power...
Any more power you need to replace the transmission behind the v10
I wouldn’t have changed the turbos on that eco boost. A CAi, 3” Turbo back exhaust, Intercooler upgrade, hot and cold side turbo piping and a tune.
guy 1 gets an SRT with V-10 that puts out around 500hp stock, guy 2 gets a ford with high performance tint i have to say i didnt see that one coming
Did you guys uprate the timing chain on the V10 to? Did anyone hear what the lift is on the new cam?
All those parts off the top, should have saved the cost of the lowering kit and added a blower to the V10, or at least get the heads shaved and ports n valves done.

How annoying was it for you to remove that intake manifold on the V10? Those rear bolts are a major pain in the ass. Ask me how I know. LMFAO! Nice touch on painting it black though.
Another inexpensive couple of upgrades is drop in K&N filter, swap out the throttle body and a 170 degree thermostat. A tune is a must, to fully get the benefit out of the cam and reprogram the cooling system to come on in conjunction with the 170 t-stat. Get in touch with Torrie, at Unleashed Tuning. One of the most experienced tuners, when it comes to these trucks. He will get you set up with an SCT programmer, t-stat and a canned tune, based on what you've done so far. Obviously a dyno tune would be best and Torrie has the ability to remote tune with most dyno shops.
Word to the wise, replace the PS lines and oil cooler with a set of SS ones. Do not put a new set of OEM's back on. They all leak on these truck. I will repeat, THEY ALL LEAK ON THESE TRUCKS! If yours haven't been replaced already and are not leaking yet, they most certainly will. Get in touch with Tony, at JTSVP, he will get you set up with the correct set of each.
JMS boost max is a joke. Should have gotten an actual tune to see real gains.
Yes, completely agree. Go to Gearhead or Unleashed and pack an additional 100hp and tq+ with the bigger turbo's. It would leave the v10 in his rear view morror

Teflon o rings on injectors do not require lubrication to install and can cause the injectors to leak compression. A clean bore is more important when putting eco boost injectors back in. This is the difference between a mechanic and a technician. Read the manual and take what you need to know and apply it.

That ecoboost is no slouch, with just a tune, deleted cats and some race gas you can make 400whp and 440 torque.
The viper motors are prone to have rod stretch at high Rpm’s they make up graded rods and cranks with arp bolts and should run gen 4 head gaskets

Both trucks should’ve been reg cab short beds, and for the f150 y’all should’ve gotten the Coyote and slapped a supercharger on it.
Why spend all that money on upgraded turbos? With intake/exhaust upgrades you can put down over 550 rwhp on an e-85 tune w. the a 3.5 ecoboost.

Saw an ecoboost in a shop for a misfire. All msd coils one was already bad out the box. There kinda crap. The ford coils are good. Also so are the turbos just throw a bigger exhaust flange
4wd, regular cab, short bed, 10 speed, 3.0L Whipple supercharged 5.0L F150 would dominate this competition in every aspect. You could even get the same results in a gen 2 with the 6 speed.

Honestly all that SRT-10 needs is a paxton setup and some headers and gears, the F150 won't come close to it power wise. If you are going to run a cam then do the heads as well and get it tuned.
@Joanna a bolt on paxton SRT-10 is in the mid 6's to low 7's at the wheels, no comparison really.

i have an 02 dodge ram with a 5.9 gas engine and I've had to replace it 3 times. (bought the truck used). i think it would have been easier to just remove the V10 to work on it
