I need to buy a lottery ticket today!!! THANK YOU Junction City Liquor store!!!....$37.95 per bottle!!! YEEE HAAW!!!!!!
Elmer T. Lee was one of my favorite Americans of all time. Having said that... in my area there is only one store carrying this whiskey. They marked it up to $100. I have never paid that for any bourbon...and I don't think I will. I'll pay that for Scotch, but not bourbon. Especially when the suggested retail price is less than $40. Am I being unreasonable?
Thats a bummer. I have only seen it once and bought it when i did. I think it was around 50 for me give or take. You have a glass waiting for you in CT if ever in the area
I first tried ETL about 10 years ago, it was about $26 where I live. Now it's up to $36, but it's not on the shelf. I asked the guy at the store if they had any, he said it flies off the shelves, I told him I was disappointed because I'd been drinking it for some time, seemed like whenever I discovered something new that was a value it got discovered and expensive, had a bit more whiskey chat with him, then he said "just a minute I'll check with the boss and see if I can go in the back and get you some." So this is how you get the stuff now, I guess, you say some magic words to show you're part of the old-time bourbon fraternity (no secret handshake though) and you get access to the goods. I went through this same drill to get a bottle of Weller's. No luck with Van Winkle 15 year old, they sell it by lottery.
This now a unicorn in KY & many other markets. Only limited release 1 time a year. I have bottles with $24.99 price tags on them from early 2000s. Had the please of meeting Mr. Elmer T. Lee @ Whisky Fest in Chicago in 2006, don't remember much else from that night for some reason.
You summmumma bishes. my favorite bourbon. found this at 20 y.o. it used to be 40-50 dollars it's insane now I still get it under 70 tax included. Either way I keep at least two bottles at all times.

its generally released around thanksgiving in most markets i believe hope that helps the colonel eh taylor uncut unfiltered is one of my favorites its also generally released during this time

shipping whiskey and other spirits in the US as a consumer is not allowed in a decent amount of states. In Missouri i have to find a store that carries one because i cannot ship whiskey here

Nah, it's a good bourbon, but I don't know that I would put it down as $100 good. Next time you're in Austin, I'll pour you some.

$600 for the 100th anniversary the other day! Love Elmer but hard pass!
