I'm Japanese. the difficult point is the countries you don't wanna visit is not always the ones you hate, even if the places are kinda dangerous, some guys would still be interested in the countries. And from my perspective, most of them are just "not motivated" to visit there for now, because of not being safe, not being hygienic, international situations and so on, rather than hate the places. So, different nuances from hating I guess. If you use the term of "hate" in this video, it seems a too strong expression, can't say the appropriate one.

    "Hate"と"Don't like"と"Don't want to visit"では、かなり意味合いが変わってきます。

I’ve had some bizarre encounter in the paris metro that made me appreciate my country more. I’m a Chinese. I would say, in general, Chinese younger generations don’t hate Japan. Conversely, the younger generations like Japan because of the similarities between cultures and particularly the strong culture outputs of animations and games by Japan in recent years.
However, if you asked older generations then the answer would more likely to be Japan, because of the historical issues that we all know. Also, in my opinion, we don’t experience that period so I don’t think anyone can judge on the older generations opinions. As they experienced tragedies we don’t have, we can’t imagine how hard/painful it could be.
As for myself, I came to Australia after completing high school in China. Now I’ve graduated from university and working in Australia temporarily. I also study Japanese as my second language. What I learned most in this multicultural country is don’t judge anyone based on their race, nationality, etc. You can only assess someone based on morals or etiquette rather than using previous bias, stereotypes or prejudice of that nation/culture. Judging others by their backgrounds can lead to losing potential friends and it’s not wise. Hopefully, more people can learn from my experience (including the old generation Chinese). Additionally, I hope we can treat history as experience. Use history as a warning, as a stepping stone to avoid war and conflict in the future, rather than use it as a reason to blame or harm people.

    • @larghedoggo9607
      @larghedoggo9607 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +86

@@gibberishboner8776 it's not only about "Politeness".
As an Asian who sort of understand Japanese culture and theories, I can tell you most of them are educated not to be "different" /not encouraged to criticize. Their language is very poor of "swearing vocabularies". They believe everything has spirit, included speech, which means if they swear to someone, that "speech spirit" would reflex to themselves and cause them trouble.
Criticizing in public especially due to their own opinion is equal to "showing themselves as a bad person" in public.
That's why for those people who said about hate, they usually choose those countries which are far from Japan(definitely not neighborhoods, even they thought so), and the reason would also be something obvious and well known by everyone such as "safety, hygiene".
You can say Japanese people generally have 2nd face and they also have higher social pressure than western countries(so do other east Asian countries)
It's not a bad or good thing.
For tourists, you can enjoy the best service /attitude to customer in the world. But if you work as a worker there, you have to burden much much pressure. Their culture can be harsh in certain ways(at places having less people). E.g. if you don't speak good Japanese(pronounciation, grammar or most important the "respect form"), "some people"(though not majority) might actually scold you.
However, I still believe one of the reasons why they are so "polite" is also related to their good public education, that can't be denied yes

Syrian people are too generous and welcoming you can see it in many videos from tourists.. I just want to show the real life of it.. with all love

We Japanese don’t hate Syria and we know that there’re many of them working really hard in Japan as well!!! As you said, things that people are worried about are war and conflicts and things like that. One of my professors at my University is from Syria and he was one of the best person I’ve ever met! I hope everyone can live in peace and actually get to experience each other’s culture more often 😢 and I hope you’ll be able to visit Japan at some point soon we’re waiting for you 🎌🙌

I'm a malaysian and have been living in Japan for 5 years.
My senpai in company scolded me so many times for eating my own bento lunch thag I brought from home by using my hand. He said hands are dirty and human are mean to be eating by spoon/fork/chopstick. He also said that foreigners in japan are like rats because of their huge number.
He scolded me if I pray bcs my company prepared a prayer room for me. The prayer room used to be empty room where he said he always slept. I don't mind sharing the room tho but he said i just nuisance in the company. Therefore I left and now working in a far better company where I feel like my culture is appreciated. Oh ya he always scolded me with a loud voice that other people from different department can even hear.
He made me feel nervous to go to office every morning. When he said I'm just lucky (just because my manager like the way I sort docs and my 3D design), I will hurt my hand when I went back home bcs I felt like everything I do will never please him.
I even planned to commit suicide by consuming insecticides but I failed. That time I realized I don't wanna die yet. So I secretly do job hunting and once i secure a position there, I waited until winter bonus then I quit the racist japanese othodox company. That is my best decision ever.
Now I'm working in a company where most of the staffs are foreigner just like me. I am so happy now. I even get paid double to go site visit and meeting with client in my homecountry.

〝You are Dutch? You must be high. I’m not talking about your height〟…😓
Anyway, I’d like to go there because I’m a woman whose height is 173cm.
When I was in America, I was disappointed to see there’s only one girl who was taller than me in a dorm😞 But I was happy to see nobody talked about my body(Some Asian people from Asia did though)😊
I weigh about 50kg. In Japan, women always complain that guys like a woman’s body like mine → Guys say that they were wrong because they hate a rail like my body → Women get glad to hear that and say that those guys are KIND😖
I hope my height is average and you don’t evaluate people’s looks there.
Sushi in America is different from we have. I think what you have is different too.
It’s interesting that many Westerners seem to think that ramen is Japanese food while many of us think it’s Chinese(Chinese ramen seems to be different from Japanese though) .
I’d like you to come here and enjoy Japanese sushi and ramen 🍣🍜
…But don’t forget there’s another thing you are highest and we are lowest among developed countries.

Very interesting. And you do a very good job of re-wording your questions in a way that Japanese people feel ok to answer truthfully. Like culturally, they do not want to insult another country by saying they "hate" it. But they will answer the question " what country would you NOT like to go to?" This brings me so much more understanding of Japanese culture, brings me even more respect for Japanese. Thank you, from California

      @islamisthetruewaytogod6812 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time.
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)..
      Salam (Peace)

as a Filipino who has traveled to different countries, I'd say that some of the nicest people I've met and encountered were from my neighboring countries, specifically Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia. The locals I've met were very friendly and helpful.
I remember when I went to Malaysia (in Johor Baru) from Singapore and rode a bus, the bus was jam-packed and I was standing. As I was having isssues balancing because of my heavy backpack and holding my luggage, a Malaysian lady close to me decided to help me out. She also helped me out where to go after getting off from the bus.
In Thailand, there's this traffic enforcer outside our hotel that became our guide on how to go to the place my friend and I wanted to go. So every morning, we would go to him to ask for help. Even if there's a bit of a language barrier, he would still try his best to give us directions.
In Cambodia, the hotel staff was so kind to us and helped us a lot as well. The tour guide that we hired was really kind and funny as well. But we were a bit sad when our tour guide told us that he wish he could also travel to a different country one day. I hope and pray that one day, that wish would come true for him 🙏
In terms of food, I'd say that my favorite was in Thailand. There's not a single food I've eaten there that I didn't like. All the food were delicious that I ended up gaining 3kgs after the trip 😅
But more than the food, it's the people that made me fell in love with these countries.
So to anyone who's a bit hesitant to travel to SEA (Southeast Asia) countries, just give us a chance We may not be as developed as compared to our Asian brothers, but we still have a lot to offer 😊❤
P.S. I'm traveling to Japan this September and looking forward to the kindness of Japanese people😅 😁

I am Japanese. If you see this comment, please watch to the end!
First of all, the title of this video says Hate, but none of the people interviewed in the video say they hate or are jealous of this country. There are many people who misunderstand this, but it is true. If you only look at the subtitles, it looks like they are jealous or something...
Next, I will write about what I thought when I saw this video. To begin with, the number of Japanese who have a country they dislike is quite small, and if anything, they are not interested in it. And in this video as well, when the respondents were asked "Which country do you dislike? Or, they do not have a country they dislike, but they are trying to answer the question because they have been asked.
The questioner is trying to force such respondents to at least ask, "Which country do you not want to go to? The questioner is trying to force the respondent to answer, "Which country do you not want to go to? Then, the respondent answers the question by thinking of a country that seems dangerous, but no one says, "The country I don't like is there! No one is saying, "I don't like that country!
But in the comments, many people make the mistake of thinking that the Japanese are racist or that Iraq is hated. That is wrong. I was born in Japan and I have never once seen anyone being racist. Of course there are some, but that is unfortunately true in any country. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for reading.(Translation.)

I'm from Iran and really admire Japanese culture and its high moral values. I have seen many western countries, and I hope I get a chance someday to visit Japan as well. BTW, this video is interesting to me because it shows the Japanese people don't make as much eye contact as western people do (like the U.S.A, Britain, Germany, and so on). It may indicate the cultural pudency among Japanese people.

I noticed many of the interviewers mention "tall" buildings when they talk about countries they want to visit. I lived in Tokyo when I was little, and if I heard/remember correctly, I think the reason there are not as many tall buildings in Tokyo is the possibility of earthquakes.

    • @aha0327
      @aha0327 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Yes and Singapore is generally considered to be relatively safe from earthquakes and tsunamis due to its location in the stable part of the Sunda Plate. The country is not located near any major fault lines or tectonic plate boundaries that are associated with high seismic activity.
However, it is important to note that no location is completely immune to earthquakes or tsunamis. In the event of a major earthquake or tsunami in a neighboring country, Singapore may still be affected, although the impact is likely to be less severe compared to countries located closer to the source of the event.
In recent years, Singapore has taken steps to enhance its disaster preparedness and response capabilities, including conducting regular emergency drills and investing in early warning systems. This is in recognition of the fact that while the risk of earthquakes and tsunamis is relatively low, the consequences of such events can be severe.

I am Japanese, and the country I love is Thailand. Very charming people, even the small things like bowing to the car while its letting you pass, similar to Japan. Also Thai people like Japanese are not loud and obnoxious, and are generally respectful of their surroundings.
The food is amazing, and very spicy. My wife is Thai and she is beautiful but also I would not try to anger her she knows muay thai. I think Thailand has some of the most beautiful people in the world, physically beautiful but also elegant and respectful. I love Thailand a lot, Ive learned how to speak the language, and their culture is so unique I recently went to a funeral it was so different from a western or japanese style. I loved their Song Kran festival these last few days.

You know what always baffles me is that how these "developed" country people always talk about how unsafe some other countries are and they would not visit (which is fine but they stereotype a bit too much) BUT when a person from any 3nd world country or other ethinic group visit their countries their very "safe" countries turn hostile to those people, there is xenophobia, racism and just hate towards anyone who is NOT white (in asian countries). In the west its not very different story but because of asian fetish they are still favorable ? somewhat, than other minorities from either different countries or less developed part of asia (ik my phrasing sounds bad i don't mean it like that plus i agree asians have there fair share of unequal treatment too, my point still stands)
