You all probably dont give a shit but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Bentley Donald Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I'm gonna let you guys in on my process of tone capturing amps from the early days of modeling. 1. Run the source amp/cab thru your DAW, setup a spectrum analyzer plugin to see the source waveform. Make notes of the peaks and valleys of the waveform. Anything greater than 3db is of interest. 2. To get the most accuracy, run a signal generator in the amp input and sweep from 20hz to 20khz. Most amps operate from much less than 20 to 20k...the highest fundamental frequency on a guitar is around 3k with harmonics going much higher. Most speakers generally roll off highs around 4 to 5k. Not sure why I included that it's just there... 3. Repeat the same process with the target setup and tweak with both your eyes and ears until you can get it as accurate as possible.
I do something similar with my Helix, except after I get it pretty close this way, then I run it through Izotope Ozone’s Match EQ to get it ridiculously close. Then you run the test signal through Ozone, record the output, turn it into an IR, ba-da-bing ba-da-boom. Amp matching in Helix. Works great.
That's definitely a pretty awesome way to use amp tones without having to deal with tubes or if you're in an apartment or noise ordinance situation and can't crank it like a tube amp needs in order to get that breakup. Sounds like the GE 250 is well worth the upgrade.
I would love to hear how the GE250 render the Galien Krueger 250. I have been looking to get the Iron Maiden Somewhere in time/Seventh Sons sound for years now.
Cool video, but I don't think you should turn the Mooer tubes off. You are using the amp's preamp section, you are still missing the power amp tubes which I think is what the Mooer emulates
Congrats on getting to 3k subs! I was noticing that on captured "entire" amps on GELabs app by Mooer that I have downloaded from their shared cloud service, that if a noise gate on the captured amp is on, the captured tone has very little noise and you don't need a noise gate anymore in the app which is great for sustain. Is it the same for tone capture with the actual modelers like GE 250? Just wondering because I really don't like the noise gates on modelers.
In the instructions it says to adjust the source amp to the desired eq settings before capturing. I imagine whatever you have your destination amp set to, will end up giving you you flexibility with boosting or cutting eq
I remember some youtuber say that the downfall of a kemper is that if you mess with the eq of a profile, the tone will sound bad easily. wander if thats true with the mooer tone capture.
i want to capture an overdrive+distortion stomp bc FX A block doesnt have an overdrive effect, what am i supposed to do if the venue doesnt have an amp with effects loop? is it possible?
..... So the original amp tone was louder as far as I could tell until the 7:34 mark where the GE250 finally came up to the same volume as the Krank. Am I wrong? It was hard to tell how similar the tones were due to volume differences. At the end it seemed like you addressed it though? i dunoo
There is a volume difference while using the tone capture function, but then once its complete, no noticeable difference. Its weird... could have been something I did, not sure 🤷♂️
are the captured tones saveable? i'm interested if i can store more or not, cuz if i could capture all my amps that would be awesome, and i could sell my helix and my ampero in that case maybe.
Man that amp sounds awesome, are you going to share it on mooer studio, or will be released via patron only? Keep going, cheers from Italy P.S.: I checked out your band (Sacrificer) you guys kick ass! \m/
No, it doesn't work that way. You have to have a source to run a signal through. Like the kemper, it makes weird UFO noises through the source to match tones.
crazy as it sounds has anyone profiled a neural, kemper or even a Helix through one of these? would be interesting if or how it profiles a modeler?! potential could be endless at that price?..
We have finally created a really easy-to-use effector in China. I am very glad that I have been using GE200, which is too expensive. Ge250 is the average wage price of Chinese people for one month! Too expensive! Ordinary people will wait for the price to fall and sell it! It's an expensive thing to do music in China!
I see. But on the contrary you have the tech to build like smartphone or laptop on the cheap. Like, working Iphone 7 under USD200? or, customize a motherboard for an old IBM thinkpad laptop. That is way more amazing to me.
@@spanneng You know that there are a lot of things that we produce in China, but they are all imitations. Counterfeit products are not easy to use, and many things that China produces are in English, but those English are not standard. Good things are actually for the west, and we can't afford to use them ourselves!
I got a guy downstairs who plays bass like you play guitar. I can get roughly the same sound when I turn on my busted table saw Still, good comparison video!
Made it to 3k, wo0t! Thanks for watching! Sub if you haven't, and pet me know what you want to see next from the ge250!
Sounds great. Kemper on a budget. The bonus is getting those cranked sounds at low volume in a compact package.
Yeah, I see myself using this captured Krank tone a lot for sure!

Yeah, it's pretty neat. Still need to spend some time figuring it out.
i THINK THIS WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION TO BE ASKED :)))))) WELL DONE

the image of the video its pure gold
Thanks! Have been putting more effort into thumbs!
Makes me glad I didn't pick up a Kemper back in the day when it first got really popular.

Thanks! Hmm, good to know!
Always forget how good Kranks were. I have an original Krank Rev in retirement due to these small modelers, maybe it’s time I fire it up again!
Awesome amp! Greatly benefits from a boost lol.
will it still sound good if you adjust the eq of the captured amp?
Yes, you can totally change tone.

Hey.....If you're not using the bottom four strings on that guitar, can I have them?

Awesome video! How you reamp using The ge250? Interface output to a d.i. box to ge250 input?
No DI box, straight from output of audio interface to unit
Incredible! Very Very good this tone capture, its True a clone!

Thanks 🤘🤘 no idea lol. I haven't thought ahead that far. I'm considering doing patches for patreon members..
@@TaylorDanley Did you?
How you can erase a capture in order to make room for other captures?
Ampero or the ge250 which do you like better?
so if it's from the fx send of the amp, you are only capturing the preamp
Can you connect this device specially so you can use youtube to steal a tone from an isolated guitar track ?
No, it doesn't work that way. You have to have a source to run a signal through. Like the kemper, it makes weird UFO noises through the source to match tones.
hi taylor..want to ask that hotone ampero mp 100 also have this tone capture?
No, it doesn't 😐
@@TaylorDanley thankss bro!!!!

Does anyone know if you can reamp through the USB connection?
the minimum is to offer tonecapture !!!!!!! the one that contributes to your subscriptions
You should try to use the di on the pedal then use the krank by its self mic it up and see the difference in the recordings
Hello, can you capture od/distortion pedal tone ?
Yep
Does this have a whammy effect like gojira and tom morello?
Can you export the tone captures?
Is it possible to share or at least backup the captured tones?
No idea! I'll have to try it out.

You are lucky to get it with one month, we need here on Brazil 2 to 3 months to buy this one.

Is there any way to download amps from other users?
Sounds very close to me.
Can it capture pedals?
Damn, none of my amps have effects loops
a lot of GE250 :D
A lot more to come!
If I get a GE250 you gonna let me capture your Krank?!?!?!?!?asking for a friend :)
Sounds good but seems complicated.
Something about the visual of this vid is different then your others. lol can't quite put my finger on it...am i crazy?😈😂
Do you mean the thumbnail or the actual video? Lol. I did shoot in a different part of my room.

Does tone capture require an AMP? If so, I guess people who don't have AMP shouldn't buy this product.
abit complicated
