Secrets like this require that the likely holder be asked first if he can keep a secret.
The idea of keeping a secret by default involves making the promise to keep the yet undisclosed secret BEFORE being entrusted with it. Like buying before testing a product. Sick but ubiquitous.
Wrong. Penny explains that friendship involves keeping secrets. And Sheldon accepts that. His only doubt was that whether he was indeed friends with penny.
@@ss_avsmt Wrong. That was after she had told him the secret, she still should have checked with Sheldon he was okay with it before telling him the secret. That goes for any friendship, not everyone is capable of keeping a secret and some don’t want to keep secrets.

This has always been one of my favorite scenes so far, and I don't know why. Sheldon has great dialogue throughout, but him and Penny banter very well together in this scene.

They compensated that with Penny completing the sentence: "(I don't want to sound like some kind of stupid loser)" with the same breathe as the previous sentence, despite the scene been shot in 2 separate shooting days.

Jessica Roberts actually he is folding the t-shirt but when he sees what penny does with the socks he puts the shirt to the side and folds the socks
2:10 the t-shirt is in the folding tool. 2:20 the socks are in the folding tool. You're looking at the wrong section of the video. There IS a mistake. The shirt was never folded, and socks appear in the place of the shirt.

Pretty funny. If you listen closely, the way that the two characters evaluate and consider, are very similar. Penny, when she gets irate or upset, often displays similar overt behaviors that Sheldon often displays. Banging on doors for three times like Sheldon does when he, Sheldon, is irate or upset. A joke, within a joke. The actors and writers were very clever. This show shows that Penny is aware of Leonard and wants Leonard to be aware of her, and pronto.
