It’s definitely trickier and does give a little more frizz- but I’ve found that’s the trade of for volume over definition for me. I hope it works well for you!

Hey there, I’m not sure about “great brush” - did you mean the Perfect Haircare brush? If so, the Perfect Haircare brush and the Wet brush are very similar. I find that the Perfect Haircare brush has slightly firmer bristles and feels higher quality all around. When people talk about the Denman brush they typically mean the 5, 7, or 9 row styling brush by the company Denman, but Denman does technically make lots of different types of brushes. There are many “dupes” for the Denman styling brushes. They all have very firm and straight bristles without balls on the ends, arranged in straight rows on a curved brush base. The firmer bristles provide tension and the shape of the brush can help with defining curl clumps. Hope this helps! :)
Your hair looks great! How did it hold up on day two? I recently use Cake foam and Cake mousse. Day one looked great w lots of volume. Day two was stretched out and day 3 I had to do a damp refresh. I’ve finally reached the point that I don’t have to refresh until day 4 when using my HG products. The Cake foam left a product feel on my hair too. I usually only use the foam on my roots.
Thanks! It held up really well, I have photos of days 1-3 on my Instagram! I didn’t refresh at all, I almost never do. My waves just slowly stretch out as the days pass
@@JordanFaith I just followed you on IG and it did hold up well. I don’t usually refresh w water either because I almost always wash every Tuesday and Friday. I was going for more volume instead of definition so I used the foam on wet hair and mousse on damp hair. I may try that product combo again tomorrow on wet hair. I have some volume when I use gel and mousse but I want more.
I have a super hard time parting my hair after I've brushed it with my head flipped over and that makes it impossible for me to plop 😔 I also have very long hair. Like, booty length.
I always let mine fall into its own part naturally, but in your case I’d probably style upright and side to side so you can part it at the beginning, and microplop instead of plopping

I have been scared of damp styling, since I read somewhere that touching damp hair leads to frizz. Now I am inspired to experiment. :)
