MASwings MH3076 : Flying from Labuan to Kota Kinabalu

- Flying the eastern Malaysian subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, MASwings from the island of Labuan to Kota Kinabalu. This 30 min flight on MASwings is the shortest flight I've ever flown on!
MASwings is a regional airline which operates ATR aircraft from the provinces of Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan in Eastern Malaysia. The Labuan - Kota Kinabalu sector is served by some 7-8 daily flights from MASwings.
This flight was flown in December 2013.
Scheduled flying time was 30 min with actual flying time being around 20 min. Scheduled departure time was 3:20 pm in the afternoon and arrival was at 3:50 pm. I'd prebooked my seat earlier.
The plane was a 5 year old ATR 72-500 registered 9M-MWE.
This is definitely a flight that one must add to his or her bucket list as the view out of the window is absolutely spectacular!
I overall found MASwings quite enjoyable and would gladly fly them again, if only for their amazingly scenic routes!

I just flown with MASWings also MH3076 from LBU-BKI in December 2015, and they were no IFE onboard.

Amazing take-off! The take-off roll was only 24.2 secs?!??!?!?! It usually takes 30 secs minimum! And the landing also. The plane was so close to the water that I thought you were gonna crash! Lol
XpertPilotFSX Yes, I guess this is because of the short duration of the flight. Landing had me going as well, thankfully the land showed up before I panicked!

The captain is an Japanese? Not offending, but asked because I'm a Japanese and have never seen Japanese pilots fly for Malaysian carriers. Expect more to fly with MAS though :(
