No doubt about it. Andrew has the swagger and the intellect to get it to the point if success. I love the fact that he doesn't do the whole gimmicky TH-camr thing. Really makes it feel more entertaining to see it as it is.
Nothing but love for you, I've loved seeing you on sonny's channel!! You have a great personality for sure, if I was to knit pick.. at times the music drowns out your lovely voice when you're explaining. But I overall loved your videos and will be a solid subscriber!! Can't wait for more!
Agree with others who've said that you're really coming into your own. Really solid cinematography and you're developing a distinct narrative presence. Glad I subbed.
Amazing perspective, I love that you take the effort to learn the local language and eat like a local! Another great video! Food looks super delicious!
@Andrew_Fraser another brilliant episode, only problem was U made me hungry! Dude, I'm so jealous that ur there and I'm here 😂 I love Vietnamese food. Hopefully I'll get there one day. Keep up the great work. Cheers 🇦🇺👍
Thank you for an interesting video! Fish cake is something that quite good and suitable for those who needs fish for their nutrition supplement but hate the fishy smell. Fish cake already grinded with shallots black pepper so after fried, it’s not fishy at all
Hey Andy, Seeing that fish market brought me back to when I worked in NYC. I was Chef at a place called the Paris Cafe in the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. Every night after work I would go across the street to the market and get the next days special. Usually some of the fish monger's would just bring stuff to me at the restaurant. But I didn't buy from anyone who couldn't give me a receipt. Lots of theft occured there. The pub had a steam pipe around the bar for your feet because the workers would warm their feet in the winter months. The market was crazy but nothing like that place you were at. Do they grind the fish bones in the sausage too.? The texture looked like baked scrambled eggs. Best of luck with your channel. ✝️🙏
There is something captivating about fish markets. I am always fascinated by them. The sausage is boneless, as the fish are filleted right away. I believe my attempt to identify the fish got edited out, but back home in Australia, we refer to them as "grinners" and we wouldn't even use them as bait, let alone eat them. This is one of the reasons why I was so surprised by how good it tasted.
@@Andrew_Fraser Hi again, you'll be surprised what you will eat when you are starving. They only have what's in their water but the NYC fish market had stuff from all over the states. I was shocked when I saw an "Aquarium" truck. A truck came from the Great Lakes region with live fish, mostly Perch and Walleye. Crayfish from the South. Craziest thing I saw was a giant eel, I got a piece as big as a steak with no bones. Thank God there was no fish from NY harbor 🤮. ✝️
Andrew I've only recently found out that you are also making very, very good videos. I've always watched you along with your Buddy. Thanks for the wonderful shows.
they are very stable and dont tip over. round boat has more surface area, so less of the boat is under water which means you can fish closer to shore. made from bamboo, very light weight you can carry it home after fishing.
If you ever come to America come to Alabama, specifically Montgomery. I could show you places in Montgomery, the capital of my state, that look like the streets of Haiti. I’m not joking. My city is falling apart, but there is great food everywhere. Lots of things I haven’t seen in documentaries, like when sunny came to AL. That was all surface level.
You just discovered one of the secrets of making Vietnamese Cha Ca and it is "The more that you mix the mint fish, the more chewy texture it is going to become."
As a Vietnamese, I gotta admit Vietnam could be better and more enjoyable if the people stopped throwing garbage everywhere and served food in a sanitary manner. This kind of market gathering has been going for generations and sadly it can’t improve for cleanliness. Because of the slum mentality passed down from one generation to the next, it continues to be slum for generations to come.
Andrew mate, The English word for the small , light-weight, generally roundish, woven boats is coracle. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coracle I have found them in use from the rivers of Ireland, on to Italy, Iraq and India. I don't think there is anything particularly Vietnamese about them, although I have seen several website claim they were "invented" there. Unlikely, a couple have been found at Babylonian archeological sites close to 5, 000 years old. Oh, and have you seen the morning fish market at Da Nang? It looks good on TH-cam, if not on the scale and intensity of Tam Tien.
I really like coracles. Fascinating history, I didn’t realise they were used so widely. Here, they're crafted from bamboo (th-cam.com/video/WPm_OTO14nw/w-d-xo.html), but these days, many have fiberglass reinforced bottoms . I doubt they are used anywhere at the same scale as they are in Vietnam. Even the lifeguards use them. Strangely, I have never been to any of the Da Nang fish markets. I live just down the road in Hoi An and spend a ton of time there. I imagine that the fish markets in Da Nang are on a whole different level compared to Tam Tien. Da Nang is a rapidly growing city and quite modern by Vietnamese standards.
This channel will one day get 1 million subscribers.
Thanks man. I hope so.

Andrew, I like how you say “fishes” like I always do. English language is weird, so I hope fishes catches on and make Oxford change the dictionary. 😊

Andrew need to produce more video for youtube algo to present his video to more people or maybe his # is not working. His content is always great.

It’s quite noticeable how many women are involved in the trade. Even doing the labour, like carrying the load.

Rated R verison of sonnys show .lol
I'll take that as a compliment
I hope you get your own tv series. Then id watch abit of tv as most of the stuff on there is crap
Why are the boats round?
Thuyền Thúng tròn = truyền thống dân biển VN
they are very stable and dont tip over. round boat has more surface area, so less of the boat is under water which means you can fish closer to shore. made from bamboo, very light weight you can carry it home after fishing.
