      Haha, I don't think there is anything quite like those Tassie lobsters mate. Crazy to see the difference. After you see the work these blokes put in for a 500g specimen, it makes me appreciate what you have going on down there even more.

      @jimmyfumbanks6081 US lobsters are wild caught, Vietnam lobsters are farmed raised because the wild caught yield are too low. US is naturally lobster-endowed with minimal effort, whereas the Vietnamese have to come up with a way to increase their lobster yield to match market demand. Totally different

    Great video, I was on some farms not far from these back in 2018. Some of my wife's relatives live in Tu Bong and one of them has a lobster farm. Unfortunately a few months before we visited they lost all their stock in a typhoon. We still got to sample some lobsters from a neighbouring farm while chiliing out on their farm.

      Intense and dense caged marine farming like that doesn't keep the oceans healthy. Go and do some research and you will find it is exactly the opposite. Farmed Salmon in Norway, Canada and Tasmainia (Australia) are good examples to start. This guy "Andrew" is telling you lies.

      @BasstoMouthFishing - No I haven't. What is that? A video of some human being housing lobsters and feeding them trash to see if they'll eat? We all know, they're bottom feeders, but they're less likely to eat decay. However, tasty crabs will eat anything. They're still yummy. Agree or disagree.... Let a women know. 🤨

    • @BasstoMouthFishing
      @BasstoMouthFishing หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ in this literal video they live on the farms…. That means that the farmers shit into the water… with there being thousands of farms in a single bay….

      I don’t know about Boston lobster but if they get their lobster from Maine then Maine lobster would definitely beat Vietnam lobster in taste but not in prices. $46 per kilo for Maine lobster, $35 per kilo on this video ( he got the foreigners price). Usually is around $20-$27 per kilo in Vietnam.

    by $35 per kg you can buy lobsters in Paris or Milan's best supermarkets.
    If you want to eat really cheap seafood, you have to go Oman.
    But, frankly saying, I don't think that lobsters' price is so high in Vietnam. Otherwise it would be unaffordable for locals, but we see that they are actively buy in the street market

  • @oohlala444
    @oohlala444 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I suspect the main reason why the price per kilo of lobster is near 50% more than what you'd see even in supermarkets in California is b/c its a tropical spiny lobster variety which tastes sweeter than Maine lobsters which I'd imagine are the stereotypical lobster we imagine. That and demand from China drives up the prices to an insane margin.
