Bad sleep is not necessary a sign of low T. Being on TRT can worsen these symptoms. There is no rule of thumb and no "magic pill" (or shot) for ageing symptoms here. TRT is only one part of the puzzle. It can improve your lifting and muscles in long run, but it can worsen depressive states of mind and (paradoxically) so called "brain fog". Do not forget about side effects (baldness, hair growth, fluid retention, gyno, acne, increased appetite etc)

Is it true that TRT can possibly raise your risk for cancer?

    • @pawekanturski2069
      @pawekanturski2069 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@evanserickson Testosterone is an anabolic hormone, so it stimulates cellular growth in the body, also in cancerous if it has T receptors present. Not much prospective studies had been done regarding general cancer risk, but known fact is that TRT is contraindicated in men with untreated prostate and breast cancer. Despite no well known risks you should be aware that TRT may add some component to your baseline cancer risks in the long term.

TRT is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I started three years ago shortly after starting a weight training regimen. My personal trainer recommended I get my levels checked. Turns out I was clinically low. I did not notice a huge difference until week number two. I remember I was doing chest, shoulders and triceps and suddenly had this extra boost of energy & strength blended with what I call a peaceful aggression. An overall feeling of well-being set in along with an attitude of “I can”. What followed is better sleep, better sex, more muscle, more energy, calmness, going to sleep quickly and waking up feeling rested. TRT is not for everyone. However, TRT has provided outstanding results for me.

Didn't feel wired but tired that night, but instead relaxed and sleepy. I just had this big smile on my face that i couldn't get rid of lol it was so strange. So I'm in the process of sending my test results off and have an appointment on August 15th to talk with him about TRT. I went from working out 5-6 times a week, to maybe once every 2 weeks. Drastic weight gain in the past 7-8 months. Also just overall more depressed, I'm about to be 36 and I'm not anywhere near where I want to be. So I'm doing something about it.

It amazes me how fast the baseline has gone DOWN in the last 50 years and how many doctors still don’t want to do anything about it. We need healthy and strong men in society. Just do the best you can to raise it naturally if your levels are low. In fact no matter how low they are you should always try to fix it naturally. Eat oysters. Get sun (vitamin D). I chalked it up to getting older. But I went and did it...It literally gave me back about 20 years it seems. Had some initial side effects regarding my estrogen levels but once we got that under control - nothing but positive. Biggest positive for me is the increase in my energy and the ability to keep muscle while trying to reduce fat. WARNING: TRT is a lifestyle not a "magic shot" of testosterone that takes away problems. I asked my pharmacist if he could recommend a hormone replacement clinic in my area and I ended up getting a 10 minute lecture on the dangers of TRT and how it would greatly increase my risk of prostate cancer later in my life. I asked the pharmacist if he had any scientific evidence to support his theory and he did not. I'm curious if anyone else has heard this before and if there really is any scientific evidence to back it up? My personal physician just laughed when I asked him about TRT therapy and told me that I shouldn't even consider it because my testosterone numbers hit the low end of the scale (300). I really enjoyed this video because it deals with subject matter that the general public views as "taboo", I hope that you continue the discussion of this subject on your channel Rich. Thanks.

I’ve been on TRT for 3 months, I’m just 44 and i should have done this 7 years ago....
Learning about this and how dropping testosterone effects your personality, mental health, decision making, rational, subservience etc etc has changed my life....
I used to be and Alpha but dropping test made me turn into an old woman, I started to notice that my 17 year old son seemed to be more of a man that me.
I’d become Beta! I was making poor Beta decisions and choices....
I had started at the gym about 14 months ago to turn my life around when I met a psychologist.... after a big chat he assured me that the reason I’m a big girl was 100% low Test...
Everything seemed to add up so I begun TRT.... I now feel like a million dollars, my physique is good, I’m strong and I’ve got my confidence back, I actually feel like I’ve become myself again.
Forgive me for explaining ‘subservience’ hope I do it just....’ less than a servant’
I found myself giving in to everything and everyone and becoming a door mat, wanting to keep the peace and please everyone...now i have zero interest in pleasing anyone, I’m totally focusing on myself and my game.
TRT has enabled me to deal with situations like a man (Alpha) inc getting a Hernia ( work not gym), a relationship ending and generally life being hard...
My attitude has been ‘nothing will stop me’

I ironically started my own recently along with a massive Vitamin D therapy & am amazed how much more energy I have now at 55, almost like being 10 years younger. My wife had been taking the female form of Hormone therapy a couple months before & I was impressed how much it helped her & started researching it for myself. Been on this program for only a month now & I've seen at least a conservative 30% difference so far & I'm quite sure it will improve even more, highly recommended to reverse the aging problem & symptoms with it. My Testosterone was in the basement in the very low levels & as a hard working Painting Contractor it was becoming difficult to perform my work long days the last 3 years, I'm on initial injections & now on a Pharmaceutical Testosterone Creme therapy that is quite effective my friend & having a lot more fun behind the wheel of my Hemi Challenger too.

    • @MrPazex
      @MrPazex 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@runeskyttsing9089 Hej igen =) inga problem alls.
Hur stor dos Tostrex tar du dagligen, 1 påse??

Might be an important tidbit: make sure you get a prostate exam at some point for a baseline and possibly sometime during TRT. Paying attention to estradiol levels may be crucial to avoid prostate enlargement as excess estrogen over time is linked to growth, but only use aromatose inhibitors as your labs call for them. Crashing your normal estrogen levels can be just as (if not more) debilitating to your sex life and mental health. Love the vid, man! Glad you’re feeling better!

Never had too much trouble with the restroom fortunately after several cycles. We’re talking 6 months’ worth (I was in a bad way, clean of everything now).
We have to take into account that prolactin buildup will occur when taking testosterone if left unchecked. Bloods should be done before starting and every 2-3 months to assess.
Your night sweats were likely related to prolactin buildup depending on dosage of T. Your PCT protocol and diligence with aromatase inhibitors based on labwork and physical symptoms could’ve played a part.
Then again, you may have aggravated a genetic predisposition to enlarged prostate. Ask your family if anyone else suffers your problem and if they recommend a urologist. I wish you well.

While I definitely recommend and condone treatment for us older guys, I am always a bit concerned when guys in their thirties and even early forties feel the need to start. Of course lifestyle and genetics plays a role. Maintain a good diet and exercise regimen, get adequate rest , manage stress levels (perhaps the hardest thing!) and hopefully you should be able to hold-off treatment for a few years.

For me, the biggest selling point was the brain fog I had been experiencing (I wrote this comment before I heard you mention brain fog at 3:28 . . . . interesting you used the same word). It absolutely did make a difference. I have also seen a response in muscle growth due to exercise . . . . It's amazing to me that I'm now watching videos about TRT after having been a pro bodybuilder for decades and now having been clean for more than 10 years. There's very few combinations, benefits or side effects that I've not encountered over those years training/competing but here I am at 57 looking to other people for their input/information. That seems crazy but I will say with 100% certainty that everything you said in that video is gospel truth and I appreciate that. I'm headed out this week to get my blood panels done so I can move forward with optimization. To anyone on the fence as to whether to do it or not I can't/won't try to sway you either way. It's a very personal choice but if you're looking for someone to get a clear understanding of what journey you're going to embark on this guy is the real deal. I don't know him, I have no monetary gain in this, I simply listened to what he's saying and he's telling you the truth and at the end of the day that's all you can hope for from anyone on here. Final thing:- I've found slight adjustments to amounts based on how I'm feeling are working pretty well, freestyling as it were. If it's only in order to feel better in your head, DHEA usually does the trick. I'd try DHEA first. Also, try EMS (electric muscle stimulation). Even the hardest gainers get +20% muscles in a matter of weeks through EMS (without steroids!). You may not go above +20% but even that can improve your figure alot. Note that it seems HCG is not able to prevent balls shrinkage, it only makes it less severe.

Called up old friends and began to socialize again. I saw how pretty my wife was... something I hadn't noticed for many years. Suddenly started to see beauty again. Life is really good now a year later. This saved my life and marriage without a doubt. Stopped the pain medication nearly cold Turkey and my doc was thrilled to see my improvement month over month.

My friend was doing the TRT shots, and he says he feels much better. I was tested and found my T level was 252, so started the TRT cream. Then I had my T levels checked again and my T levels went down to 230..? WTF? So I went back to the Doc and she wanted my to double the dosage on the cream, my response was negative doc. So I started the TRT shots 2 months ago, and I will have my T levels tested in 1 month. Will give an update to see if the TRT is working. So far I feel like I am doing a little better in the gym, and lifting more and my endurance is a little better, but we will see. Oh, and I turn 60 in 2 months.. Additionally, my Doctor has told me I look so much better, and whatever I am doing, to keep it up.. Sex drive is great, lifting heavier, endurance is much greater... sleeping better.. all in all, yes I would so go for it,..
Update: Had my T levels tested when I had blood work done, after 90 days of Intramuscular Injections (IMI) - my T level shot up from 252 to 512.. and my initial injections were 1mg every 2 weeks, and I am increasing the injections to 1.25mg every 2 weeks.. Will give an update in a few weeks.. cause I am going to have my blood levels tested in 2 weeks, and it will be 6 months since I started the injections.

My levels were at 600 when I started. Now I’m about 1100 and feel great. I have good workouts and the sex is great

I believe you when you say you feel better and I'm the last person to tell you you shouldn't do it.. But, at 600 ng/dl you don't have hypogonadism and TRT is questionable.

@@mikejankowski6492 are you serious? My 61 year old dad tested at 761 ng/dl. of Total Test. No TRT. Natural. Hardly works out properly. 600 might be amazing for you because you probably have high Free T at 600. In my family we need 1000 to have high Free T which is what I have.

A test of 600 is perfectly normal. If your test gets too high the negative begin to outweigh the benefits.
