@@trueant9322 Yes and protoss suffers much less from hard counters at D2 or below because at that level the counters against toss are hard to manage (Ghosts, Libs, Raven for disable)...even vikings get fucked by stalkers if they are not in good position...Prolevel terran is clearly the best race because you can micro very well but below D2 you really dont get much of the Terran race potential whereas toss is A click + storm all the way.

Sometimes I wonder how people get to that kind of MMR doing these things. Maybe this was just a bad game for him, but YOLOing marines into colossi feels more like a move that I’d make (in silver league).

Probably not always true, but it gives an idea of how much our quality of play varies. On a good day I win about 60-70% of my games. On a bad day, I make the same mistakes I did in silver (I'm in plat).

That or return to the tank range and drop the reinforcement on the nat. Or wait for the bio to heal and move the tanks forward. or just return to his base while leaving drops for the nat and the third. Or build libs since opponent was just closing his eyes and pressing the colossi and immortal button. Or even just go back remax, go 3 3 and a move. That terran surely sucked.

No way this is masters on korean server. protoss extremly passive entire game which never happens, weird build that's not been seen above diamond 3 in EU, moving his entire army to deal with pheonix harass (which also looked low tier diamond ), maxing out before combat shields are done.
i swear playing tank based styles in the current meta just loses you games,no reason to get tanks other than to defend 2 base bs doesnt help if you forget to even produce tanks either if you went for it
Well, in SC1 Protoss was imba. Storms would kill instantly. Toss could have 600 supply if you used a dark archon to turn a worker each of the other 2 races. The turning was not bound to any movement like with infestors, but once turned, they stayed that way. Templars as well as dark archons could kill whole armies in an instant without any costs but a bit of energy, without any way to mitigate the damage. Mages energy could be emptied using science vessels or they could be instantly killed using queens, but range of dark archons was higher than that of both those units.
*TBH, I doubt it will ever happen... I mean the only way that would happen is if a progamer that's around Harstem's level submits a replay. But the thing is, at such high level, most players understand "IMBA" is mostly just from mistakes and true "IMBA" doesn't really exist.* *Progamers know better to find out what they could have done better than to just whine about IMBA when they lose.* *This series is really just for entertainment from Harstem having the opportunity to point out flaws, give tips, and to trash someone who's being sour..*
Yes, actually, this game was completely imba! There was no answer to the colossus in the first fight, and the marines got incinerated in seconds, because in isolation colossus + a meat shield are absolutely imba vs marines. Sure, macro wasn't quite on point, but macro wasn't quite on point for P either, so we can ignore that. This game reminded me of the demo blizzard released 10 years ago when they were trying to show the power of the colossus in a fight set up to show exactly that.

Lets be honest Harstem claimed that unless the fight went terrible, his push had to finish the game. The fight was not terrible, it was decent even, since he EMP'd the entire protoss army, but his push still got crushed. That was definitely IMBA, and Harstem did not even give him that. Only later on, when he realized that the Terran forgot combat shield, he understood why the fight went that way. Bias much?
Colossi hard-counter marines. Tanks and vikings exist for a reason. If you choose not to use them and attack into colossi with pure clumped-up bio, your loss is your fault.

If the terran had combat shields, he would have obliterated that engagement, because he was ahead in upgrades and had a much bigger army. On top of that, he landed an EMP on the entire army, effectively killing half their HP. Sometimes you get such massive macro advantages that nothing else matters, and the game should work like that.
Thats the point..he fucked up the second phase of that fight. He overextended..not siding with harstem, but u gotta see man, he didnt even focus fire the colossi, due to the fact that he overextended, and colossi IS a direct counter to marines, and boy does greatbold have a lot of marines, minus combat shields nonetheless. Not to mention he didnt even scout after the banshee strike, which honestly, is a bad move on him..
