    While I really like Samsung dex, and generally view Samsung as a buy. 1199 and no MicroSD card makes it a hard no. Bluntly we're heading into a time where I'll get phones with what I want for 1/3 the price and the top phones don't even have the features that I want. Its akin to Apple and the removing of ports. And thats before we get into vendors yanking the headphone socket.

      Stop living in the past - a few people didn't (and some still don't) accept removal of the headphone port. Really you have to get with the times, all ports on these phones will be going bye bye in future. So if you are buying a $1000+ phone then spend a bit extra for the storage you need, if you need more storage make use of cloud storage or direct to usb-c hard drives. Though I can't for the life of me think how or why you are filling up your phone entirely. Are you just video recording non-stop? I initially appreciated curved displays for the immersion. But after owning one (OP7pro), I noticed that it didn't make much difference in being "bezel-less". What they need to work on first is reducing the size of the bezels itself. Once there is literally no bezel, then only maybe curved display would make sense.
      I'm okay with phones whose displays are slightly curved, though (e.g. LG V30). Just nothing as dramatic as the OnePlus 7/8/9 Pro that makes the colors shift.

  • @lucasgulild
    @lucasgulild 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The regular S22 downgrades don't make any sense. It's like they obbey you to buy the Plus or Ultra. Here's why:
    S21 Plus has 6.7" and almost the same battery size of S22 Plus which has 6.6".
    S22 Ultra now have bigger battery than S21 Ultra even with the S-Pen.
    S22 has decreased almost the same in the screen/body size and lose 300 mah of battery when the other don't sacrifice anything.
    Even in screen, the Ultra and Plus are 1750 Nits while Regular 1350 Nits.
    The Snapdragon and Exynos 2200 this year generate more heat and consume more energy than the last year flagship, soo ... They decide to make smaller body and smaller battery and SMALLER CHARGER.
    Like ... Iphone 13 Pro doens't make any compromises when comparing it to the Iphone 13 Pro Max when comes to features. The only difference is the screen size plus battery because of the extra power to drive more pixels.

      @@Space97. it’s not that the 6.5 inch+ phones are oversized it’s more that they’re what’s being made nowadays and not everybody appreciates those. Apple was probably the only company that made reasonable sized phones at 6.1 inches and then most recently mini phones at 5.4. Now that they’re killing the mini with the 14 (Altho I’m sure they’ll still sell the 13 mini at a reduced price when the 14 series comes out just like the 13) they were the only ones still doing it with their 6.1 inch iPhones, until now with Samsungs regular S22

    I am just really impressed that people still care about flagship phones these days. :) But perhaps that's because I am not a heavy phone user myself. I use a Moto One Vision which I bought 3 years back for 250EUR... I'm still very happy with it. Camera is good enough for your typical point and shoot (with sharp images and natural bokeh effects) The SoC is fast enough to open apps almost instantaneously. I basically use mine mainly for texting, calling, video calling, photograpy, filming, I also use it as a webcam (connected over USB to the computer), listen to music, watching youtube. Question is, what do you guys use your phones for, that require flagship specs?

    • @Johnnygga
      @Johnnygga 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Switching between heavy modern social media apps (Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, IG, etc) on the fly back and forth is very taxing on the CPU and battery. Much more than what you’re saying you use it for. People do the social media switching ON TOP of what you describe you do with your phone.
      Flagships handle these tasks without breaking a sweat AND the cameras come out crystal clear for sharing and posting on social media. Plus, if you’re dating somebody it’s amazing getting nudes on and from an iPhone 13 Pro Max 😜

      @@Johnnygga I mean, I use IG, Twitter, (mostly for texting oddly enough) Slack, Discord, YT, YT Studio, Google Duo, Hangouts, Gmail and Firefox and I switch between them regularly. Speed is still adequate since I have 4GB on my cheap phone. But yeah, I really don't care much for social media in the normal sense..
      Hahaha, you make a compelling argument there though! xD I get to see my girl nude irl everytime I meet her so that's okay! ;) But you're right. She has a Nexus 5X still. It's 7 years old and her photos are really bad these days. But I actually think something is broken within the camera to be honest. It handles dark environments much worse than before. My photos on the other hand are insanely sharp. No complaints there.

    I don't understand why people make a big deal out of not getting a SD card slot?
    I mean, how many people use an SD card today? and a bigger question is why do people even need one, we get more than enough storage on these phones and even free limited cloud storage. And an SD is by default way slower than the phones' internal memory drive, and also is a costly thing, at a cheaper rate, you will only get a low memory SD card. So, firstly it's expensive, you don't need it, you got better options like backing them on your laptop.

I wish to see something new other than “bigger display”, “more ram”, “more/big megapixels/sensor”, “faster charging”. I mean these features aren’t wrong. These phone releases should be proof that you're paying only to flex (show off) on people to show that you have the latest and greatest. I've learned I just need a phone to communicate with my clients so I can keep generating revenue & not to keep dumping money at these big companies.

    Samsung phones always look great when you look at paper specs but in reality things are way different. Yes I love their innovation on the hardware side, but software seems kinda mediocre. It’s filled with annoying bloatware and isn’t as stable as iOS for example. Neither do I think Samsungs have the best Cameras nor displays.
