Cool video I didn't know Liverpool had a subway. Seem like all the stations look the same though.

Merseyrail had a big refurb of the underground stations in 2015/16.
They used to have brown plastic looking walls with seats recessed into them, which were actually quite cool looking.

Just to say Moorfields is not unique, in having all Merseyrail services calling at it, as the same applies at Liverpool Central. But, Moorfields is the only station on the system, from where it's possible to travel to every other station on the system, without changing train.

You can see evidence of the walkways in the sky at Old Hall Street. It’s visible at 2:44 where you can see the stairwell behind the totem and the white bit behind your head is where the walkway across the road was to be. The building opposite has a corresponding outcropping. Moorfields was to have an escalator up there too, situated behind the defunct shop opposite the M2GO and accessible near the George Street exit.
Also bit of advice, don’t zoom in so much when walking along. A low field of view makes the video hard to watch.

I'll have a look next time in town.
As for the videos themselves, thanks for the advice. Bad habits I'm afraid. I'm a Chartered Surveyor and take endless hours (for the viewer anyway!) of inspection videos on commercial property, so I'm usually looking more at the detail than the view.
I'll hold the camera higher the next time I do a walkabout.

I used to love the old Moorfields station. It's lost all it's appeal since they modernised it

I used to love sitting in the recessed brown moulded seats on the platforms and the “Liverton” mural is no more.

I wish I'd know about the two entrances in my teens/20's - that would have saved a lot of drunken confusion on a Saturday night wondering if I'd got off at the wrong station again...

The loop line has always had problems with water ingress. I dont think its particularly to do with the depth as the tunnel under the mersey is significantly deeper. But rather that the tunnel is cut through sandstone which is very porous.

@@DIEMLtdTV Subway stations that are deep often have problems with water as it is the case in other cities including Montreal. Ii certainly depends on the type of rock underground rivers and streams.

Would help if you actually held the camera up so we can see where you're going 🙄

I take a lot of property inspection videos and don’t want to gather any personal information of anyone working in the building, so old habits die hard.
