you all probably dont care at all but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me.
Hi, can you do a video with how traditional manga artists work with their assistants on their manga? I am very curious as to how they handle the art work since everybody has their own style to their drawings and I would really like to know how it affects the end result of the manga. Thank you Btw, your videos are very useful and informative!
Finding the right dip pen and traditional inking tools is always a learning process and finding what works for you! You don't need to break the bank when it comes to dip pens as all the ones for art are fairly affordable and the correct ink for dip pen use is all fairly inexpensive.
OK this is great but hold on with the Palomino Blackwing replica not being that much better than a normal pencil... it's an insane brand of pencils, and they cost like not even 4 bucks here in Canada, so it's not like there selling the brand either.
I wish there was some way for me to get more english advice for using the Gpen. I have so many issues/confusion over it's function. Like, mine always seems to be scratching, missing lines, and I can never get the line weight on command (i assume that's just a practice thing). I've also seen artists draw in every direction with the pen, but when I do this it cuts into the page or I can't get the same line weight I see artists achieve while drawing up/away from myself. I've watched Nebu_Kuro (One Punch Man)'s live streams and that man can work wonders with the Gpen. I'd love to get even 10% of his skill with it but my biggest obstacle right now is I just don't know where to ask for problems I'm having. And because of this I feel like my "practicing" and copying are not developing my skills because I'm so under informed.
You might have an easier time if you cast your proverbial net into calligraphy circles as well. Highly-flexible nibs for dip pens like G-Pen are quite popular with calligraphers who work in fonts with substantial line variation, such as Spencerian. (They do a lot of flourishing strokes that go in all sorts of seemingly odd directions too.)
grab a lighter and run the nib over it most nibs have a protective coating that prevents them from gripping ink good, make sure your consistently cleaning dry ink too. if its cutting paper your either not applying enough ink or are pressing too hard also make sure that the back of the nib is always facing away from your hand most artist have figured out how to naturally do this which is why you see them being able to draw in every direction
use alcohol or your own saliva but burning it causes a lot of damage....he already has problems with the g-pen scratching the paper. I know there are those shitty yt videos w 400k views telling you to burn it... just dont burn it its unprofessional.
Old comment but make sure you use smooth, good quality paper too because it’s easy for the nib to catch onto rough paper. And using the right ink too (sumi ink)
Maxon don't produce anymore those holders, it's a shame because they seem really handful and also because i can't find any similar item (either with this type of screwing insert, and with double sides). Do you know any similar holder to these that is stil selled?
The video is a great help. There's one thing I still don't understand about manga is that the scripts are so neat and dynamic, are they drawn by hands or printed on?
why my g, maru and saji pen not works with white ink? I have white maxon comic ink and winsor e newton white ink and I can't draw white line on black (black kaimei ink 360ml)
So what does a transer do exactly? I'm trying to look it up on google but it keeps asking me if I meant transfer? I tried to find one on eBay, but I'm having no luck.
what? waterproof for copic? not true. Pilot not waterproof? not true... the waterproof ink is for using water for gray tones, or to be able to correct with white without the 2 different inks mixing. i think he got confused because of the troll sitting on his side lol. for copic you need alchool proof not water proof.
"and sometimes when youre hungry you can do this"
You two make such a fun comedy duo. you being the Boke and Mikey the Tsukkomi hahhaha

@Lennon Van Instablaster ;)
I was worried they're gonna knock over the open ink bottle at one point and we'll be treated to a Gintama-type panic attack.
The chopsticks bit killed me.
Greetings from Russia! Thank you very much for your content and for the english subtitles. I'm learning Japanese, でもまだまだですね。お疲れ様でしたー
