In this episode I share some tips, measurements and other suggestions on my trucks DIY Viper Cut. This video will be helpful to other Navara D40, Frontier 2nd Gen, and Pathfinder R51(facelift) owners. I think this much cheaper option, for those looking for more clearance or those with tyre size issues will benefit. Hopefullly from the tips I offer, you'll be able to work out your preferences. Deciding the angle of your cuts, and where there will be. Definitely spend a little money on the door trim edging, this gives the mod a finished look. This mod has really improved the preformance of my rig, and looks more rugged and unique now!

BRILLIANT viper cut! Really looks good especially from the front end 👌 Appreciate you sharing the measurements and creating angles method…if you wouldn’t mind sharing, where I’d pick up those fog lights? Look awesome! Thanks again

@@StevenWashington-x7q Wow and BIG thanks for your great comment Steven, really glad you think so and glad I could help!! Sure thing, I switched the originals out, for a 2 in 1 LED Fog/DRL it’s the Type 2 - for Nissan Navara D40. Purchased from powerfuluk.com TH-cam.com/@L663 these guys do some great 4X4 gear 😎

This really does look good! How did you finish the liner? Most guys cut it clean off, yours looks a lot better! Thanks for sharing

Thanks very much for your comment! Once you've made your cuts to the bumper, unbolt and unscrew any parts attached underneath. Then pull the liner up towards the new cut angles, mark where they meet and trim off excess. To hold the liner in place I drilled holes where possible on liner and bumper and cable tied. Hope this helps bro!

Very nice, clean looking rig bro! A lotta of us window washers in the states run trucks. Do you have any other mods?!

EXCELLENT JOB!!! Thanks for the inspiration... Quick question. At the 2:20 mark. It looks like you cut the inner lining a bit short, then used a heat gun to bend it to the angle needed to match the bumper. Please advise at your earliest convenience... Thanks in advance for your time, and thank you again for posting this.

BIG thanks for your supportive comment! Much appreciated…
Leave the liner until you’ve completely finished viper cuts. When matching liner to new bumper lines, pull it up towards that cut edge and mark where it meets. Then cut off excess. Try not to cut liner short, so as to fall behind the new edge, as you need the liner to slightly wedge against the bumper to hold well. Leave the lower part of liner, as this will give you some options for securing it to the lower front end of bumper with cable ties. Cut anything else off you feel is untidy. Also if you can zoom in on video at 2:20 you’ll notice I’ve drilled some small holes a few mm in from the edge of liner and looped cable ties through. I found a couple of spaces behind liner to secure these also. You won’t need to heat the liner with a gun, as it will be easy enough to pull into position. Buy some tough, extra long cable ties, so you can reach whatever secure points are available on bumper. Your rig will be stand out, and I wish you all the best with your mod 🫡
