I couldn't tell if this level was the biggest spoof or the most accurate representation of a genre in the game.
of course the one way to find out is to do what Shinji oughta do more often....get in the freakin robot
Well, let's analyze this:
- It takes place in space.
- Your main character is a robot/Lizard hybrid who spouts cheesy one liners
- You get attacked by Japanese school girls who know martial arts.
- You get attacked by Robots with extendable Kendo sticks.
- You get attacked by bigger robots with giant drills and laser guns.
Yes; this is the greatest representation of Anime. All we needed was a cheesy love interest who doesn't want to admit she loves hi- Oh wait... Agent Extra.

I guess this level referenced to anime shows from 1960 to 1995 like Astro Boy, Captain Harlock, Black Jack, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, Space Battleship Yammato, Legendary Ninja Cats.......etc.

If the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is as great a success as the Crash N. Sane Trilogy,
Then maybe whoever own the rights to Gex
Gets inspired to make A Gex Trilogy Remake.

The series rights are currently held by Square Enix.
And Square has stated; they are openly accepting idea pitches for a new game on Gex, as well as other IPs they have and don't know what to do with. Dunno if that offer is still open; but one can hope a Gex trilogy remake may come one day.

As much as wed love to see it i think square enix are far too invested in remaking final fantasy right now

I'll step up, and try it, heck I'm thinking about having a playable female character that plays like Gex, but instead of a karate kick, she'll just have a double jump and a roll.

There were many fun levels in this game like Holiday Broadcast or Tut TV (kinda annoying doe) also Western level is fun IMO, but this level is masterpiece in every single bit

I've played through the entire level all in one go a few times, simply to listen to this track, that's how good it is.

My favorite theme hands down!!
I kept playing this stage cause of the soundtrack and I loved anime fromthe old days not knowing it was anime and had the interest of Japan with technology and ass kicking films! XD
there were moments when this level made me almost rage quit but the music kept me going lol easily one of my favorite tracks in the whole game.

I love this track, level, and game. ^_^ I originally wanted Gex 2, and told the employee at K-Mart to get Gex 2, but he grabbed this instead. I'm glad he did, I like this better.
I love both games, the one I would call my favorite changes day by day just because I love them both so much

For some reason, when I was a kid, I saw the little flying mechs that you can whack to get coins as robot bunnies. Now we have D.Va. so if I ever play this awesome game again to play this awesome stage, I will be seeing little D.Va mechs.
