We don’t see her perform so often these days but when she does it’s truly magical. And would you believe that in her long career this is only the second Christmas song she’s performed. The first one was in 2015 when she was 78!
She actually lost her voice in the late 80s after losing her daughter, and needed vocal training to get it back. I wonder if that helped to sustain it.
The woman is unbelievable!! I have been a fan since I was 12 and I'm now 72 and Dame Shirley never fails to amaze me. I had shivers going down my back and yes tears in my eyes. We will never see the like of her again. Dame Shirley you are the BEST!!!

Amazing she sustained most of her incredible voice at age 83. Never seen or heard anyone do it like that before. She works hard and healthy.
