Lolla Rossa is one of my favorites! Some of the best spinach I have ever grown was overwintered. It survived our cold winter and grew beautifully the next spring for an early harvest.
Looks great Misilla! Your garden is doing fabulous! We don't have much of a Fall season yet here in Sacramento, California. More like Summer! Today was 93! I did plant some fall veggies already though, and they seem to be doing okay. Hopefully, our weather cools down soon! That red leaf lettuce looks great. I will have to get some seeds!
I love the variety you introduced . Believe Ill try the kale next year .I live in nc .Thank you for the video .Any good ideas for crafts for a toddler ? For my grandson .Thank you .GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY !
I'd like for you to show more of slugs. We don't have them here in Northern Illinois up to Central Wisconsin. Only little ones under a rock maybe. I worked with a gal about 25 years ago and she was from the Seattle area. She told me about slugs and I really didn't get it until we had internet (1995?) and could see what she was talking about.
Hi, I learned a lot from my mom, aunt and uncle, as well hands on, reading random things online and of course from other TH-camrs! We can learn from one another. Thank you for stopping by! Misilla
I love your channel! I just stumbled upon it ♡ question! I have a large garden planned for next year, but am new to gardening outside of summer. What kinds of veggies should/could I be planting now to harvest in the winter, or plant in the winter to harvest in spring??
Hi Kalyn, I'm sorry for my delayed response. For fall you can grow leafy greens such as lettuce, spinach, kale, collard greens, bok choy and broccoli. You can also grow carrots, beets or turnips. It may be too cold depending on your zone to sow seeds, but if your local garden center or hardware store carries young plants such as mentioned above you can still put them in the ground now, at least a few weeks before it freezes. You can plant garlic at least 2 to 3 weeks before the first frost, so you need to look up your frost date on farmer's almanac.com. I plant potatoes in the winter too with heavy mulch of dried leaves or grass clippings to prevent them from freezing, at least 6 to 8 inches of mulch. I hope this helps! Thank you very much for tuning in! Have great weekend! Misilla
I just found your channel I'm moving to Mississippi where it don't get cold. Do you think I can grown all year around? Do I supposed to grow certain things at certain time? Or because it will be hot all year around I'm fine?
Hi Amanda, you should be able to grow year round. If you have mild winters, you can grow cool weather crops that you grow in the spring! That's going to be exciting to be able to grow all year! Thanks for watching! Misilla

It's getting cold so I'm not seeing as many slugs, but they get big here!
That's good you don't have then there!
Nice harvest...
Thank you Tera!
What books do you read about gardening? and how did you get started?

Really nice harvest, what's the name of those potatoes?
Thank you! They're a type of fingerling potato, but I don't remember the exact name. :)
OK I see if I can find them, take care!

some birds love slugs so try putting up a bird feeder where slugs are feeding.
Great idea, thank you!

Silla, did you have any gardening in your upbringing? You seem to have some country girl in you.....
Yes! Both my mother and auntie are gardeners. They grew up in a farm in the Philippines with goats and horses!
