    This is so awesome, I've been working on something similar - what was the tool used on the foam? Was that just a hot knife?

    • @tbdnd
      @tbdnd  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep! Just a heat knife and a heat gun, they’re pretty cheap and can be found at most hardware stores.

    Hi ... what an awesome Gaming Room! LOVE IT!!! 😍
    I have a Question ... can you tell me where you find those animated Wallpapers you use for your big background screen? I am searching something like that for decades now :(

    • @tbdnd
      @tbdnd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the ambiance comes from amazing creators here on TH-cam! When we release our sessions we’ll also be crediting the ambiance creators, but they’re not difficult to find if you search for “dnd ambiance” on TH-cam. Some of our favorites come from @GuildofAmbiance

  • @typicaltrex8524

    Be aware that with really cheap DMX lights, when you go to wire them up they will tend to not be internally terminated. What does that mean for you? You may experience unusual flickering / unexpected settings changes on the lights. To prevent this, make sure the last device in the chain has a terminator (basically a XLR plug end with no wire but has a resistor inside it that bridges the data line to ground). This prevents data signal transient reflections from coming back up the line and being interpreted as changes by the lights.
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_termination

    • @tbdnd
      @tbdnd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, that’s extremely helpful! We’ll keep that in mind when we’re able to wire them up.

    Great job gives e ideas for my garden mancave for D&D,only thing i would have done different would have been to added a wash to the stonework before mounting to the walls,the ambient scenes on the tv are awesome,where did you get the images from ?

    Any issues with cell service? Reason I ask is the insulation foam with the aluminum backing would lead me to believe it would mess with the signal?

    • @tbdnd
      @tbdnd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, good question. We haven’t noticed anything, and the foam is made to go inside walls, so I would assume not.

    I love your game room :) I have a couple of questions. How High are your ceilings? Because I am building my room in a basement with only 215cm to the ceiling :) And what's the dimensions of those lanterns? I am also curious about how tall the faux Stone wall is :) I am trying to kinda replicate this look. I would also like to know the dimensions of the boards on the Walls❤

    I am trying to do the foam wall project myself, and I am the exact same foam boards as you
    I am having a problem cutting them vertically to trim for shorter walls - I understand the tops don't have to be perfect, but the sides do in order to connect them together without gaps
    How do you cleanly cut the sides?
