Man, thanks for making this video. This is super important considering that the cost of flagships have reached the sky and quality of materials being used is not improving so for a typical 5yrs utilization of device there would be atleast 1 battery change required and with greenline issue maybe even a display change.. God forbid if motherboard breaks then that is the worst scenario.

Well I got my dad a samsung s22 around 2 years ago, recently the display broke but the repair costed around 15k post taxes and the display alone would cost 13-13.5k, so it's quite surprising to see how the newer models cost a little more half of the price of its predecessor.

What I have noticed over my phones is that does not matter if it's Samsung or sony or pixel as soon as soon as you break a major component like display. just change the phone even if you repaired it, not going to be same as before and it will be defective again. So just skip it overall repair put it to exchange get new one be done with it. This has been my experience with xperiaZR, galaxy J7, realme 2 pro and pixel 7 (pixel repair is also quite reasonable took only 8k)

My brand new Nothing 2 motherboard was dead a few months ago due to water damage, The cost of motherboard was quoted as 33k by the service center, i had bought the mobile in 37k. Nothing is worst in terms of repairability!

3:24 Battery replacement are slightly overpriced but wait for EU user replaceable battery laws❤
Government should make rules to extend warranty on motherboards, network receivers and other internals.
If Premium devices were as good as the manufacturers advertise then they better give warranties on diffrent parts accordingly like; 4 years for motherboards, 3 years for charging ports, buttons, microphone and speakers. They also should provide defects agaisnt water damaged fir 2 years if the device has Ip68 rating.
If in future I somehow become politician these rules will be my priority.😊

Apple only know to charge a hefty amount.
About 2 months back due to software update, my iPhone 13 mini's display got mini rainbow effect like issue. People had green line issue, my device got caught in freaking 3 thick colour bands. I then enquired its new display cost they said it won't be replaced for free as it's out of warranty even when it happened due to software update (v17.x). They said cost of new display is ₹24k. Can't even sell in such condition and not willing to spend so much. Also, new display warranty is just 3 months so, after that they can send again crappy updates and damage again.
Pathetic experience, will never promote Apple products.
OnePlus have atleast announced free display replacement to all their devices and it's true as my colleague got it replaced on OnePlus 8 for free and that too twice.

Also samsung phones service center repairs are cheaper than normal market shops.

Finally an Indian youtuber talked about the high end repair cost of apple when compared to samsung.
Samsung should be the most value for money purchase whether it be a tv or phone. Their repair is affordable when compared with other brands.
    That's why I love samsung.

Display of s21ultra costs 24,000 at offline stores as i surveyed on 11-12-2024 (21,600 mentioned on official website). It's highest in samsung segment
It's because it's curved or maybe something else (this is my opinion).

Unfortunately I had to replace it because it stopped working suddenly without any drop or damage. You cannot replace only the display, the whole border of the phone, which is a single piece CNC aluminium block on which the display is stuck by OEM gets replaced, you basically get a brand new body, except the back glass, costed me around 20k a few years back, I'm glad my s24u doesn't have a curved display.

Repair cost is low for recently launched phones. But on older phones repair cost is to high...on average for normal phone only people start repair in 3 to 4th year....on flagship we expect it to be alright till 4 to 5 years least...if you check price after that time it would be too high... display cost for s24 8k.... display cost for s10 lite 10k
