This is why I have been watching Your videos...for caves for kitties! So of the five videos I watched today I forced myself to let all the ads play thru til the end as a thank You for this info! Thank You!!
You are fascinating to watch! My grandfather was a cement mason and built his own castle/tower. I wish I would’ve had the desire when I was younger to learn from him. The artistry caught up to me later in life. Thank you for your informational videos. You’ve got yourself another fan!
Well thank you for your kind and positive feedback I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and I thank you for subscribing to my channel. Welcome to the wide world of synthetic rock.
Just digging in to your videos. You would have made an amazing teacher in school. The fun kind, that everyone was late to the next class because of. Now to catch up on my homework.
My grandfather was a cement mason and built a lot of things for his city. He also built himself his own tower/castle (Northmoor Castle, Kansas City, MO). I could’ve learned a lot from him when I was younger but I didn’t get the crafty desire until I was older. Thank you for sharing such wonderful videos! You’ve got yourself another subscriber! :)
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Jordy Uriel thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

I so enjoy watching a creative mind work! The use of foam is just genius. Light weight but strong. The only problem is I have so many ideas myself for my projects. Thank you. I have a suggestion for you - They now have wheel barrel that has 2 wheels in the front and it is incredibly stable when at rest or when you move a object. I'm 74 and it allows me to move things with such ease - check them out. Your video's are a blessing to me. Thank you!
I have a couple years of saved foam for stuff like this. Just tossed it in the backyard was going to throw it away but now I’m thinking of trying my hand at this
@@fauxrock I definitely had a passion for carving rocks use to do it with styrofoam when I was a teenager for my aquariums just never knew how to monetize it into profit

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner… I appreciate you watching my videos How to make a rock using a foam core and or using a trash bag rock (part 2) th-cam.com/video/B3mlRqLxWtI/w-d-xo.html
Now I'm inspired. I'm imaging using a garbage bag filled with bean bag styrofoam stuffing. Shape the bag where you want it, build up the shell, then dump out the fill from the bottom, and reuse the styrofoam as many times as you want... Where has this man been my whole life! lol! Edit: My husband just reminded me that he got a free bag of styrofoam peanuts bigger than I am a few years ago that's sitting in the shed waiting for a purpose. I think I just found it's purpose.
Do these work ok in a berm? We get heavy rains and I want some rocks on a down slope so I can make some beds bed it but worried about a foam rock washing away.
Hi there, You reference and demonstrate the use of Hydroseal quite often. A product with the same name in Australia is a bituminous based solution for similar uses. Is this the same, or similar at least, to what you use. Love the information you're sharing.
Please give me the name of the cloth you use that embedded into the mortar? Is it something I can get at stores such as Lowes? Is the cloth a necessary part of making the faux rock?
It’s not needed, but it does make the rock stronger… Home Depot 48" x 150' Non-Adhesive Stucco Mesh www.lowes.com/pd/BOEN-48-in-x-150-ft-Non-Adhesive-Stucco-Mesh/1001764418

Yes from time to time, But I prefer the use of nonmetal reinforcement because most metal will rust out in a given period of time where the synthetic or the textile reinforcements will last forever

I have three different electric knives for cutting foam and could make a blade profile to whatever shape I wanted to cut, but in this particular case, the fine-tuning of carving, the exacting formation would be difficult with a hot knife. Thanks for watching my video.

Lowes or Home Depot will carry the mesh.
Is it possible to build faux wall inside pond.possibly crack coz of water pressure.
I’ve made all kinds of these rocks inside and outside of water with no issues

Keep in mind even though the rocks are made using a phone core the cement is still substantial wait to keep a rock in place
I was just thinking here in Nebraska my boulder would blow away if you didn't stake it
Electric carving knife works even better at shaping foam. safer and much easier!
There’s a lot of ways to cut phone that’s for sure but I appreciate your feedback

@@fauxrock what kind of sealant do you use?
I’d use a good 100% acrylic sealer.

Foam masters sell blocks… I’m sure there’s many other that do as well you just need to do a little research
How do you make a hollow rock to hide a utility such as a backflow pipe?
I would suggest you look at my video it’s just before the one you watched where I use cardboard to make the rock it’s a Hollow rock process

electric knife works well on styrofoam. you wouldnt have to suffer through the smoke or vapors that way.
Who said I was suffering from the smoke… I like to inhale Styrofoam vapors lol 😀
That’s a good idea… I never thought about using an electric knife before I have used electric chainsaws and saws all‘s.
