The car's Owner is Randy Guyer. Randy’s had this car since 2008. This car was the last convertible off the production line in 1960, and is highly optioned. Randy shares he saw this car and thought it was so beautiful. After a 9 year restoration, this car looks showroom new.

*Hi, If you like this video, please click on the 🤍 THANKS button under the video title" Thank you! Lou*
Chrysler built some great cars back in the day. Good to see another fine example still here.
Hi Wide Winger, Happy to read you enjoy this one :-) Lou
Exner at his best! This was the last year of inspired Exner as Chrysler set in motion the downsizing and "no fins" which set Exner off into a tangent he'd never solve.
I heard those wheels squeak and the engine wrap and thought...YES! Very nice car
Hi Debbie, NICE! Lou
That electroluminescent instrument cluster is my all-time favourite. Did dashes ever get more classy than that?
Hi Jay, Happy to read you enjoy this instrument cluster :-) Lou
I'm partial to 1960 Chryslers. Love the letter series cars. As rare as they may be, the hardtop wagons are the holy grail of 1960 Chryslers for me.
Happy to read you enjoy the letter cars. Did you see this video? th-cam.com/video/3NNzTyepZGI/w-d-xo.html
@@loucostabile Are those all Randy's cars? I wasn't sure if they were his or the cars restored by Mike. I love the letter cars and the Imperials.
What a stunning car!!! That has got to be one of the most amazing interiors ever created and thank you for showing that fantastic dash in the dark. I am speechless, from front to back, everything about that car is super special!!!
Hi Hobiemarty, Happy to read "What a stunning car!!! That has got to be one of the most amazing interiors ever created" :-) You're welcome, Lou
What a beauty Randy has! I'm a Pontiac guy but there were "muscle cars" way before the GTO and this is one of them. Thanks Lou!
Hi Brian SD, Happy to share this early muscle with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Lou, I cannot get the smile off my face, that was such an excellent video.
And the part where he put the hammer down, oh God I thought it was going to die, that sounded so great.
Hi Bill, Happy to read this video makes you smile :-) Goal of the videos must be FUN....achieved! Lou
..one of my summer cars: a beater of a '70 Fury Gran Coupe with a 440 & a Thermo-Quad..it does sound fabulous with recent dual 2.5" exaust, inc. dual chamber Total Flow muffs. But this 300F, wow!
Peerless looks and a sublime exaust note 🤩
@Norberto Fontanez 2nd gear scratch! Booyaa! :)
Yet another excellent segment Lou. I was born in 1960 and very much appreciate the style and class of the vehicles back in that time. Randy is a real gentleman and we are blessed that he is such a fine steward of this superb automobile. Hope you had a great Fathers Day.
Hi Kevin, High praise for this segment and car :-) Had a nice Fathers days (videoed 3 cars, stay tuned) and hope you had a good Fathers Dasy too, Lou
Magnificent Mopar! 😍 It looks like a Spaceship compared to today's cars ☺
Hi David, Happy to read you enjoy this "Magnificent Mopar!" :-) Lou
..i was thinking..if Darth Vader had a classic car..this would be it! aha..it is amazing, indeed.
What a beautiful restoration of one of the most beautiful Chryslers ever built. Thats as good as it gets!
Hi Mark M, Happy to read "Thats as good as it gets!" :-) Lou
Bumper to bumper beauty. That dash, the engine, everything.Thank you Lou.
High praise :-) You're welcome keeff.
Doesn’t get better than this one, Lou. A 9 yr restoration. That’s quite an F bomb!😁
Hi Ramon, Happy to share this car with you :-) Lou
Just an incredible ride Lou, thank you so much
You're welcome Kevin. My pleasure sharing with you, Lou
Great looking Chrysler ! Always loved these 300s ! Thanks Lou !
Hi Rudy, Happy to read you always loved these 300's (stay tuned, there will be a few more). You're welcome, Lou
That is one mighty Mopar! The 300F was a very classy automobile equipped with the 413 engine, and Torqueflght transmission with push button shifting! That black with brown interior really sets it off! Another great classic from Lou!
Hi Michael, Happy to share this "mighty Mopar!" with you :-) Lou
Always been a Chevy fan but the older I get the more I appreciate the other manufacturers cars of the 50's & 60's. This car has fantastic styling and the interior is gorgeous. The big 3 made some of the best styled cars ever in the 50's and 60's
Hi Steve, Happy to read you appreciate this car too, Lou
These are beautiful cars by any measure. The people who designed and built these automobiles must have been so excited and proud of what they achieved, I know that I would have been totally blown away. This was 1960, approximately 60 years after the first automobiles were built and here we are another 60 years after this car was built. Everything about this car is stunning.
Hi Orwellknew911, Happy to read your comment and glad to read "Everything about this car is stunning." :-) Lou
Man, that car can move, and it looks great doing it, too! Add in Mr. Guyer's matching shirt and you are definitely ready to roll! Thanks, Lou!
Hi TheGunfighter45, Pretty quick for a big car :-) The matching shirt is a nice touch. You're welcome, Lou
Lou another great find and story a definite automotive milestone so well restored deserves the ribbons and trophies like you!
Hi David, Happy to read you enjoy this story and car. My pleasure sharing with you, and glad you're along for the ride, Lou
Stunning restoration! What a nice 300F.
And F Bomb is right - it sounds great!
Thanks as always Lou for this treat.
Hi Jeff, Happy to share the F Bomb with you :-) High praise on the restoration. My pleasure sharing with you. You're welcome, Lou
Absolutely beautiful car and so well engineered. Hard to beat an old Chrysler maybe the pinnacle of automotive history. Great video Lou and thanks!
Hi Gary, High praise :-) You're welcome, Lou
Fins, Fins, Fins! That car is a National Treasure! Thank you, Lou for documenting that one!
Hi Paul, Happy to share this "National Treasure" with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Lou, all hail! Thank you to the gentleman for the stewardship of this museum/concourse peice. Profound.
High praise :-) You're welcome Audie!
Yeah Lou, Like I said before, I'm not a convertible guy but something as beautiful as this could 'convert' me! I always wondered how to get at the spark plugs with this cross ram style and now I know! Thank you for the trip back in time and the history lessons of how machines like this are designed, assembled, and ENJOYED!
Hi lonnyjaw, Happy to read this Convertible can convert you :-) Lou
Wow, unbelievable car. Showstopper! Love it guys thank you !!
Hi Bruce H, Happy to read you enjoy this "Showstopper" :-) You're welcome, Lou
Hi there, Randy and Lou, I was hoping the two of you would stop by and pick me up, lol. What a stunning beauty, thank you for taking us along for the ride.
Hi Chris, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Glad you're along for the ride. You're welcome, Lou
As usual thanks for posting yet another one of you excellent Mopar videos, Lou! The Chrysler 300F Convertible surely is one beautiful and sharp looking automobile and there's no doubt that it turns heads everywhere it goes!
You're welcome JackFlemingFan :-)
Thanks for posting, Lou. What a fantastic survivor this is - well done, Randy. IMHO the Banker's Hot Rod Chrysler 300s from 1957 through to 1964 were some of the finest cars ever made. And I mean by ANYBODY not just Mopar. Hate the toilet seat? Not me, it's one of my favourite features
Hi Ray, Happy to read you enjoy this "Bankers Hot Rod" :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou
Wow...just wow! It doesn't get any better than this Lou. As a Chrysler guy, I'm certain you appreciate this is a work of automotive sculpture. Virgil Exner at his best...before he went completely over the top. Astonishing wheels and obviously well over $2 Million worth of 300 F's of in that room. And the racing engine sound under acceleration...that'll be $10.00 in gas well spent!
Here in Australia we can only drool...
Hi Mike, Happy to read "Wow...just wow! It doesn't get any better than this Lou" :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou
Loved the car and especially the interior. Thanks for the shots of the electroluminescent dash. They called it the AstraDome. This month's Collectible Automobile magazine has an article on the Chrysler 300 C, D and E if people want to see more of these letter cars. They're truly in a class all their own.
Hi Jonathan NC, Happy to read the details you enjoy. Thanks for the tip on the magazine. Did you see this video? Lou th-cam.com/video/3NNzTyepZGI/w-d-xo.html
I've been fortunate to drive and ride in several of these, though no converts. I know you tried your best to properly showcase the dash and instrument cluster, but the electro luminescent cluster looks way better in person. I used to call it a "spaceman speedometer" because the cluster reminded me of an astronaut's helmet visor.
Awesome. It's a perfect example and randy drives her. How could anyone not drive something so incredible. Hat's off Lou
Hi FUBAR Model Yard, High praise :-) Lou
That has to be one of the nicest convertibles ever built anywhere by anyone ! The colors ect are Perfect ! Beautiful Hot Rod !
High praise :-)
What a beautiful example of mid century styling and that perfect paint job in black is just stunning!!
Thanks Gary for making sure this car will be "wowing" the crowds at auto shows for years to come! Much success to you and thanks Lou for finding this one!😉
P.S. (really enjoyed seeing some other amazing Chrysler Corp. vehicles in the background!😎)
Hi George S, High praise for the looks of this car :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you. You're welcome. Stay tuned, I videoed everyone in the back ground :-) Lou
awesome lou, been off line moving this week, finally got re-connected and wow! what a beauty to see, love to have this mean machine! thanx lou
Hi Mouse, Hope you had a successful move. Glad you're back and happy to receive a "wow" from you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Truly a jewel of a car.
Hi John, Happy to share this "jewel" with you :-) Lou
Kudos to the individual who painted this car. Black is totally unforgiving...the slightest blemish
will grab your attention almost immediately. The finish on this car is flawless...looks like black
glass. Love that instrument cluster...appeared on Chryslers for several years. What a GREAT car!
Hi Strange Daze, High praise for this paint work :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou
Spectacular! I was always a GM guy for the most part, but in '60, if I was well-off, I would've wanted one of these. I remember going to car shows in the '70's and seeing one of these. Although I loved the '30'-40's cars, I was mesmerized by the dash in this car. I hear the hit song of that year "Telstar" playing in my mind! :)
Hi Joseph, High praise :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I own 4 different 300 models.
If won the lottery I'd own wvery year of production.
This car would be the first one I'd hunt down.
By far one of the sexiest cars chrysler ever made
Hi Hal 1000, Happy to read you own 4 300 Models. Four times the FUN! Lou
Gorgeous car wonderful trim and detail. Great video as usual. Thanks
Hi Will, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this "Gorgeous car" :-) You're welcome, Lou
After seeing this car i can only think of today's cars as transportation, thanks guys for this spectacular showing. . . :>/
Hi Dr Candor, I can understand why you'd say that. My pleasure sharing this car. You're welcome, Lou
What a car. I am a Corvette owner through MD through, but I want a 1960 300F. Thanks Lou for another spectacular American car from a time when our country wasn't upside down like today. I was 4 years old when this car was new.
Hi George, Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you. You're welcome, Lou
WOW! WOW! WOW! That is one hell of a car!! It looks great and sounds spectacular! Thanks, Lou! You put on a fantastic video!
Hi JON, High praise :-) You're welcome, Lou
Now that’s some real transportation 🦋
:-)
Chrysler when it was great, in the 60's! Starting in '73 they went down hill in quality and never recovered, even today. The parking chuck was hysterical.
Hi Pat, Happy to read you enjoy this styling :-) Lou
Close as it gets to a factory made Batmobile. Cool car.
Hi Freedomquest08, Big fins and the right color :-) Lou th-cam.com/video/eRmPk_ITrBs/w-d-xo.html
Very unique Chrysler F 300 it looks so space age then and still does now 👍
Hi Daniel, Thank you for sharing :-) Lou
Yes yes yes ☺️
A high quality vehicle 👍
Hi Gary, Happy to read you appreciate this "high quality vehicle" :-) Lou
When you see fine chrome, power, and fins you got to go Chrysler. The 1960 Chrysler 300F convertible is rhe road power and luxury bomb! ( If I were millionaire, I would buy it.) Thanks for the video.
Hi Juan, Happy to read you enjoy this "luxury bomb!" :-) You're welcome, Lou
I miss a time when Americans & their cars had so much class & distinction. Thanks for bringing this bankers hot rod to us.
Hi Richard, Happy to share this "Bankers Hot Rod" with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
That 413 is something!!! Love it!
Hi Kelly, Happy to read you "Love it!" :-) Lou
I fell out of my chair! Just breathtaking creamy black. So smitten with 60’s - 70’s MOPAR. Just add fins and a bad a$$ Mighty mighty 413CR! Good GRAVY brother!! On the FLOOR!
High praise :-)
@@loucostabile …and there are a few things in life that can actually choke me up.
This car was one of those things..
whew
The 1960 Chrysler 300-F is Exner's ultimate futuristic high performance sports luxury racing touring machine. My vote for the best ever C-300 Letter series car. I love everything about it! Exner excellence!
Hi Dejael, Winner of the Letter series...NICE! Lou
Magic. It looks like the model Batman would use if he was going on a date!!!
Hi Phil, I can see why you'd say this looks like Batman's date car, Lou
Last of fin cars love how the black and chrome pop and all the cool stuff the car was way ahead of its time what a fun cruiser or hot rod best of both
Hi Larry, I agree, the black and chrome pop :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I remember the 300 C back in the day . Beautiful car !!!!!! Love these vintage cars....... But I am a 1950's GM car guy
Hi Wayne, Happy to read you enjoy the 300C. Good news! Stay tuned, as I'm going to be sharing two of them in the future :-) Lou
Thanks again Lou. That dash, that engine, unbelievable! How do you find these? What ever you are doing, keep it up!
Hi Mike Stan, Happy to read the details you enjoy with this car :-) My pleasure sharing with you. You're welcome, Lou

Its like the love-child of an Imperial and the Batmobile! Another great video, Thanks Lou!
Hi Paul, "Its like the love-child of an Imperial and the Batmobile!" NICE! You're welcome, Lou
My folks used to call those huge fins on the back of all those 59/60 cars like the Chrysler products and Cadillacs
"Belch Fire's" when I was a kid...
Nice !
Most definitely one of the most magnificent beautifully designed cars in the history of cars everything on that car is perfect. Looking forward to you spending some time for the rest of those beauties in that in the background of that car Lou 😏
Hi Terry M, High praise! Stay tuned, they're all going to be on the Channel :-) Lou
now that's a beauty right there
Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-)
Randy is the king of Chrysler letter cars. I don't know what he did to accumulate the cash to buy and restore his cars to concourse level. This is my favorite car of his collection. I think the.1960 Chrysler 300 F is the apex of the letter cars. I love the boomerang tail lights, the full length console, and the four bucket seats. That it is a convertible is the icing on the cake.
Lou I was pleasantly surprised that you let Randy and his restorer tell his car story. Randy is an extrovert who knows his cars backwards so he took control and didn't allow you to get off on a Lou tangent.
Hi Bill, "Randy is an extrovert who knows his cars backwards so he took control and didn't allow you to get off on a Lou tangent."....you mean like your Bill tangent right now :-) Stay well, Lou
Truly a work of art
High praise :-)
Another beautiful car I've never seen before. Just wow. I hate to ask Lou but an 4k camera with 4k youtube uploads or at least 1440p would really bring these cars to life. Either way I really appreciate the time to record these vehicles and upload them for people to see.
Hi Austen, Happy to share this car with you. I like the way you think, and hoping a new camera is in my future soon, Lou
No way this car is a ten! It's a twelve! 😍😍😍😍😍! Thanks Lou!
NICE! You're welcome motorTranz :-)
It's staggeringly gorgeous.
High praise :-)
Goodday Lou,
Hooe you are well.
I have not forgotten you, I have been watching your video's just cutting back on the comments.
Didn't work for me so back to making comments again.
The F BOMB, certainly is.
That interior is just pure class & a masterpiece that don't make it like that anymore.
It would be awesome to watch a Chrysler like this going down the production line.
Black and Chrome always a classy look.
Hats off to Randy for a beautiful 300F.
Your number 1 Fan in Australia
Louis Kats from Melbourne Australia ☺ 👍 ❤
Godday Louis, No worries if you have no comments, however glad to see all is well. My pleasure sharing the F Bomb "masterpiece" with you :-) Thank you for being my # 1 Fan in Australia, Lou
There are many cars, most from the 1960s, that I have wanted over the years. But of all of them that exact '60 300 F convertible is the top of my list of 4 wheeled awesome.
Am obnoxiously beautiful automobile
Hi Steven, High praise :-) Hope you're behind the wheel of the right one for you soon, Lou
I work for Enterprise Holdings, the parent company of a leasing division as well as the legendary car renters. They claim a global fleet of more than 1.6 million vehicles. I have a Pacifica and two Malibu sedans for my company cars. But my personal car is a Chrysler, not a 300F, but a 2000 Concorde LXi, that runs perfectly and is all battered up so I don't have to about body damage. That brings me to this Lou Costabile dude. You know him ? I've watched so many of his videos but I'd like to know what car or cars he owns.
I like the look of the crossram engine
Very unique.
A classic piece of automobile, charming shaded quad lamps 1:50 and elegant "TH-cam" tail lights 3:13. HaHa 😆 Lou, I hope you don't mind.
Hi boson, Happy to read the details you enjoy :-) Lou
Stunning car Lou! Thanks for showing! Tiger.
Hi Tiger, Happy to read you enjoy this "Stunning" car :-) You're welcome, Lou
The cross ram just made me shake my head. I wanna go back and do it all over, but I can’t go back I know. I miss the seventies. 😞

Hi Dino, Happy to receive a "Wow" from you :-) Lou
So beautiful .....and good call to the original buyer to ask for power windows!!!!
I hope the current owner has considered a front disc brake upgrade.
Hi 67marlins, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Lou
@Lou Costabile I built a 1960 DeSoto model once, which as you know is basically the exact same body as this Chrysler. A 2-door Adventurer coupe.
Originally I built it in 1978 when I was 10 years old, then of course about 1992 was compelled to 'restore' my earlier years' amateur work and transform it into a perfect model........except I got creative, and built the world's only '60 DeSoto Desperado ......a DeSoto version of a Ranchero.
I think I’m in love with this car!! 😍😍
Hi JeffFrmJoisey, I now pronounce you Man & Car.....you may take the keys :-) Lou
Thanks Lou. I love the Astrodome cars!
Happy to read you "love the Astrodome cars!" ":-) You're welcome discerningmind
Whoa baby, that car's got style !! 👍👍
Nice :-)
1960 Chrysler 300-F Convertible in Formal Black (production of 248 units; 964 units produced for the 1960 300-F Coupe). Base price of this 300-F convertible was $5841...about $400 dollars higher than a 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible...even more expensive than a 1960 Imperial Crown Convertible. First year for Unibody construction and Ram-Tuned Induction Manifold option. No more than 10 of the 1960 300-F had the rare French Pont-A-Mousson 4-Speed gearbox transmission. Air Conditioning was $510. The 1960 300-F Coupe won the Flying Mile Competition at Daytona at nearly 145 mph (a phenomenal speed at that time considering poor aerodynamics and limited gear transmissions).
Another attempt by a rival American make to price their vehicle higher than Cadillac, which dominated this price class. FoMoCo had the more long term successful marketing idea of developing a unique upmarket car (4-Seat Thunderbird)...rather than adding additional trim/drivetrain options to an existing car (Chrysler letter series).
Hi SpockvsMcCoy Kirk, Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautiful car. Incredible dash board.
Hi specs, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car, and like the "incredible dash board" :-) Lou

Same basic dash as my late 62 Newport. The coolest dash ever made....Especially the dome light when lit up...If I had the resources, I would definitely have one of these in my stable...I'll have to "settle" for my 64 LeBaron for now... May have to call Mike-I need some things sorted out on my car...
