I'd say Galway has the best pints of stout in the world hands down. Have been in multiple bars in Galway, never a bad pint of stout. The epicentre for Guinness. Looking forward to a few days down in the summer!

Skeff did right to make sure they had the right person pulling it. From experience its very inconsistent, I've had two very different pints in the space of an hour.
Good video. Including the one's you couldn't get to, you were working off a very good list of the finest pints in my home town. O'Connell's has been my first stop in Galway on the way back from America, Australia and a few other places over the years. Well worth a look when you do come back.

Garavans has a truely exceptional pint and at €4.30 for the middle of shop street it's insane value. The crane a close second and then taffees. But garavans pub has a stout like I have never tasted before. Beautiful and actually aromatic when u get half way down the pint and the nose enters the glass while supping.
€5 in Aussie $ is around $8 atm, most places I get a pint of Guinness from are charging $10-12 Aussie or €7.60 so those prices in Gallway seem very reasonable, of course I take into account the cost of shipping it here, nothing will stop me drinking me Guinness, cheers mate

Guru bud you have to get up to Howth at some stage, solid 7 pubs up there. Good craic on the weekends would be worth the trip. Bloody Stream, Harbour Bar, O Connells, Waterside, Top House, Abbey Tavern and The Summit inn all within walking distance, Harbour Bar is number 1 for me but would be good to see what you think. Big fan of the vids keep it up fella.

Just visited Ireland for the first time & Galway was FANTASTIC. Tigh Neachtain's was wonderful, & honestly, O'Connell's felt like such a fake spot, I don't know why any locals would love it, other than being young. Hole in the Wall was cool, as was Murphy's & King's Head, although I bet they get some haters from being touristy. Great video brother
West coast, from Donegal to Kerry. The west coast of Ireland does the best creamiest pints in the country. Slower pace of life and the Guinness is looked after and poured with care.
Oconnors salthill and monroes tavern you should review. Prob best pints of guinness in galway and i worked for guinness. You were right about taffs and naughtins
O'Connell's?! My heart aches. I hope it's just undergoing a renovation - fingers tightly crossed! In addition to O'Connell's, this Californian, across two visits to Galway, has also had fine pints in Freeney's and (if recollection serves) The King's Head.
A real shame O'connells was closed...had a few in there last year, the pints were a religous experience. Going back next need to give taaffes a go... 9.1 is serious
Hi there fellow stout warrior! You must come to yorkshire and try samuel smiths extra stout! When its on form its out of this world, its organic strong full of roasty malty liquoriceness! and creamier than a butter factory!
I love the city, but the Guinness is the worst in Ireland I come across so far, simply because so many people are Beamish and Murphy’s drinkers. Do any Cork City lads have any recommendations for where it’s best. I tried Henchy’s, and it ok, not great. Ashburton up in Montenotte the same. Charlie’s didn’t even have Guinness when I asked, literal first place in Ireland I’ve ever come across that said they didn’t do it! You’d get Guinness in a loyalist bar in east Belfast ffs!
You should give each pint 2 scores. The first is what you’re doing right now. The second score is the pint score. You divide your first score, which is what you do anyway and is obviously your rating, by the price of the pint. If you rate the pint high and the cost of the pint is low it will obviously give you a higher score than a pint that you maybe rate the same but the price is higher which gives you a lower score. Eg you rate the pint 8 and the cost of the pint is €5 8/5=1.6 You rate a pint 8 again but costs €6.50 gives the lower score of. 8/6.50=1.23. Obviously a very good pint would be let down by a high price. Just a thought.
Fun thing was you never went to possible the best places to have a pint. The Dew Drop, Freeneys, Garveys and the King Pin "O'Connells". Also outside Galway you have likes Oranmore, Athenry MoyCullen which have pubs who serverve even better pints

i think when you rate a pint you should divide that score by the price to find the true pint value

Coili is a great pub for trad and you even get legend Emma O'Sullivan dancing in there. Some of the best craic in Galway. Fair auld pint, too!

Galway is brilliant. We come over for the 1/2 Marathon then stay out all day on Quay Street. Superb place to visit and get smashed.

Was just in Galway (10/14) and downed a few at Darcy's and Taaffe's.
