Thank goodness the binocular tether came already installed on mine. But I still needed this video to figure out the rest. The binocular tether's quick release mechanism should be available on the neck harness as well, so we can quickly switch between either the Neck or Harness system. Currently it forces you to use either Neck or shoulder harness, as undoing and re-doing the binocular strap regularly is just unrealistic.

I have both attached even though he says not to do so in this video. I use the neck strap way more often, so the solution for me is to (after setting up as shown in this video) detach the quick release buckles from the bottom straps of the harness and binocular tether straps, fold it up very neatly and insert into the back zipper pocket of the pouch (just below where the harness is still strapped into the pouch).
It fits in nicely and won't go anywhere until you take it out for a full harness set-up. The binoculars will have those two additional dangling harness tether straps but they don't really get in the way. I use the pouch all the time for safe storage so this is the best set-up for me, and the full harness is available anytime with minimal hassle.

Put my harness in the drawer. Rigged up something better with some parachord, plenty comfortable and makes it easy to move around to my lower back on one side or the other and out of my way. Still working on stretching the inside of the Glasspak enough to make it easy to take the binos out. It doesn't need to be tight, since it's no going anywhere as long as the cover is down and hooked.

Just unboxed my 10x42 Vortex Diamnond back binoculars and I must admit it's an awesome piece !
However I noticed if you want to swap (quickly or not) between using the glasspak harness and the comfort neckstrap you have to undo, what in the video at 2:12 is reffered to as "the neck strap attachment" in order to attach the comfort neckstrap itself as it doesn't come with the male part of the 16mm parachute clip.
Potential improvement opportunity I reckon to add two male16mm parachute clip parts to the Comfort Neckstrap, making it more user friendly to swap (quickly and hassle free) between both the glasspak harness and the comfort neckstrap.

Please stop putting that gawdy logo patch on the Glasspak. Lots of customers, me including, dislike it very much. I cut mine off and re-sewed the attachment strap back on by itself. Was lots of trouble. Take a look at 5.11's logo, a discrete, stitched-in lettering in the same color as the product fabric. It is seen without trouble, and even though people see it and know what it is, it makes them curious because it looks a bit "stealth," and so then they ask about it. Their asking about it leads to conversation about the product. But with the Glasspak, people say instead, "I wonder why they put that white patch on there. I guess you could ink it up." Just sayin'.
