Come to Australia. Our government is about to pass a law that makes social media unavailable for under 16's. They're going to make the adults enter their ID to access social media, kicking the under 16's off.
My gf was getting Morpheus treatment done at a celebrity plastic surgeon’s office in Bev Hills. She mentioned to the nurse that she would love to get a facelift . The nurse’s face was mildly horrified and the first thing she mentioned was that it messes up the lymphatic system.
I honestly cannot recognize her and still have trouble believing its her. One of my favourite actresses, she had a unique strength to her beauty, not overly feminised. Yes creepy, overly infantalised now. I just wanted to cry...Whhhyyy !!
I live in Los Angeles, so I see people both photographed (after being professionally made-up) and in-person. The differences are stark. Please don't compare your real life face to what you see from one or two angles in professional, edited photographs. Take care of your skin, protect it from the sun, and enjoy your smile lines. Also, your clothes are to fit you, not the other way around.
For real, I’m a tailor and people come in with clothes they bought online and tell me to make it look like the model, you gotta play to your strengths not beat yourself down to look like everyone else
I saw quite a few profiles of women in their 50s and 60s that got a face-lift and they posted photos on their own profiles that weren't professionally done like on the surgeon's page and wow you can see the reality there, they look improved but nowhere near 10-20 years younger as they would like to believe, it's very obvious how their face is different from a regular 40+ year old face, it still looks older but just good for over 50/60 age, that's all. That can be achieved, or something similar to it with somewhat healthier diet, hydration and natural looking makeup and basic skincare.
You can look at the celebrities on Getty images. These facelifts are not just make up. They are not just Photoshop. They actually will be younger. And I think when we continue to deny that we just just gaslight people.
It’s nice that you feel that way, your life must be going very well. I can’t wait to get off this godforsaken planet and return to my true home in the spirit world and be with my departed loved ones.
@chacha59 Yup! Aging as in living longer is a privilege, but aging as the deterioration of our bodies and face is the PRICE we pay for that privilege. Don't conflate both.
My wonderful and beautiful friend died of an aggressive cancer at age 39, she never got the opportunity to age and spent her last few months in misery. It really puts things in perspective. I’m sure she would have treasured getting to 50
II agree, I feel like a facelift is something someone who's past 50 would do. 40's is too early for this. Christina and Kylie might look nice now, but we don't know how it'll look later. Celebrities can afford to spend constantly to fix it, but regular people will be stuck with the consequences and botched work.
Dr. Gary Linkov predicted Madonna had her first facelift in her 30s. He warned that the younger you have it, the more you will have it again. Madonna had work done repeatedly. I am curious if a reason for this is how young she had it done in the first place.
Christina had to have it early because she had extreme amounts of filler in her cheeks, under-eyes and jaw which stretches out the skin for years (also known as "pillow face")
@@narrgamedesigner2747 Yeah personally I would not risk it because it's messing with your health unnecessarily and as you said aging is unavoidable. People should be focused on adopting healthy habits to not lose mobility early.
My goal is a full face sagg. Folds of neck and face skin dragging behind me while i walk my tiny dogs. Paparazzi flashing their camera lights, pedestrians tripping over my saggy folds in the chaos of my public appearance. Ill write a memoir... Title it If These Folds Could Talk
@@jamietingey7498 I love it!! You rock those folds girl! I say we all earned our sags and wrinkles when they come around! They show our wisdom! I’ll wear mine with confidence. ❤❤
I'm 33 and I *want* to look 33. I find the most appealing people to be those that look their age and make no effort to look "younger." I also find that cosmetic surgery *never* makes people look younger, it just makes them look different, and not always for the better. I do understand people feeling like they "have to have" cosmetic surgery to look younger, but the sooner we ignore celeb/influencer trends, and normalise the ageing process, the better!!
I completely agree. Outside of the surgeon's professionally done make up and photo session, people that had work done in regular light and regular photos look like they had work done and not in a good way, sure it looks a bit more tight but it's obvious that they're still their own age or at most a few years younger which can be achieved in non surgical ways... If that's all they were going for, fine but usually they would like it to be seen as if they are suddenly 10-20 years younger, it's not possible and again, in regular light, in person and in regular photos it doesn't look it.
@@Xenobat I liked your comment so much that I’ve saved it as a reminder for those times I start thinking differently about myself. I hate when the focus is so much on looks.
If I notice plastic surgery/botox/filler, those people automatically look „older“ to me in a way. Because my brain makes the connection: plastic surgery/botox/filler -> person want‘s to look younger, therefore they must be older -> automatically the person looks older to me. Or I try to find out what‘s „wrong“ with their face and can‘t stop staring.
I live and work in and upper class area where its common to see middle aged women looking like they are in their 20s........until you see them makeup free running errands early in the morning after they have dropped off the kids. They don't look old but there is something uncanny and unnatural about the skin and features that gives away their true age. There is a natural balance and symmetry that is missing once you start cutting and inflating the face.
And the shape and size of the head is slightly bigger as we age, can't hide that, and the look in the person's eye is a giveaway too, eyes speak of experience, you can't hide that either. I've seen some regular photos of the similar examples you mentioned, where their family or friend tagged them but you can tell its not one of their own carefully curated photos, and it just shows the reality and that they are still their own age, just a bit tighter...and I agree, it's also uncanny but people today seem to be completely obsessed with not aging that they're willing to put up with all of that...
@AA-iy4gm You can also tell in how they move. Even though they work out to stay slim, there is a certain bounce and spring in the step that missing. It's kind of like how you can tell if a full grown dog is still fresh out of his puppy years vs one that is still young but a few years older.
Ok, different perspective. I’m 79 and have never had any work done and I look like it. Two years ago I lost 24 lbs, intermittent fasting not for weight loss just health, I’m trimmer but my face is more wrinkled. Then I had cataract surgery, love the clearer vision and not wearing glasses, but I can now see my wrinkles more clearly. 😮 I’m very short, take good care of your bones, but try to dress well. The up side is , I’m here and happy and blessed in many ways. Being that obsessed with the external seems like a waste of energy. Love God, love life, be kind and accepting of yourself.
Agreed. There's so much more to life than trying to look 20 forbloodyever! Watch a loved one be ravaged by an illness, lose a loved one too soon- it will change what you value in life. When I look in the mirror I see traces of my relatives, when I look in my children's faces I see my face in theirs. I'm happy to be loved by the Lord, to have my husband and my children. Everything else is just gravy 😊 even wrinkles.
And that take in life alone, makes you 1000x more beautiful than any surgical procedure ever could. Kudos, ma’am. I really wish my generation could learn more from this. I’m 28, and I’ve been thinking about a nose job or sculpting since I was 21. Do I need it? I don’t, I just felt always pressed to do whatever it took to look “my absolute best”. I don’t want it anymore, I’ve embraced my nose and actually like it now, but the sole fact that I started wanting to do something to it at 16 and seriously contemplating options at 21, speaks volumes about what social media and entertainment are doing to younger generations.
I'm 42 and have spent my entire adult life OBSESSED with how I look. I always thought, "I can't wait to get older and appearance doesn't matter". Then 3 yrs ago I became close friends with an 83 yr old. She is a typical older woman with no work done. I was so disheartened to realise that she is herself obsessed by other women's appearance and how she wishes she had work done when she was younger 😩. She also had cataract surgery 6 months ago and was truly shocked by her wrinkled face. It's all she spoke about for weeks after. Does our obsession with appearance ever end 😭
@@piperuk5366 that is so freaking sad…I guess it’s mostly because we typically feel younger on the inside than we look on the outside as we age. Turn it around for yourself! EVERYONE ages (if they live long enough); and ultimately, we are not our bodies, but who we are on the inside.
@@piperuk5366it’s the sign of a privileged life to be so self- and aesthetic-obsessed, if I can be brutally honest. For those who have faced any sort of actual hardship, they’ve generally seen how little weight things like wrinkles *should* have on their experience of their life even if they have access to a lot of money. Even just having loved ones who face actual battles in life be they developmental disabilities or health struggles dissuade most women from seeing themselves as skin deep well before the age of 80 something tbh. That is my experience. Not all women of course will have a close relationship w someone, or they themselves at some point, face a financial or physical hardship giving them a deeper and wider perspective in life. And when you don’t…those wrinkles seem to carry weight. Aesthetics seem very important bc that’s what you have to focus on - you have the extra time and energy. And we will ALWAYS focus on something. ALWAYS. If something doesn’t find us, we will find something.
My cousin just had a facelift at 65 and she looks at least 20 years younger..but her surgeon told her years ago (she was getting information on having a lift) not to use any fillers, botox or touch her face with any procedures so that she could have optimal results..which she has now and looks amazing.
@@DoesntMatter-p8z And sun screen! The cheapest most effective non surgical results are just drinking water and wearing UV protection. But those are tiny things that add up over years of good habits. People want noticeable results in short periods of time :(
@@clueless_cutie i think your thinking is problematic as well. you are still hyper focused on looks but just disagreeing about the best way to achieve the best looks. drinking water and wearing sunscreen are important for your health. not so you can shave 20 years off your appearance getting a facelift as a 70 year old.
OK let's stop lying. The 18 year old Pic doesn't look like the recent one lol. She doesn't look like a teen and that's OK. Just bc someone doesn't look like a teen doesnt mean they can't look good
I don't think they look young, young people have "baby fat" and look childish. So they still look in their 30s-40s, however they have eliminated people's main complain on aging women -- wrinkles and sag. Unlike men who get to be silver foxes, women are only praised after a certain age if they eliminate those two "issues" of aging. I think this is the appeal -- she's grown, but no longer looks like she's aging.

@@AlteredAmygdala Oh, sweety, I’m so very sorry!! Nobody should have to lose a sibling so young. 😢 I hope you have lots of special memories to hold onto and cherish. Her spirit will always be with you. ❤❤
No SECRET ....she actually waited until she aged to have work done. She is the same age as i am. I haven't had work done but I definitely don't look 44 in Dec. These procedures were created for aged skin....not 22 year old skin 😳.
After seeing a good number of those 60+ procedures, I'm willing to bet that it looks that "good" on a well planned out photo but not in real life, and apparently some people are OK with that lol
My dad's a plastic surgeon and, upon hearing about this trend, said the surgeons performing these surgeries on such young people, especially those in their 20s & 30s, are "crooks". He refuses to perform the surgery on his young patients and always strongly advises against it because its unnecessary and definitely not worth it.
This! This stuff for the outside, lots of water, fruit/veg and good quality sleep for the inside. Lack of sleep, alcohol, and stress will age you like crazy even with a good skincare regime. Combine them both and you'll age like a fine wine.
As a tattoo artist: Please don't get your scars tattooed with skin-shade ink. You do not know how that pigment will age (it could become more yellowish as the white pigments become more porous with time) and if there's no contrast between the ink and your skin colour it is impossible to get lasered. Please please please don't do this!
I'm still booking my appointment. There is no other solution for white scars. Maybe being a tattoo artist is different than being a camouflage tattoo specialist
Not Kylie Jenner saying the beauty standard is unreachable and regrets getting work done and then gets a face lift😆 I can’t. Also I can’t stand the “natural” results that they always say when it’s actually the opposite. There’s nothing “natural” about the results and instead when we do age naturally we are shown how to fix it.
i think one of the doctors said it the best, so many of these celebrities and influencers get surgeries that are for the NOW. because they are constantly in the spotlight. so many of them don’t bother to think about what they will look like when they’re older.
To be fair, many are obsolete within a decade...its rare for people to actually uphold their status for decades so it might be a gamble they find to be worth taking.
it SHOULD be this expensive to really hammer into people's heads how invasive this surgery is! 15K makes it seem like "a year of filler treatment but permanent hihihi"
You know who I think suffers the most from this..? The kids from these women! Imagine looking at your mother, especially if you are a girl, and NOT seeing yourself in her AT ALL!! So sad and when you see old pictures of your mother BEFORE surgery and see that all the same face features that you and mom shared has been REMOVED will just destroy your confidence and your self image will be ruined forever…😢
My parents acted for my whole life like they were forever 30. Putting a lot of effort into their looks, dye the grey away, kept up with fashion trends, lots of skin care, going to the clubs and having a whole attitude like a young adult. You know, I can't blame people for living their life, but when you don't actually see your parents age, it's a brutal gut punch to suddenly realize that they are much older than they look like. You were not prepared for the fact their days are numbered. It's not okay, honestly. Please, everyone, embrace age and don't act like you are never going to die.
Not to mention the impact of kids never seeing facial expressions on their botoxed mother. Imagine never seeing the variation of emotions on your parent while you are developing
Nothing. Love it. Being 50 is amazing. And when you live a good live, good food, laughter, keep playing and doing things you like you dont age that much.
@@withlovetumi if you don’t age… then you are dead. It is a privilege/blessing to live to see all stages of life and see yourself change. I find it beautiful. Some people don’t have the genes to age gracefully so I get having some procedures to a certain extent. Some people are too insecure, damaging themselves and becoming unrecognizable🤦🏽♀️
As an artist, i dont think people realize how unique and beautiful they are. Wrinkles are not a bad thing. Have u ever seen a older disney movie, like the 2d animated ones? Wrinkles and unique proportions give people character and make them recongnizable. When i see someone, and i want to draw them, its not usually because they are what people define 'beautiful' as. Its because they are unique and something about them is different, like the silhouette of their nose of the proportions between their facial features.
My beautiful, warm, loving Aunt Janet was like a mother to me growing up and then like a grandmother to my baby daughter when I got pregnant as a teen and needed help. In my 20's she underwent a facelift and the whole procedure changed her completely to a distant, cold, angry woman who suddenly hated me and my sister. Wanted nothing to do with us. The procedure also led to her developing a dependence on pain killers. She wasn't satisfied with her results either which felt like it was all for nothing. I haven't seen my aunt since my dad's memorial service in 2020. She suffered a stroke and needed 24/7 assistance for 6 months and still wouldn't let me come and help care for her. It's like the whole thing changed her brain and erased 30 years of love and a special bond. I miss my Aunt Janet and I hope I can reconnect with her before she dies. She is almost 70. 😊
That sounds like something went catastrophically wrong, like oxygen deprivation causing brain damage causing a drastic personality change or something equally devastating. Depending on the severity of the harm caused through addiction, that could be a culprit. It's also possible it's extreme envy, that she was fine with the younger people while she thought she could get her youth back, but then resented you guys when it proved to be impossible. Whatever the cause, I'm sorry for your loss. 💔
that sounds like a complication but i've seen many cases of people not being happy with their results. the truth is if you are obsessed enough with how you look to undergo surgery about it in a lot of cases the surgery is not actually going to fix the problem.
Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!! That’s heartbreaking! 😢 I think it may have been the pain killers. I knew a guy once who was a good man and changed into a hateful person who got rid of everyone in his life after having extreme back pain, which I’m guessing resulted in him getting addicted to pain killers (I don’t know for sure). Opioids are evil IMO. :(
Once you get a facelift, the material you have to work with later on is gone….if you start early (40s), you’re probably the type who will want another one and another one. Save it for post 50 and get it once as a rejuvenation and move on with your life.
That’s the advice I got when I got a second opinion, I was going to get one at 46, but I don’t have a lot of sagging, I’m waiting until my 50’s and just having one surgery, I had upper eyelid surgery and it was amazing, I was awake I did it under local, rather than general
@@emmafaganI’d like to get my upper eyelids done. I’m in my 50’s and my droopy eyelids are asymmetrical to the extent when I injured my head, the hospital worried I’d had a stroke as one side droops almost over my eye.
My plastic surgeon said you can only have 3 facelifts in your life. A facelift only lasts for 10 years, so those who are doing this in their 20’s will run out of options later in life.

Being in my 30's I've learned to accept myself for the way I look, even my flaws. Even if I wanted a surgery or filler (which I don't) my luck I'd end up botched and unable to fix it because I'm poor lol. From 18 into my 20's I've gotten so many horribly botched tattoos and 30+ year old me is too poor to fix/ remove them. Choose your artists and surgeons wisely, do not settle on what is affordable because affordable is never good quality. 👍

The Netflix movie Uglies is part one of a book series where people in a post-apocalyptic world are forced to undergo extreme beautification surgery when they turn 16… the second book is called Pretties
It’s so wild! Like yeah, it’s dystopian and all, but is it really that far off reality? I mean, kids are growing up being constantly told what’s wrong with them and their appearances and being sold this idea of how much happier they’ll be after they look a certain way… It’s certainly not as overt as it’s made for the story, but in a way, kids are growing up looking forward to getting this and that done and thinking that nose job or that jaw shaving will be their happily ever after 💀
Imagine hating yourself so much that you not only change yourself completely, irreversible from the outside but also from the inside. How sad...why are we doing this with our bodys that are actually perfect designed at birth and our unique true self....
Who defines what agent gracefully is? Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that someone else can’t age gracefully and enjoy being older while having a youthful appearance. It’s not a one-size-fits-all term. All term.
@@pmg-1 Nothing "wrong" per se. But neither is getting maintenance wrong. You renovate your house, restore your furniture, tune up your car. What's wrong with doing the same with your face? Conversely, there's nothing wrong with leaving the scratches on your furniture, the cracks in your walls, etc. It's a matter of choice. Some of us don't like to see the decay happening to our faces, that's all.
The biggest problem is our society's obsession with looking extremely youthful no matter how old you are.....especially for women. The aging woman is somewhat considered easily discarded, by Hollywood, shallow husbands/ boyfriends/ men...... it's just sad. At 40, I am noticing everything that is starting to sag, neck, arms, legs, stomach, butt...boobs...everything, and I feel inadequate compared to what Hollywood/ public social media/ society in general makes me think is the norm or acceptable/ unacceptable.
Oh my god. Thank you for seeing it. Everyone on social media seems to be in denial. “It’s ozempic, it’s skincare, it’s baby’s blood”. I don’t see how plastic surgery on celebrities isn’t OBVIOUS to the public. They have the money to see the world’s BEST surgeons and the surgery has gotten better through the years. It drives me wild that people can’t see it.
I actually disagree with your beginning statement. I don't think Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Simpson or Christina look younger. I think they look older than they did before surgery. Especially Kate Beckinsale and Jessica. No, I don't think they look old by any means, or even their age- but I still think they look older.
People are so grotesquely vain, it's vile. Yet, these same people will tell disabled/disfigured/people in an accident that thry should love who they are. Sickos!
I came right to the comments after seeing that image and yours was the first one. Wtf? Not cute. The more surgery people get, the more freakish they look.
Facelifts are for older people; something you get when you ACTUALLY have lax, sagging skin! It was not intended for the young, therefore the results on the young may not be optimal. Also, the best surgeon/technique will keep you looking like yourself. I think fillers are more problematic, they can migrate and cause scarring that will compromise the results of a facelift should you want one later.
Lael's videos are literally like important public information services 🙌. Sooo refreshing to see a younger person, with a lovely face (I'm envious of her amazing jawline!!) embrace the importance of loving our natural characteristics and being individual. And she presents it all in such a wonderful way ❤ Thank you Lael!
I also think it's beautiful if we actually look back in our family line, we can see parts of our relatives before us within our own appearance ❤ & Imo, that's beyond beautiful
And interesting that you say that, because she's talked about considering jaw/chin reduction surgeries before! We will never appreciate our own features as much as other people and it goes to show we are often our own worst critics and have a lot of distortion in our self image. I used to hate my nose but a lot of people love it, including my family - it reminds them of my late grandfather and I'm now so grateful I never changed it ❤️
I just have to correct one thing. I am a retired RN who worked with a plastic surgeon. The facelift resets the clock. Say you get a facelift at around 50, which is an ideal time for most, because you still have enough collagen in your skin to maintain the results well. You turn back the clock to looking 35. From there, the next year you look 36, then 37, and on. You permanently reset the clock until your 80s when you have very little collagen left. Now, if you use retinoids and sunscreen religiously after the facelift, you will help preserve more collagen.
I totally agree! Some of these women already look scary and uncanny with professional makeup, lighting, and retouching. I can’t imagine how they look in person!
Honestly, the celebs’ facelifts look good! But, for most people, sans an overfill situation, e.g., Kylie Jenner, a facelift in the 20s is not a great idea, early 40s is usually the ideal for a first facelift. There are definitely some good facelift surgeons out there, bet they cost a fortune!
Can I just say that almost every celebrity looks the same???? In my opinion getting a face lift at a young age makes you look older. I once met this lady she had filler and a face lift and she was ONLY 29. She looked at least older than 29.
This makes me feel sorry for these women. It’s sad that they’d rather look in a mirror and not recognize themselves than to love themselves and realize how beautiful they are naturally
I disagree. I think some people get surgery because they’re not happy with their bodies. We all have insecurities. But I think when you’re hot, there’s just something spectacular about getting even hotter. It’s like when you lift weights and you wanna see how big you can get. I am by Western standards considered extremely attractive. I’m tall I’m skinny and I have a beautiful face. I look in the mirror and I honestly am shocked sometimes because I’m so pretty. But that being said, I love the idea of plastic surgery to be able to enhance my beauty even more. I have extremely high self-esteem and I’ll be fine if I don’t get surgery. But I do think if I’m on my deathbed at 90 years old looking back I will think what could’ve been. Had I gotten that surgery. I always been an ugly duckling growing up and been told to just love myself. And then when I stopped being an ugly duckling and realized how much better the world is, like damn let me enjoy it
I think you have the issue backwards - for a lot of middle-aged folks, the distressing feeling is when they look in the mirror and don’t recognize themselves *before* surgery. After a good result, they often report that they finally look more like they feel and feel confident again.
Getting a facelift because you DON'T recognize yourself in the mirror. That old looking decrepit face belongs to someone else. Getting older is all about "loss" whether it's retirement, loss of sight, hearing and mobility, loss of friends, and family thru death and possibly loss of memory. I see nothing wrong with preserving your perception of one's self and look in the mirror and see "you."
I am 60, haven't had any work done on my face, and I recently had a full deep plane neck/face/brow lift, with CO2 Laser, fat transfer & a bit of lip filler, and I can tell you that was crazy intense, I mean it was a LOT. My surgeon said that considering I hadn't had work done, I was prime for a face lift, and it made it much easier for him to do get the best results, he had even featured me in his show. I can tell you exactly what Christina had---- She had all the same things I had done PLUS.... she also had Cheek implants, a nose job, an upper & lower eye lift and I'm not sure about this next one, but probably a lip lift too. Not sure what kind of face peel she had, but she had some kind of peel. Before she had all I mentioned above done, a couple months prior to her big surgery, they dissolved all her face filler, then began the surgery. She went thru a HELL of a LOT
@ how do you know? When was the last time you saw a celebrity in person who had $100,000 facelift? Don’t lie. Literally tell me when you actually saw it instead of just saying it’s scary.
The younger you start the earlier you're going to look like Joan Rivers or Nancy Pelosi. There's a reason a lot of celebrities all start to look like the same Wayland Flowers' puppet Madame. Plus there's all the scar tissue every time which makes every subsequent facelift more difficult and risky.
I've been following a surgeon on YT for years and saw him on Law and Crime the other day. He acts like an expert critiquing other drs, but I just watched an interview Ashley Banfield did with one of the girls he completely botched. I was in tears because she trusted this guy, and he ruined her life. He goes by the name Chip. Please do your research and make sure your doctor hasn't been sued. This dr had a woman pass away too when I googled his name and has many lawsuits ongoing too. It's truly horrific what some people do for money 💔
I can fully understand why Christina Aguilera would want a facelift. I believe her and I are the exact same age. I just recently started noticing aging. Like a whole lot at once. If CA ever felt these emotions, and made an informed decision on her own body, and she loves it… cool! She looks amazing! I support her Any younger than around 40 is insane!
I’m her age as well, and SAME. This year is when I really started noticing the signs of aging…and I don’t think I look “old” (sounds so silly saying it lol), and I’ve been lucky enough to have had pretty good skin my whole life. It can definitely make you feel some type of way, so I’m not judging anyone who made a (hopefully well informed) decision about their body. 😊
Mini facelift can mean many different things. I had a MACS lift, which some term a mini lift, bcz it's less invasive and yields more modest results. But it's a legitimate facelift. I don't look different, but my early jowls are gone. And while I'm blessed to be living longer, seeing my refreshed face makes me feel like I still have plenty of life ahead of me. There's more to facelifts than this video can explain.
37 yo Asian American female here - part of my mindset is definitely passed down culturally, but I've always had a fear of anything elective... any cut puts you at risk for infection/other damage. Personal decision, but I don't think I can commit to any surgery that isn't mandatory for my health/survival. Clean/high quality makeup used minimally, wash your face, get enough sleep, eat well, moisturize and use sunscreen/sun protection!

While I agree that the male gaze/patriarchy certainly helped bring plastic surgery into existence....it's just pure capitalistic greed that has got it where things are, with soooo many different procedures available. I know many men that have spent and continue to spend crazy amounts of money on Botox, filler, hair loss treatments and sculpting injections just to name a few. It's a billion dollar industry like any other and it no longer discriminates, it wants everyone insecure enough to open their wallets.
I’ve always thought of celebrities as guinea pigs of sorts. I know it sounds awful, but they’re the ones doing everything first (fillers, ozempic, etc). I wanted to change my nose shape with Restylane but I’m so glad I decided to wait it out, now I know how HA fillers behave long term and I KNOW for a fact that I won’t be getting fillers ever. If I ever want something done, I’ll rather see what celeb has had it done, see how it all progresses with time and get a real perspective on how these procedures evolve before ever committing. After all, they have the money to do something and touch up and fix whenever it’s not looking too great, I don’t. Oddly enough, doing this has helped me learn to love my natural features and discard the tens of procedure ideas I’ve had in the past like, five years. Now I want to age it out and if something ever bothers me, I’ll go for a surgical approach, but hopefully, I’ll just grow to love my looks as I age. I’m fortunate that I don’t have anything that’s bothering me or harming my self esteem, so definitely now I’ve gone from wanting enhancements to only considering absolutely necessary interventions, which so far, only includes an upper eyelid lift in 15 years or so.
I think we should just NOT MESS WITH OUR FACES omggggg. Or bodies!! We have very clever amazing bodies that have entire systems within them that are keeping us alive and healthy and functional like… let’s not mess with that by putting our bodies under unnecessary stress :/
I had head and neck cancer. After the surgery, I was cancer-free and given high doses of radiation. I have osteoradionecrosis, "bone death of the jaw and I Am disfigured. Most women don't realize that their dental health affects bone. Instead of taking care of their dental issues, they try DIY fixes that are very dangerous. If there isn't enough bone to do the lift the results will be disastrous. Thank you for speaking the truth. Well done!
I love my older getting face. It is a blessing to grow older & to have had each one of life's experiences leaving a reminder somewhere. Many don't get to experience that.
I'm 22, and when someone says that a woman 40-50 age with dozens of surgeries look like she's in her 20s, it's funny. No, she just looks like a woman her age, but with surgeries😂
All this way-too-young work reminds me of my mom. Due to illness that was treated with chemo & steroids, she had bone death that required her to have her hips replaced in her 40s. It is usually something done in someones 60s or 70s. But because the new joint doesn't last forever, and because after healing she was able to return to being highly active, she had to get a 2nd replacement done about 15 years later. It was hell for her, but she needed it to have a functioning body, not something superficial and unimportant. Aging & Deterioration are Inevitable. Stop preemptively "fixing" yourself when it will only make you age faster & make fixing your body harder.
Your humour and wit while you deliver these serious topics is just chefs kiss. It's important to talk about and it is actually scary and kind of horrific but you find the perfect balance of delivering it with humour while getting across the message very well imo. Also none of these examples look good to me in the final results. That's not a pretty face (to me) it's uncanny. The Christina Aguilera now looks horrible. What is that cheek and chin? She looks like an instagram filter, is that really a good thing?
Man, that's a bold statement! I got a facelift, and I look great. It depends on what doctor you go to. That's like saying, don't get your home remodeled they'll fuck it up, or youll need to justget it redone in 10 years.why buy a new car, you're just going to meed to buy a new one in 10 years. Furthermore, everything has wear and tear and will eventually need replacement or upgrade. Just like my examples i gave from home remods, cars,my hip replacements, amd more Its all about your research on it and where you decide to go and who does the work. Come on, man, this is common sense! Then why bother getting your hair done if you need to go back in 6 to 8 weeks?
I have an idea, age gracefully and accept that everything and everyone gets old. It’s natural and should be embraced as beautiful. Start to focus on things other than beauty. There’s far more to life than your looks.
I think aging is rlly cool. Your wrinkles tell the story of your life on your face. Crows feet and smile lines mean you were happy I hope when I’m old mine are very deep, I want people to know I was happy :)
I’m 60 and sure I have some wrinkles but not enough to ever put myself through such an invasive procedure. The neck is what gives me age away or so I think. But I did earn my wrinkles and I’m keeping them!
I had to have a double mastectomy. I’m still in the process of reconstruction. It’s a long painful journey. I would never do anything to my face. It would be incredibly painful
People glorify this and hide under the uncertainty of what will be after a year or several years? What's more, you're addicted because you seem to have to do this again and again. It's just terrible that people aren't allowed to age ‘normally’...
In my early 20ies I trained my face just like the rest of my body, when I focus or when I'm angry I worked to keep my face smooth and instead of wrinkling it I do face gymnastics on micro levels, I can move both my ears, wink with both eyes, write with both hands and I believe that muscle when strong can lift your face a lot better (especially when you have strong muscles around the ears) and training all facial muscles (we have many) makes a face look pretty. And very important, eat bite chew real food as our ancestors all the sagging skin comes from wrong eating habits our muscles today are so weak not just in the face but the entire body. Musicians who play trompet have amazing muscles around the mouth they won't get so wrinkly and keep that baby like smoothness longer since it all produces collagene. Only what we use, grows and stays strong. Muscles we don't use, get weak. Also silver water makes the face look less wrinkly, sleeping enough in my 20ies when others were partying lol and lots of spices, water, tea, gut health are factors which all connect in the end. These face lift faces all look static, no life in them, they look creepy there is always this factor of a face looking trustworthy real which they are missing this je ne sais quoi. A face without wrinkles will not automatically look youthful at all this is a misconception. Facial Workout and food also improves bone density, tackles all layers of skin from the inside as it should which makes a face look amazing.
Im 40 and haven't had anything done to my face but facials, good skincare, and laser hair removal. Will I want a facelift eventually? Probably. Will I be able to afford it? Porbably not 😂 so I'll stick to what I've been doing and just try to care for my skin the best I can and embrace my lines and wrinkles
Christina hasn't had a face-lift. I follow a plastic surgeon that actually went over procedures that Christina had, and at most...she may have had a brow lift (not the threaded fox brow lift, but the kind that goes *above* the ear, not behind it). But she hasn't had an actual face-lift. Which contrary to a lot of 'new' info about them...they're extremely invasive. I've had botox and filler, but I will always refuse a face-lift. At least the video showed this, where most people try to *tone down* this type of surgery.
29:29 This whole Dr. Kim thing is a rabbithole of sketchy ghost surgery practices and suspended facilities in China. You should totally do a deep dive on it if you’re interested, Lael. I’ve seen some videos on it and let me tell you, the creepy part is not even the results, I fear for these people’s safety.
Christina looks great to be sure, but she doesn’t look like 1. Herself or 2. Like she’s in her 20s. She looks like a woman in her 40s who’s had very good work done but I don’t think it makes them look younger, just well, very well preserved. Same thing with Demi Moore, she doesn’t look 62, but she doesn’t look 22 or even 32. She does look like a woman in her 40s or 50s who’s had very good work done. Once Courtney got rid of as much of the filler she could, she looks naturally beautiful.
Adriana Limas photo in this video is when her makeup artist used some strings to pull up her skin. She doesn't look like that normally. She may have had a face lift, I don't know, but that photo was a temporary look. She posted her real self after that photo was taken.
10:24 she 100% had a facelift for so many reasons, but look at the slant and pull of her eyes. Wow in her 20s wtf... they say you have a finite amount of times that you can actually go in and get a facelift because after that you're filled with way too much scar tissue. I wonder if she's going to regret it when she wants another one in her 30s, 40s, and 50s.
Aging is the biggest privilege you have in life. Aging is beyond beautiful and those of us that get to age should feel BLESSED. Take care of your body and your health, it is the absolute best thing you can do for yourself. The stigma with aging is a money grab and they want you to feel bad about it so you spend all your time and hard-earned money on procedures and products that promise you all these fabulous 'results' just to end up with complications, deformities or zero actual results. Which they then take and gaslight you about so you spend money to fix it or touch it up. They are SELLING you something, never forget that.
I think if a woman has the money and wants to have a facelift, then she should. Of course she should thoroughly research it first, but I don't judge her. And for those who want to age naturally, good for them, too. Live and let live.
@@vegasgirl3538 I don't agree with fillers or botox for young people. Recent studies have shown fillers don't actually dissolve or break down over time, they migrate to other areas of your body. For the amount of money people are spending on cosmetic surgery, they could get a damn good therapist instead.
We also have to remember that the pictures and videos are “tuned up” they DO NOT portray reality, and IN PERSON they look *completely* different.

Dr Robert Morse
My gf was getting Morpheus treatment done at a celebrity plastic surgeon’s office in Bev Hills. She mentioned to the nurse that she would love to get a facelift . The nurse’s face was mildly horrified and the first thing she mentioned was that it messes up the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system recovers. The most important thing for surgery recovery is do not smoke, drink a lot of water and eat healthy
I think Christina looks awful now she looks creepy she doesn’t look the way she did when she was younger that’s rubbish
That’s ridiculous. There’s something called the healing process and our bodies are really good at it if you help it along with lifestyle

Amen!
I love "the clothes are to fit you, not the other way around"..I wish these women knew
Aging is a blessing and a PRIVILEGE.

That’s true, but it makes sense that celebrities feel pressured into hiding visible signs of aging
My wonderful and beautiful friend died of an aggressive cancer at age 39, she never got the opportunity to age and spent her last few months in misery. It really puts things in perspective. I’m sure she would have treasured getting to 50

@@ville-c4uwhy comment at all. Nasty comment.

Kylie had it too young. It makes you age faster if you do it younger tbh.
like maybe but as the youtuber said you can only take so much over time. you can only run away from age for so long.
@@narrgamedesigner2747 Yeah personally I would not risk it because it's messing with your health unnecessarily and as you said aging is unavoidable. People should be focused on adopting healthy habits to not lose mobility early.

❤❤
They are all starting to look alike. Stepford wives with no uniqueness.
Yeah, I think the key is getting a little lift instead of a full snatch, which I agree, looks super uncanny.
@WilliamsPinch And wait until you are 50 plus to start all that.
If I had a younger sister or cousin I would be telling them to avoid filler and alcohol from young. It’s very beneficial to the long term results.

You should have helped her by taking her to a therapist at least for all the things she has done for you and your daughter.
Whoa, I’m so sorry. That’s disturbing. I really think that anesthesia is not good for the brain. And painkillers can def make people mean.
Sunscreen, no smoking, exercise, quality skin care and a positive attitude go a long way… and much cheaper.
Parrrroting like a good pharm industry bot 🤦♀sunscreen is not "health", it's cancer. Sunshine is health. Not a coincidence that skin cancer skyrocketed once the sunscreen industry sold u the "solution" to sunshine
Same lol! I would end up botched too lol. The stars didn't align for me there
I'm so proud of you, you made yourself the biggest gift and it shines to others this is beautiful stay resistent. We all can grow to redefine beauty, as a society, for the next generations. You are rich in wisdom which will pay out in dollars as well, you'll be fine.
Thank you for putting into words everything many of us are thinking 💕
The Netflix movie Uglies is part one of a book series where people in a post-apocalyptic world are forced to undergo extreme beautification surgery when they turn 16… the second book is called Pretties
😮
It’s so wild! Like yeah, it’s dystopian and all, but is it really that far off reality? I mean, kids are growing up being constantly told what’s wrong with them and their appearances and being sold this idea of how much happier they’ll be after they look a certain way… It’s certainly not as overt as it’s made for the story, but in a way, kids are growing up looking forward to getting this and that done and thinking that nose job or that jaw shaving will be their happily ever after 💀
I really enjoyed the book series
I would definitely do that tbh😂😂
Imagine hating yourself so much that you not only change yourself completely, irreversible from the outside but also from the inside. How sad...why are we doing this with our bodys that are actually perfect designed at birth and our unique true self....
Whats wrong with just aging gracefully (naturally) ? I swear...social media has ruined us as humans with our insecurities.
Jowls aren't graceful.
Who defines what agent gracefully is? Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that someone else can’t age gracefully and enjoy being older while having a youthful appearance. It’s not a one-size-fits-all term. All term.
@@dammar117 let me rephrase.... "naturally"
@@HulaMask see my comment below
I'm 45. Yes I have wrinkles. This is what a face looks like.
We need to learn to love the face God gave you. Do not mess with it.
They all look bad.
I don’t think it looks like the original them. Who are they?
Your next video should be about those girls who get eye surgery to permanently change eye color & all the risks
Yes!!!! I’m seeing that
People are so grotesquely vain, it's vile.
Yet, these same people will tell disabled/disfigured/people in an accident that thry should love who they are. Sickos!
Well, would you rather them tell a disabled person that they are a waste of space? I mean, what’s the alternative.😂
@@HulaMask They could say nothing at all. People have the option to say nothing about how another person looks. I wish it were exercised more often.

And thats done by a professional. Paid by top dollar….
They would probably look better if she didnt lose a crap ton of weight on that ozempic
It’s BAD, square bbs are not sexy
Looks like baaad capsular contracture 😬😬😬😬
I came right to the comments after seeing that image and yours was the first one. Wtf? Not cute. The more surgery people get, the more freakish they look.
Facelifts are for older people; something you get when you ACTUALLY have lax, sagging skin! It was not intended for the young, therefore the results on the young may not be optimal. Also, the best surgeon/technique will keep you looking like yourself. I think fillers are more problematic, they can migrate and cause scarring that will compromise the results of a facelift should you want one later.
Facelifts are for people who have serious psychological issues and can't get over them. Period. It's not for people of X age.
@AbbieeSchutjerr that is a really good point, yes!! I didn't think of that, but 100% agree and actually it is a shame that people don't think of this
And interesting that you say that, because she's talked about considering jaw/chin reduction surgeries before!
I hear good things about formol permanently freezing the clock.
“buccal up” I am dead💀
Lol
Aging gracefully here at 55 in April had NOTHING DONE! Thank you ☺️
Male opinion here. None of them look human to me after these procedures. Even if their skin is "smooth". It's difficult to look at them.
And that is with heavy makeup, photoshop, and/or filters.
Yes now look at Kylie, she looks closer to 40 than 30
I would say 50 for a facelift.
Can I just say that almost every celebrity looks the same???? In my opinion getting a face lift at a young age makes you look older. I once met this lady she had filler and a face lift and she was ONLY 29. She looked at least older than 29.
Then it be the celebrities that have surgery, always tell us to 'love ourselves' or ' we are all naturally beautiful.' THE IRONY
Don’t feel sorry because it seems to be the people who want to grow old gracefully that seem to be triggered. Why do you care what others do
@@doubleemmartin1exactly
Can you detail what A LOT looks like?
Thanks for using my photo even though I’ve never gotten a face lift 💀
Using Brianna’s face to talk about facelifts when she’s never had one??????? This is how rumors are started. Icky behavior
I think people forget celebrities heavily edit their photos too, she probably doesn’t look like that in person
No, they look amazing in person. Check Getty images they don’t have Photoshop photos. The facelift are the real deal.
In person they look super scary

@ how do you know? When was the last time you saw a celebrity in person who had $100,000 facelift? Don’t lie. Literally tell me when you actually saw it instead of just saying it’s scary.
The younger you start the earlier you're going to look like Joan Rivers or Nancy Pelosi. There's a reason a lot of celebrities all start to look like the same Wayland Flowers' puppet Madame. Plus there's all the scar tissue every time which makes every subsequent facelift more difficult and risky.
Joan had skin only lifts.. because that was all there was. Nancy hasn't had a lift. Find better current examples to make your ... point?
I support her
Any younger than around 40 is insane!
It’s called photo shop you silly people. News flash…PHOTOS AREN’T REALITY and haven’t been for a hot minute!
This is getting out of hand. People just need to accept that aging happens…. The plastic surgery won’t change your age. Just stupid.

You mean your common sense is still alive and kicking 😂that's good news actually.
I blame the patriarchy 😂
As women we're expected to be beautiful, and then criticized for doing something about it (which is why I think celebs get the procedures and then try to hide it).
Also men get face lifts, hair transplant, liposuction etc. I can't see the link with patriarchy
@@maramao6202the patriarchy also hurts men! That’s what makes it so insidious. It’s not just about women being screwed by standards. It forces standards upon men too.
@@raedazeor women are just as vain as men. You know I take issue with your comment. You're taking all responsibility and personal autonomy from adult women only to put the blame on men for women's personal decisions.
Sorry sweetheart, I hate to break it to you. It's not the patriarchy who are the most vicious about women's looks, it's women.
If you deny that then you're either a child or a liar. Or you're delusional. The Asian actors or singers are amongst the most grotesquely abused humans I've witnessed. Moreso than the women. And who are their fans? Majority women. They can't age, gain weight, hell they can't even date a celebrity their fan base hates.

Especially because those beauty standards are rooted in pdfilia
Well done!
It’s a new race of “Handsome Squidwards”! 😂
HAHAHA 😭😳
I love my older getting face. It is a blessing to grow older & to have had each one of life's experiences leaving a reminder somewhere. Many don't get to experience that.
I'm 22, and when someone says that a woman 40-50 age with dozens of surgeries look like she's in her 20s, it's funny. No, she just looks like a woman her age, but with surgeries😂
Those doctors telling you that they'll give you the "natural look". Nope. Natural is only if you don't do any surgery.
0:18 She doesn't look 18. More like a plastic surgery horror show
The combo is: Ozempic, Veneers, Hair Extensions, Pony Tail Facelift and Spray Tan.
Every woman in my family is aging naturally and gracefully and I plan on doing the same 💗
Man, that's a bold statement! Just like my examples i gave from home remods, cars,my hip replacements, amd more
Its all about your research on it and where you decide to go and who does the work.
Girl your videos saved me from getting fillers
It all really comes down to having more ego & money, than self-esteem. They all look ridiculous.
Face lifts do not cost 15 or even 30k. They cost way more! The range in LA is from 40k to 250k. If you don’t believe me, look it up.
Dr. Kao does the famous ponytail facelift, and it goes for $75,000 to $200,000, depending on how extensive you want it to go..
Y'all wake up Lael uploaded
I think if a woman has the money and wants to have a facelift, then she should. Of course she should thoroughly research it first, but I don't judge her. And for those who want to age naturally, good for them, too. Live and let live.
You know who i appreciate. Dolly Parton. At least she's honest 😂
Kate Beckinsale’s transformation is legit chilling.
People need to get more therapy and less plastic surgery
Agreed. A little filler or Botox is one thing, but girls in their 20s getting procedures that are normally reserved for women 50+ is not a good look.
@@vegasgirl3538 I don't agree with fillers or botox for young people. Recent studies have shown fillers don't actually dissolve or break down over time, they migrate to other areas of your body. For the amount of money people are spending on cosmetic surgery, they could get a damn good therapist instead.
