    Cutest fastest hat ever. Took less than two hours. Clare’s videos are so quick and clear. I did have to giggle at 10,000 face book followers. Guessing you have many more by now.

    I have to say....I've enjoyed making this hat. I love how it came out. I also liked how you show how to use the measuring tape in order to get the measurement for the crown of the hat. Its a lot easier than what I've been doing. Thank you for all you do to help and getting these great tutorials out to us. Looking forward to all your tutorials in the future. Happy crochet!

    Once again you have made something easy to understand. I was having a difficult time trying to figure out how to connect the rows with the V Stitch. The pattern was very vague and you made it easy. THANK YOU again.

    I LOVE hat! I made it today for the first time. I make your shells hat, the one with a lavender one a md a larger coral one on the video. I love it too. I donate hats to the nursing home where my mom lives and I'm always looking for new hat patterns. My nephew a md his wife are expecting in November and if it's a girl she will be getting one of these too!❤

    hi , The mathematical formula for getting circumference if you know the diameter (measurement across hat). You just measure from 1 edge to the other and multiply that number by 3.142 & the answer you get is the measurement of the circumference.

    To make it slouch and be long at the back, add more rows of the cluster-v, I would say add another 5-8 rows..... depending on how long/slouchy you want the hat

    • @CrochetwithClare
      @CrochetwithClare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, you can make this (and any other pattern) into a messy bun hat figure out how big you want the hole for your hat, then look at row 2 or 3 of the pattern, see how many stitches it is. Make a few less chains and join to make a circle, then work round 2 or 3 (what ever one you chose) and continue on with the pattern
      Hope this helps

    I've made three simple scarves double crocheted out of multicolored yarn and want to make three beanies in a single color to match each of them but try to incorporate a little of the color of the scarf in each. How would you suggest I do that with this pattern without looking to garish? These will be going on our Christmas tree at church for people in need in or community so I'd like to do as many as possible. I'm thinking in preteen, adult lady and man sizes.

    • @CrochetwithClare
      @CrochetwithClare  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello, i can not really teach how to change your own tension. Only thing I can suggest is to change the tension on the yarn you are holding or you can try using a hook one size up and trying not to crochet so tightly. Otherwise the only way to change your tension is practice on crocheting looser

      you possibly could. you can start the beginning with a magic circle and then just don't close the circle. or you can start the hat on the second increase round. so start with 12 chains instead of 4 and then continue with the rest of the pattern

    If any of you are looking for the basic beanie to start here is the link. th-cam.com/video/sEwo1d8qGpo/w-d-xo.html Once you are done then come back to this video & continue with the V stitch. I've made many of them.
