  • When you hear the story of the Good Samaritan, who do you see yourself as in the story? As the fourth voice in our SEVEN series, Pastor Levi Lusko reminds us of our true place in the Kingdom of God, as a people who are in desperate need of a Savior.

At Passion City Church, we believe that because God has displayed the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus, our response to that in worship must be extravagant. It is our privilege, and our created purpose, to reflect God’s Glory to Him through our praise, our sacrifice, and our song.

I am from a community of believers in CHURACHANDPUR, Manipur, India. This message of the Samaritan was preached from our local church by our elder via loud speaker this very hour. And here I am listening the same here through different glass. Couldn't be blessed more then this.

I love when that happens!! Reminds me about our connection to not only God but also to one another through Holy Spirit.

I needed this reminder why we tithe. Our natural mind will argue until it doesn’t make sense, but the supernatural Holy Spirit in us rejoices in obedience to God’s words to look more like His people. We give because Christ gave it all for us, how much more should we, through receiving new life in eternity, have an outpouring to the Church and those around us. When we tithe we are saying money is not an idol or my provider, God is. His Word is alive and active in us. We should want to invest into His truth and be Doers of the Word.

Love the sermon. The title was a little catchy but after watching it I realized that people who think they are better and full of power etc, aren't really good servants. Its all selfish act to them.
    Much love and respect!

This preaching sounds good, and teaching us about being good people, and religious people.
But the truly meaning of the message about good Samaritan is not about giving, caring for people, or about reward.
But for me it's about God has compassion for us, when we are deserve to be abandoned by Him, and when we are hurt this world would not able to help us or save us but His compassion (the good Samaritan) that came to us, help us, save us, (still) love us, when we are not deserve it, like a man who were hurt in that story.
The good Samaritan hates Jews, just like God hate sin, but in fact He still has compassion for sinner or for people who are against him. And the good Samaritan said I will coming back, just like what Jesus said He will coming back to us who are hurt and needs help. (For the preference, you can listen Billy Graham preaching about The Good Samaritan)
