I'm very impressed with your trapping knowledge and willingness to show us how you do it. I live in interior alaska. Its great of you to share these videos and im going to try and see if I cant become a trapper aswell. Im a little older then you but it great for a younger guy showing this older guy how its done. THANKS
Just started watching your videos about a week ago im very impressed :) and I can't wait until your next one. I'm from Labrador and I love to trap as well, keep up the awesome work.
i have wanted to live like u r, since i was 8 yrs old. i love yer vids man. how can u even do that nowadays? i am in us, so i wanna be a canadian man. i envy yer way of living. Take Care!!, BenM
@madeforpron the only way i would starve is if i was crippled too much game and so easy to harvest! if you know what your doing you will not starve here in the north. all the northwest territories is just one big deep freeze of various types of meat! thanks for commenting
Ah, it is great to sit down at the computer and see a new video from Andrew. Looks like your off to a good start! Would love to see you make rabbit stew/soup. Looking forward to the next installment. Peace bro. -Kevin
I love your videos and respect the way you live and what you do. You live a life many of us dream about but are too afraid to take the leap. I am now too old to live that life full time but like to come up there some time in Aug. or Sept.
Get those wolves or they will run your trap line before you do every day. Damn things are smart and have no natural enemy. That's why you gotta control their numbers constantly. Good luck Andrew, if anybody can get wolves it's you man!
Another great vid. I'm surprised that you shoot the fox. A bop on the head will do them in. Coffee filters make a decent trap cover in the snow also. But they are a pain to carry because they suck up water. Wet and frozen they don't work as well as waxed paper! Hope you label the wolverine. That's where the money is. Keep safe. Miss the part of the vids where you say "Peace."
Thanks for the update Andrew keep them coming, just stopped in from the line tonight i set out 5 days ago for marten, so far 3 marten 2 weasels and a flying squirel. cant wait till dec1st i can set for lynx. Keep the vids coming
Good to be on the trails with you via camera. Wishing you luck on getting the wolf and wolverine. Would like to see a few details on how you set your snares. I need the help.
Andrew, I have started a small trapline after 35 years away from the sport. I can't wait to make my first catch. My first check had several robbed baits. You have my blood boiling for a catch. I got my first grizzly this year at 30 feet. Damn those things are tough and they do not want to die. They roar like a lion when you shoot them. Next year I am going to shoot one with a pistol at the same range. I would love to take you hunting here in AK
another great one Andrew, if you get any thing in your tip up trap i would love to see a video on that. and if you have time could you possibly make a video on how you skin your weasels. thanks for posting your videos love to see more. good luck getting those wolves
Here in Manitoba we just had +5 C weather, unfortunatly melted ALOT of snow, but it's alright, random hot weather like this usually brings one hell of a good storm.
another good show!! glad to see you have all the snow up there...by the way, the cutters are done and on the way tomorrow i hope. wwednesday at the latest..joe
Do you nightlatch your traps? We have to here (Yote traps) and have them take a couple pounds before they go off. If we dont we will catch squirrels and Grouse.
love your videos...one question im new to trapping and im wondering how to kill the catch if there not dead already...ive been carrying a 12 gauge with shot. is that overkill?
Hey Andrew. Would you make a video showing how you set a leg hold in the snow. Down here we use wax dirt but I see you setting right in the snow. How do you keep it from freezing solid? I know this is an old video so I hope you see this bud.
@TheWildNorth if you get blood near the set after dispatching a red fox, I hear they don't come into the set again. You left the Fox in the bush for the wolves? how come?
hey guy, another nice one damm wolves, we dont have them here now thing of the past. what are you using for camera. got a great trapline there eh? wheres your cousin?
You have been out wolved ... no flying lynx yet? your death camp reminds me of a Far Side cartoon.. where two Coyotes are walking into death camp, and one looks up a sees all the skulls, and says "Hey George I kinda have a funny feeln about this place."
@1212boochie I dont know what types of Fox he has in that area. Reds stay red. But like Weasels some do change and other dont. Ermine are brown in the summer and classic white in the winter. While Mink are the same year aorund. Hope his helps.
do you have trouble w/ coyotes raiding your trapped animals like the wolves do? coyotes are totally out of hand here. considered vermin. i kill all i can, anyway i can. make nice coats for the ladies w/ them. use the carcasses for bait. great videos man. appreciate your time and effort.
The wolves seem to be difficult to catch, your tracks problemly need to be brushed out, they see them & smell human odor. have you tried putting snares farther back on all incoming trails near your main set with no scent or bait and brush out human tracks, to try to fool them. I know these wolves are very intelligent. I've never had a chance to trap wolves, and I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job,but trying to solve problem, them wolves are worth alot of money.
looks like a yote to me. the wolfs taking my coyote would be enought to piss me right the hell off. i would be goin on mission "kill every fucking wolf i seen" lol good vids man!
Keep the videos coming Andrew. It makes me feel good there are still men like you who follow the good life.

Just wondered if you dare trace those blood and guts back to the wolf’s Liar? set up some nearer traps and maybe catch a whole lot more?
u know its legit when the video has 0 dislikes, even the PETA dislike spammers know to stay away from things like this, right on.
Wax paper eh...im new to trapping in the frigid cold. Do you wax yours to?
I used to use the juice from walnut hulls and paraffin wax.
HAHA Wolves have to eat too! LMAO! Where is your shot placement when the fox is in the trap? Head? Heart lung? What is your distance?
