Love that abrupt showing of the review score, no fancy fade out transition. This game will win Best Shooter of 2017!!! This puts Call of Duty or even Star Wars Battlefront to shame
Maybe I singled out those specific multiplayer shooters but the point is, I view it as just a FPS game in general, not specifically a Single player or multiplayer. Compare this to all of the other shooters that were released today, Wolfenstein (along with Doom) stood out as it still brought back to old-school FPS gameplay that is different than other shooters which use the same gameplay mechanics repeatedly, but also has a strong single-player campaign that they don't bother having multiplayer. It shows that the developer is playing to their strengths in deciding to just released a strong single-player shooter. That is my opinion, you can choose to agree or disagree with me.
I know this will sound whiny, but less cutscene footage in reviews would be awesome. I went through much of this video with my eyes covered to avoid spoilers. That being said, above and beyond content as per usual. Great job Ben, Ian, and Jones.
There's nothing "political" about the symbolism of killing nazi's, it's about good vs evil. The fact that quotes like the one at the end makes one question the political affiliation of a certain group of game journalists indicates how low common sense in the US has dropped.
Again, why does that sound political to you? "It knows exactly what it wants to say and it wants the player to overcome" Yes it wants the player to kick nazi butt. How this became controversial is beyond me.
Anyone know if there's an option to delete the bullet traces a.k.a the lines you see beyond the muzzle as you're firing? I don't remember those being there in The New Order and Old Blood. Here I see them on some weapons and some not, is it an upgrade or what?
Honestly thought it wld be a 5 star game. The way they gushed about it for 8mins or so and then 2 minor complaints. But still great review guys. Will be buyin this one
Nice! My heart and soul belong to mario, but will probably pick this up down the line. Thanks Bethesda for carrying the torch for the single player FPS
Dang, after hearing Bloodworth talk about the stilts, it's disappointing to hear that they aren't utilized very much. I'll still be getting this game at some point for sure though.
The "shockhammer kicks like a lion" - Better be kicked by a lion than, say, a mule or a horse. And if the worst thing the lion does to you is kick you, I'd say you're pretty lucky.
by far the best fps youll play all year.if you want some original and pretty insane storytelling in a fps play this its miles above alot of other shooters of how well the characters and story are written
Played through a couple missions last night...game is a masterpiece of a FPS. It made me feel so uneasy at times and downright sick to the stomach... William's father... ugh what a prick. Any game that gets that kind of emotion out of a player is a 10/10 for me.
Almost impecible review! Super Mario Odyssey is Mario 64 on steroids, Resident Evil 7 was a pleasant horrifying surprise, Nier Automata was a delicious mixed beast, but Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is the best game of 2017. It did so much right with very little fault. (Horizon, Persona 5, and Zelda BotW were great but too had to many issues)
Too bad AC: Origins was a bit of a bust (it can stand alongside Andromeda, Wildlands, and Yooka Laylee as this year's duds - though as far as the duds go it's still the best of the bunch). Luckily we have this and Mario Odyssey immediately following up. The 2017 Gaming Lineup continues to impress and amaze. Hopefully EZA has their copy(s) by now, and we'll get the review shortly. Here's hoping for Odyssey to grab another perfect score!
It has an average of like 85. How is that a bust? I can see Damiani has been playing Mario today but the game is pretty big. Id give it sometime before the review.
Wild Link I'm not saying AC Origins sucks, but compared to so many other amazing games that have come out this year, some of which I've played and others I'm looking forward to eventually doing so, it's a bit of a let down considering how much it was hyped up (feels more like a typical big release of the last few years as opposed to stuff like Horizon, Nioh, Nier, and nearly everything coming out of Nintendo right now). I've never been a big Assassin's Creed fan, but I've always appreciated the series style and core ideas, so I was really hoping Origins was going to make good on it's potential and be a revolutionary new step for the series instead of just being at the quality the previous few games should've been.
@KC And don't forget Persona 5 as well--- Another wonderful addition to the games of 2017 line up (though technically it came out in Japan already in 2016)
It does have similar mechanics but leans more toward all out action than the more survival oriented Metro games. I'd say if you like that series you'll probably enjoy this a lot too.
Hm I feel this review spoiled more things than it should have. I wish there weren't so many things showing the dog as that seems like it would have been nice to find out during the game. That being said, the review was excellent otherwise.
If only the regional price wasn't as egregious for this game on Steam. Seriously, what the hell Bethesda thinks when they price their games on other regions. It's ludicrous.
Jonathan Tessier there are some racist bands that promote racism. But there are also bands that promote other good ideals. Eg killswitch engage, wolves at the gate, war of ages all promote positive ideals.
If you're interested, the logic of most people frustrated with the marketing of this game goes as follows. 1. Many Trump supporters were looking forward to getting into this game and fighting against Nazis because Nazis are evil. 2. The game took direct shots at said Trump supporters with it's advertising implying both he and they are Nazis. 3. Therefore Trump supporters would rather give their hard earned money to other companies who don't call them the group they believe are evil. The game looks good. So do a whole lot of other ones. It was dumb on their part to villainize a group by placing them in a category they are repulsed by in a time when the $60 that would go to this could easily be swayed to another game.
Ghost of Ramsay Bolton In its advertising it used the hashtags notmyamerica and makeamericanazifreeagain to make a correlation between nazism and Trump. If Trump is a nazi and Trump supporters support Trump, they are nazi supporters. Pete Hines defended the marketing, but only defended the uncontroversial third hashtag, nomorenazis.
I usually agree with GT reviews but I think they got this one wrong. The game isn't terrible, but it's a very short campaign with 5 minute long cutscenes every other corner and doesn't really go anywhere... check out gggmanlives review for a more proper explanation of what I mean
Why does the video look so shitty? Everything has a foggy/haze/drab filter over it. So ugly. Is it just the youtube compression? I liked the first game and I like Doom. But if the game looks like this hazey ugliness then I cannot touch it.
Growing up as a young boy on the Serengeti, Ben Moore was kicked by a lion, and it left an impression.
Unsure if it was a mistake or intentional, but i feel like the cut straight to the score suits Wolfenstein.
It was definitely intentional, fitted the quote and the helmet soundeffect.
Love that abrupt showing of the review score, no fancy fade out transition.

Andri Zulkifli Battlefront and COD are shite. There is no comparison
One of the best single player FPS games I had the pleasure of playing..kudos to MachineGames yet again!
I kinda liked that quick cut to the score. It helps keep the focus on the review, not so much on the actual score.
I know this will sound whiny, but less cutscene footage in reviews would be awesome. I went through much of this video with my eyes covered to avoid spoilers. That being said, above and beyond content as per usual. Great job Ben, Ian, and Jones.
I stumbled across this channel this weekend after mourning GT for a year. I had no idea you guys were doing this. I'm so excited!
@5:50 "Shock hammer kicks like a lion"? you mean kicks like a mule?
It's that strong
Are lions known for their incredible kicking power?
Great review guys.
Well, no they are not. :p
Kaizo Audio The logic I had in my head while writing that line made sense but in retrospect...pretty dumb.
Nah, I think it really works in a "I get what you mean" sense which is what matters
This guy has never been kicked by a lion.
To be fair, that simile has stuck out so much more than a cliche like 'kick like a mule' ever would.
Like the special touch in the end, Ian. Also, great review, Ben! Quite different form the ones I've watched it.
I don't think I ever expected a Wolfenstein game to get praise for its story when I played the original 25 years ago.
Best reviews in the biz
floopteydoo icepants don't forget ACG
Karap has nothing on the Allies.
Jesus christ Ben the writing in this review is god tier. This might actually be your best review yet imo.
Loved the "coming to Switch" line in the beginning. You guys are on top of things.
Loved the editing on the score. Super!
Haha, that ending! Lovely touch.
Thats a bit of Ian in there I think :)
That's definitely all Ian :D Gotta love the guy
Terrible dialogue

4.5 stars. Awesome! Can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Wolfenstein The New Order was a triumph and the sequel looks even better!
I love how the score comes at the end.
Great review all in all.
Games like this show a strong single player can take down a multiplayer any day, any time.
Anyone know if there's an option to delete the bullet traces a.k.a the lines you see beyond the muzzle as you're firing? I don't remember those being there in The New Order and Old Blood. Here I see them on some weapons and some not, is it an upgrade or what?
I think its an upgrade
It's an upgrade.
6:18 "ah, yeah, hmmm... still getting my eye in."
Whoa, the score at the end was so quick. Was there a goal of keeping it under 10 minutes or something?
Also, the review was awesome, thanks!
It’s like a mic drop :D
In other videos there is an animation of the stars counting down before showing the final score, just like at the beginning of the video.
Just subscribed to your channel. I think you do good reviews. Keep up great work
This game has so many great scenes. Thank you for not spoiling them!
Guys, your reviews will always remain top notch for me. I will always be the gametrailers fun)
Yeah the dog's gonna die isn't it? I hate that kind of stuff in games, it's my weakness
Honestly thought it wld be a 5 star game. The way they gushed about it for 8mins or so and then 2 minor complaints. But still great review guys. Will be buyin this one
This review sold me, i'm buying this game.
Tyke me too 😆
I liked it better than Doom
Cader Locke me too and it’s on sale for 12$
Omg I just found this channel. Your the guy from game trailers! I loved that channel. Hated to see it go. Look forward to more good ass reviews
Awesome, I’ve been anticipating this review all day lol. And very nice touch at the end
Getting this beast of a game tomorrow. Can't wait!
One of my favorite games of all time !!!
Nice! My heart and soul belong to mario, but will probably pick this up down the line. Thanks Bethesda for carrying the torch for the single player FPS
I assumed Huber was doing this review, but it turns out... IT'S BEN
Dang, after hearing Bloodworth talk about the stilts, it's disappointing to hear that they aren't utilized very much. I'll still be getting this game at some point for sure though.
Woah! What a review! What a way to end it! Well done!!!
I wonder how this'll run on the switch, if it runs half decent, I'm definitely getting it.
One things for sure, you sold me on this game
Great review guys! Thanks
Loved the review! (is the absence of the score animation new?)
The "shockhammer kicks like a lion" - Better be kicked by a lion than, say, a mule or a horse. And if the worst thing the lion does to you is kick you, I'd say you're pretty lucky.
You have to progress to level up weapons and not pay, don't get it
Yes this is what I had hoped for! I loved the last one!
Great review guys!!! I love this game...
Finished it today., great game and it was a fun ride from start to finish.
best reviews in the web, so much respect for the different woks of the game studios.
10 minutes? That's a Ben Moore.
The scenes that come up in this game can only be described as unexpected lol
Superb review!
Man the beginning of this video made me think it was a phantom pain dlc
Why didn't you guys do the usual effect when you show the score at the end? You just showed the score. Minor complaint.
they were just being dramatic in its abruptness considering the preceding scene
Definitely gonna pick it up next year.
I'm going to wait to get this one on the Switch.
JackFlash85 Better pray for good optimization then
I need this game in my life.
a very good game i loved the hell out of it 10/10 for me
Why is that gun kicking like a lion and an even better question is why in the hell are lions kicking in the first place?
Nice review as always.
Also @Easy Allies (which I assume Bloodworth would answer, or might) when can we expect a Super Mario Odyssey review?
I'm so happy that My fav franchises are alive again Wolf 3d and DOOM.
by far the best fps youll play all year.if you want some original and pretty insane storytelling in a fps play this its miles above alot of other shooters of how well the characters and story are written
Glad a game like this is coming to the switch ;D
Awesome game. 9/10. Almost a 10 for me.
Is it necessary to play the first 2 to play this one
For Recreational Use Only fuck it i bought it anyways not like i have anything better to do hahaha new order/old blood was only 15$ anyways
I found the shockhammer to be underwhelming. I hardly use it.
Played through a couple missions last night...game is a masterpiece of a FPS. It made me feel so uneasy at times and downright sick to the stomach... William's father... ugh what a prick. Any game that gets that kind of emotion out of a player is a 10/10 for me.

This is the gametrailers guy! Holy shit!
9:37 am I the only one who feels the delivery of this line is off?
I wish this was TimeSplitters. This game just don’t look interesting to me. Anyway, nice review. Better than GameSpot’s that’s for sure.
nice outro.
De loin les best reviews out there
lions don't kick xD
Wow i loved this review!
Music sounds very Doomish
Neurotyczny Kot Same composer, Mick Gordon
It's doomish sometimes, but it has some really cool melodic stuff going on that I think is a bit absent in this review!
Doom was a bit Wolfensteinish
Where is your Mario odyssey review?
Suprised it didn't get a 5
Too bad AC: Origins was a bit of a bust (it can stand alongside Andromeda, Wildlands, and Yooka Laylee as this year's duds - though as far as the duds go it's still the best of the bunch).

best reviews on net!

SNARLING BEAST OF A GAME

Game of the Year imo

How much?
YES.
Steam reviews are in stark contrast with this score.
Lemur Dinner because of bugs not gameplay
I know that voice!
If the dog dies I'm out
This ain't Mario.
Best review on TH-cam. Thanks for keeping any kind of politics away from it.
4.5 / 5
sofTen the blow! yes jones!
Only the neo Nazi groups are disliking this game. I hope they make a wolfenstien trilogy disc!!!
Jonathan Tessier there are some racist bands that promote racism. But there are also bands that promote other good ideals. Eg killswitch engage, wolves at the gate, war of ages all promote positive ideals.

I know i hate socialist. Which all Nazi are :)
Seems like some of the scenes here are spoiler-ey.
Aliados Fáciles
U.O.T.Y - Underdog Of The Year
Yathin Panday LOL. obviously it don't deserve GOTY.
I usually agree with GT reviews but I think they got this one wrong. The game isn't terrible, but it's a very short campaign with 5 minute long cutscenes every other corner and doesn't really go anywhere...

Spoiler city! You spent way too much time on the story and show way to many cutscene clips.
Why does the video look so shitty? Everything has a foggy/haze/drab filter over it. So ugly. Is it just the youtube compression? I liked the first game and I like Doom. But if the game looks like this hazey ugliness then I cannot touch it.
The AI seems really stupid
