About a month in the making and desperately trying to fit this in between injuries and school times, finally we did it, really really proud of how this job and video came out, could honestly barely see a thing the entire time when cleaning due to all the splash back on my glasses but i had so much fun getting it done. Hope you all enjoy and are happy with how this one turned out!

I thought the purple looked the best since it’s my favourite colour. It looked so nice and cheerful on the playground with the colours back.

I actually went to this school. There is a story behind this playground and why it was built. A young boy in my class unfortunately lost his life whilst at school through an asthma attack. This playground was built in his memory, the J in the middle is to remember Joe, we as his class actually got to choose the design of the playground, I remember watching it being built and being the first allowed to go onto the playground. We spent hours on this as children and it’s nice to see it in such good condition again after 11+ years.

We had a story like that in my school a boy had bad asthma and some how died from another boy spraying strong cologne on him at recess, we all prayed together outside as a school and planted a tree for him ❤ rip chandler 💕

I remember coming to school after a summer and the playground being all tidied up like that, it was like getting a whole new playground. I'm sure your work on this playground will be remembered by at least one kid like me who will think back and smile and secretly thank the unknown person who brought back the colors.

I’ve got a large wooden play structure in my garden which I cleaned last weekend. If I’d filmed it, it would have contained lots of swearing, it was such a pain to do 🤣 I should have called in a professional!
I do 500m2 rubber floor on playgrounds on average per week (we do other stuff as well). Nobody ever asks us to clean the equipment, but I can help but to give it a quick spray.
I never understood why more power washing companies don't take these kinds of jobs
They're difficult and time consuming & schools dont usually have the budget for it for what most companies would charge
That's why they make caretakers do it...
I used to clean the whole of early years playground every half term....
I absolutely hated it because it took so much time...
My knees are completely ruined because of long hours standing.
What I started doing was to take weeks doing only a few hours a day. By the time I finished the other side needed doing again.
Headteachers take advantage of caretakers because they are so underpaid...

First playground cleaning I’ve watched. As a retired elementary teacher, I really appreciate you doing this so well. Sadly I’ve seen lots of improperly functioning playground equipment, even dangerous with exposed jagged hardware and broken equipment. So thanks for doing such a wonderful job. The kids and teachers appreciate the care you took cleaning this! 😊
That wood on the floor might need some replacing though. It looked a little too old to be entirely safe.

the world needs more people like you! I live in Serbia and playgrounds here are disgusting, there's trash everywhere, broken glass, wires and plastic and nothing is ever cleaned. I am honestly ashamed of my country the more I look at these videos, but I'm glad that there are good people in the world doing things like this. thank you, good sir!

It's the same in many parts of the US too sadly. Luckily most of the playground I've seen are upkept, but a lot of conservative states and non-white communities often don't even have playgrounds. This is at least in my experience.
@@meme-ur6uktbh the Playgrounds in my village were kept pretty tidy compared to this one but I've seen some who broke apart and they just never got fixed :(

That this man would do back breaking manual labour for free, time and time again is unbelievably kind.

The difference is stunning! The blue was my favorite transformation, but seeing how the pink might have been orange originally was surprising as well. Glad you took care of yourself; a week is worth not permanently ending your career from injury.
it turned out more orangy on camera but in person it was definitely more of a pinkish coloour! and definitely!
It's a gorgeous difference. So fresh looking, bright and the good news is that the little darlings can play on the equipment once again. Love the drone shots at the end. Sorry you had an injury to your neck muscle.

Beyond the issue of "slips, trips and falls", which are very important, it just looks so much better. Coupled with the kids feeling valued as others are looking out for them. Excellent. I'm mid 50s and I want to play on it.

Wow, truly did bring new life back into that playground. I hope your shoulder is ok now, I recently had a rotator cuff injury in my right shoulder from dog walking and the pain was pretty rough, not excruciating but just constant for two weeks

I was really concerned when the days kept ticking by with no new content from you. I was really afraid you’d permanently injured yourself. Please see a physical therapist to learn some stretches and exercises to keep your back strong. I’m so glad you’re back! Please take care of yourself Sid!

Lovely work you've done there despite the injury. That's given so much back to the kids and the wider community than you could ever imagine. Hopefully someone gets some treatment/oil on the wood when it's dried out. I'd love to see the childrens faces when they are allowed back on that again. Awesome job.

Perhaps it's better for everyone if he charged for it, but donated the fee back to the school. Possible tax deduction, the school can demonstrate that they did get the playground cleaned and when.
With the knot as you described, I used to get it frequently. While driving in particular. Try keeping your head "over" your chest. Instead of in front of your chest, pulling on those muscles back there. Better posture has helped me immensely.

I really appreciate your hard mahi. I am in New Zealand 🇳🇿 a preschool teacher and a mum. I've used a pressure washer (we call it water blaster lol) and I know how tiring and tedious it is. You are awesome.
The difference is massive! Pressure washing is a tough job without a torn shoulder, impressed you managed to get back to it so soon! Blue's the best colour imo too. I'd love to see more of the full rinse down at the end of videos (the clean up the mucky run off at the end) x
i suggest incorporating stretching into your schedule like before every job or task and morning & night. it really does prevent injury or further injury and you get noticeably more flexible. nerve pain doesn't flare up as often too. i too underestimated the importance of something as simple as a good stretch a few times throughout the day. finding a good chiropractor might help as well? hope that you find a way to manage your pain and feel better :)

Always amazed at how much water that ground surface soaks up. Seems like you can go over it 10 times and would still pull up dirt.
Yeah there was one part I had to leave a hose on for a few minutes to flood it, honestly don’t know how it can hold so much

I would think that cleaning a central spot on the "floor" and then pressure washing outward from that point in every direction would produce a better finish. When you clean back toward yourself, Sid, you are spraying the debris back onto the section you just cleaned.
It's just for the video mate, I'd have my jobs done in 30% of the time if i wasn't filming. I like to just get certain shots of certain things before the whole jobs turns into a muddy blur

So glad you learned how to do this kind of cleanup. Much appreciated. That muscle problem getting resolved is good. So the final stage of cleanup is cleaning up sludge and then rinsing off the asphalt/tarmac? The playground is renewed, a really nice job.
Yeah the sludge is gone but the tarmac wasn't part of the original thing I have offered though (:
Insane job! The playground looks new! Your back sounds like a muscle knot, those things hurt like hell. Have you tried a massage gun? Ask the missis to hold in to your back right on the knot for say 30 minutes.
