    Wow what an incredible re design with so much more functionality! I love that you designed this with aging parents in mind, which is so important for a family to enjoy. The bathroom was particularly impressive. You stuffed so much in there! Bravo 👏job well done!

    Am loving this beach house Reno. I love painting and as I'm ambidextrous when one arm gets tired I just switch to the other arm so my muscles are balanced. 😊
    Bedroom looks beautiful, so restful and I love the sheer curtains and pelmet wall to wall.
    I'm with Lucy on the sliding pocket door, I got excited about that inventive solution too. That's where us designers come into our own.
    Bathroom looks luxurious, love the colour palette and Japanese style toilet although I'm sure it takes getting used to. 😳
    Looking forward to seeing the "bunk room" next week.

    Another amazing makeover! Your interior design style is exactly what I love Lucy and it's usually quite hard for me to find inspo images that encapsulate that style on Pinterest. Rounded minimalistic furniture, light timber, gold/brass/champagne details, soft tones of blue, green and pink shades, beautiful stones on the floor, some more sculptural but minimalistic vases, etc. The dining room of the Beach House is what I loved the most and also those green armchairs in the living room. How would you describe your style? Is there a term for it? Loving to watch your renos, you 2 are a fantastic team!!! :) Love, from Portugal

    • @Huntingforgeorge
      @Huntingforgeorge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Oh that's a hard one... my design changes depending on the brief. This project was very much a Modern Coastal Aesthetic. As for my personal style? In a word... relaxed. But I must try and think of something better ;) Thank you for watching. PS I love Portugal, one of my favourite countries and epic design over there!

    • @filipacarvalho2747
      @filipacarvalho2747 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Huntingforgeorge can't believe you actually answered! :D yes I understand you are many times designing for others and not just yourself, but from all the videos I watched where you design for you and Jonne, I found your style to be relaxed but refined, modern and sleek while also a bit undone which just gives it the edgy/cool element. Anyway, just wanted to say you are my biggest design inspo :) happy you liked Portugal, I also think we have many cool buildings, art (e.g. ceramics), and furniture designers (especially in a city called Paços de Ferreira which is the Portuguese capital of furniture). I would love to visit Australia too, just exploring the wilderness, the beaches, the big cities and losing myself in some of the stores you source decor from. How I wish some of those shipped to here!

    This is stuning as always. On a first look it looks so simple but the more you look the more details you notice. On this reno alone you convinced me of round tables, bedroom carpets, and many other items that would have been a "no no" for me before. Good job guys!

  • @SimpleLivingOkinawa

    Perfect Lucy and Johno! After using one of those toilets, you can never go back! (If it is the same as the Japanese ones, you can take off the whole seat for cleaning a few times a year, and be sure to periodically clean the little holes in the spray heads - old toothbrush works well). After almost 20 years of a combo washer/dryer, I went back to separates. The combo's 'cook' your clothes dry (hence no air vent) and they take ages, so are only for really necessary days.
    I can't wait to see the kids' space.

    • @TCherieW
      @TCherieW 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree on the combo washer/dryer. I had one in an old flat in London, the residual moisture in the barrel after a wash means it takes forever to dry. Perhaps the modern ones are better, but I defo wouldn't recommend.

      @@Huntingforgeorge Hah, hah, before long you'll be putting royal loos in EVERY bathroom you do! And they are actually eco-friendly as you cut down to needing very little toilet paper.
