Very simple and easy recipe, tasty. Thank you Sam. For the one I baked last night, the down layer didn't turn crunchy or dry. As if the dough was unbaked. Similar to the step that we pressed the dough by the spoon. How the first layer look like?🤔
Those look amazing. They remind me of the Streuselstreifen I like to make (I think I sent you some pictures of those a long time ago), but those use regular marmelade. Your from scratch strawberry topping looks much better. I'll have to try them some time :)
I'm sure I will. Right now I have a batch of your lemon brownies in the oven (it's a public holiday today here in Germany, so it's almost like a Sunday and therefore time for baking XD). I'm really looking forward to how those turn out. You pictures looked very promising (as always) and so far, your recipes have always held up to the promise ;)
I haven't tried them yet. I'll be taking them with me to the office to share with the colleagues (as usual). Although it's not a Monday (the traditional "I bring cake/cookies/etc to the office" day), anyone that has to work today and can't enjoy the extended weekend deserves a little treat ;)
What is the difference between making the thick jam mixture on the stove top as opposed to just combining the ingredients and not using the stove top to make the jam like mixture?
Thanks for another amazing recipe ❤️

U always have a great video
Thank you! 😊
Can you use bluberries? Same quantity.
Yes that will work fine. 😊
I already have a home made saskatoon berry jam. How many cups of the jam should I use? Thank you! 😊
These were amazing. Perfect not to sweet
I’m so glad you enjoyed them! 😊
Should these be stored in the refrigerator?
Storing in the refrigerator is a good idea for these. :)
Can you use pie filling??
I'm not sure how it would work.
How firm do these become the next day? Firm enough to hold or even individually package for back sales?
Definitely! They shouldn’t actually be crumbly. 😊
I hope they sell really well for you!
@@SugarSpunRun Awesome!! Thank you so much!! ;-) Will definitely be sending many others to your videos!
Yum!!!
Can i use frozen strawberries?
I think that will work just fine. 😊
If using frozen fruit should I let it unthaw first to get the extra liquid off?
There's no need to thaw the fruit here. :)
@@SugarSpunRun Thank you for responding. You are one of the very few who actually respond. I truly appreciate it.
You’re welcome! I hope you love it. 😊
@@SugarSpunRun I used mixed berries and it was awesome.
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. 😊
What is the difference between making the thick jam mixture on the stove top as opposed to just combining the ingredients and not using the stove top to make the jam like mixture?
Your filling will be rather wet and runny. It may absorb into the crust and make it soggy.
what if i dont have food processor? can i still make that dessert?
It may be a little difficult to get everything to combine properly but it's worth a shot! ☺
Sugar Spun Run thank u
I’m so upset for not finding your channel sooner!
I’m glad you are enjoying it. 😊
Can u use ur hands instead of the food processor?
You could probably do it with a pastry cutter but it's going to be a bit of an arm workout. :)
I just made it with Apple
Yummm!
