Something else I wanted to mention that I didn't necessarily touch on in the video-- the "satin finish" isn't really too radiant. It's definitely more of a natural skin finish, so don't worry about it looking dewy. Honestly, side by side even on the areas I didn't set with powder, the finish wasn't too drastically different. The Hydrating one stayed more flexible though, without that sort of powdery look by the end of the day.
Their shade range online is SUPER expansive but whenever I go to Target or Walmart, there are only 5 shades. I'd definitely try again and try with the new formula since it doesn't oxidize, you'll be able to pick a match better!
I have and use regularly the e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer! I alternate between it and Makeup Revolution's Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer. I definitely agree less is more! Has been working beautifully for me 💞 I'm sure things will change as summer set in, but for now, I'm good!! Thank you for your review!! 🥰
Thanks so much Catherine!! I love that Makeup Revolution concealer for my brows and cut creases but it's a bit too dry for my combo skin areas. Very nice and lightweight though!
WOW! This is the best elf concealer comparison video I've seen! I plan to buy the original formula soon bc I have oily skin. Thanks for the awesome info😀
Fantastic review! My undereyes are Sahara dry so I've been super curious to try the new Hydrating concealer. Now I have a better idea of color and wear. I will probably try soon.
I Love my Elf Camo Concealer. Thank you for sharing about the oxidizing. I was not aware 😒 that makes total sense. I am back to the makeup world so I was not aware 💜💜💜
Absolutely! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Crystal! Yes, oxidizing can be super frustrating because you think you're buying one shade and it dries to be totally different!
Not necessarily-- I think it's a bit hard to tell because obviously I'm using a lot less concealer than another face makeup item such as foundation, and then in my undereyes I'm going to set it with powder so I think they hydrating aspect of it was moreso on first application, it wasn't as dry off the bat. Also it stayed more flexible throughout the day and didn't feel dry or stiff on the skin so that's definitely a plus. Thanks so much for watching, Sandra!!
I use the colourpop pretty fresh concealer I am curious to compare the new elf one to that one. I also have the original camo concealer but switched to colourpop when I got it because it feels so lightweight
These are definitely both on the thicker side for sure, but you can really just dot them on and blend out with a sponge for a more lightweight feel while still getting great coverage. Less is more, definitely!! Thanks so much for watching 💕
i’m not gonna lie, i heard that the hydrating one wasn’t that good, but it looks fantastic on you! my camo one always ends up cakey, so i’ll definitely try the hydrating one next!
The hydration one still gave a dry look but I will have to try w/o powder over it, see what happens. I bought both, I love the 16 matte for my forehead and to clean up my bronzer on cheeks.
Hi I have dry skin (not super dry, a little dryer than normal) and I tend to get a tiny bit oily at the very end of the day do you think the regular would be okay if I moisturized well and used a hydrating primer?
Looking back at the footage I think you're right!! Good eye, Isah. I think the satin finish looks more like natural skin and blends into the face better!
I think the hydrating version would work better for you, and it still lasts well. You could also try using the Loreal Infallible Liquid Foundation which has a lot of coverage, most of the time I don't need concealer, and doesn't transfer all that much.
In conclusion the original one can be used as an eyelid primer (it easily dries and sets itself) and the other (new) as an easy go to make up (quite easy to get done)
Thanks Lesley! I'm wearing the NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil-- check out my review here: slashedbeauty.com/nyx-bare-with-me-tinted-skin-veil-review/
How do you set your concealer under your eyes without it looking so cakey and creasy? I have tried everything. And I’m using that same powder.... I use under eye corrector and the hydrating elf (I’ve tried multiple concealers all the same outcome)
are you blending with a damp sponge? that could help if you feel like it's getting patchy right away, or apply less as it could be breaking up due to excess!
Is this close to the new colourpop concealer?. Bc that one looks so horrible on me. I'm scared to try a hydrating concealer after trying the colourpop one . Thanks for the review
I’d say it’s thicker than the CP concealer! If you look up my concealer showdown I do a comparison of the original and the CP and the original elf didn’t crease as much- I’d say this one creases less as well!

In the past I wasn't able to find a suitable shade for me but it sounds like they've expanded. Both look perfect on you.
Their shade range online is SUPER expansive but whenever I go to Target or Walmart, there are only 5 shades. I'd definitely try again and try with the new formula since it doesn't oxidize, you'll be able to pick a match better!
Great review! I tend to lean toward dry-combo skin under the eyes, I'll try the dewy formula.thanks...
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes, if your undereyes are dry then the Hydrating formula will look so much smoother! 💕
I'm definitely dry under my eyes. Loved this review!
This helped me decide! Thank you, I'll be going for the matte one.
Glad it helped!

Is the beauty blender damp?

Thank you so much, I appreciate the comment!!

Ooh yes the new formula will work so much better for you then!! Thanks so much for watching Erin!
Oh thank you for the great comparison! I love anything hydrating!
It feels great!
I Love my Elf Camo Concealer.

😮I need to try these. Great review!
Great review! Thanks so much doing this.
Thanks for watching!
I've not tried Shape Tape but I feel like this looks like their answer for it!
Yes a lot of people said the original was a great dupe!
Thank you for the shout out!! They both looked great!! Did you notice the hydrating part with the new concealer?
Not necessarily-- I think it's a bit hard to tell because obviously I'm using a lot less concealer than another face makeup item such as foundation, and then in my undereyes I'm going to set it with powder so I think they hydrating aspect of it was moreso on first application, it wasn't as dry off the bat. Hi I enjoy this video. As I just bought the elf matte in the same shade. Thank you for your video. ☺😊
Thanks so much, Marta!!

It's only SLIGHTLY less creaseproof but I 100% like the formula better! Thanks for watching, Kaitlyn!
The hydration one still gave a dry look but I will have to try w/o powder over it, see what happens. I bought both, I love the 16 matte for my forehead and to clean up my bronzer on cheeks.
I think it definitely looks a little more natural than the matte but it's not dewy or anything! Thanks for watching!
Great review!!!!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I like dewy! Going to check it out certainly
It's great for a lot of skin types I'd say!
Hi I have dry skin (not super dry, a little dryer than normal) and I tend to get a tiny bit oily at the very end of the day do you think the regular would be okay if I moisturized well and used a hydrating primer?
I haven't tried any Elf concealer before , but looking at the finished and your 8+hours look , the Hydrating camo Concealer looks more natural to me
Looking back at the footage I think you're right!! Good eye, Isah. I think the satin finish looks more like natural skin and blends into the face better!
In my case I need hydrating products that's why I would pick this hydrating one 😄 thanks for review!
Thanks for watching, Naomi! 💕
I wear a mask all day. Would you recommend the matte, I have dry skin.
I think the hydrating version would work better for you, and it still lasts well. You could also try using the Loreal Infallible Liquid Foundation which has a lot of coverage, most of the time I don't need concealer, and doesn't transfer all that much.

Love that way to use both for you!
Awesome video! What tinted moisturizer are you wearing?

Don't bake and dont use to much just lightly tap it under your eyes with a brush
Macey Lee I’ll have to try these tips because I am using a sponge for powder.
Me too girl.
Also, use LESS concealer. It's often too much concealer combined with powder that makes it cakey
Airspun powder shade pls??
Translucent!
Hi! I want to ask which shade should we use for covering dark circles in elf hydrating concealer?🙂
It would depend on your skin tone, but I would lean a little bit more peachy as pink cancels out dark circles.
@@slashedbeauty yeah I get it but can you suggest me the shade , I have purplish brown dark circles not too dark 🙂
I bought the Matte one and every time I try it it dries so so so patchy and bad with skin prep and without skin prep, wth :(
are you blending with a damp sponge? that could help if you feel like it's getting patchy right away, or apply less as it could be breaking up due to excess!
@@slashedbeauty I did use a wet beauty blender, maybe i got a bad one, who knows.
What shade was the setting powder
I use the one called Translucent extra coverage!
