- Mount Lyndesay is 1,175 metres (3,855 ft) high and is on the south-west boundary on the border between Queensland and New South Wales,
and is approximately 140 km south west of Brisbane.
Mount Lindesay is one of a number of peaks in the McPherson Range, and is remarkable for its tiered summit,
Massive tree trunk.
Absolutely awesome!! Looks something like Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, USA. Very cool!
Cheers for the comment, I like Devils Tower for a name! Much better
Is it a result of an old volcanic plug or just very hard rock at the top that did not weather?
Thanks for viewing. It is a remnant of lava flow from a nearby volcanic plug, cheers
