fun fact but stan lee (yes, THE stan lee) helped produce battle fever J, sun vulcan, and Denziman, its why the human mouth design came to be, as a american-inspired look from western superheroes and they still use them even now in sentai, and for Battle Fever J its why they look fully human, cause it was *supposed* to be Western Themed, originally Stan Lee wanted to do a "Captain Japan" IP but it got canned by Toei, so they reused it for the red ranger (Red Japan), all the rangers are countries (Blue France, Orange Cosak, Black Kenya, Pink Miss America) another fact but the Megazords came to be because they were first used in Toei Spiderman (japanese spiderman) and thought "hey maybe we can use these giant mechs in sentai" so they did and it worked greatly
TBH, I'm just glad you guys are giving the Sentai openings a chance! 😅 BTW, the Battle Fever team (the ones with the weird helmets - including one with hair) is technically part of the Marvel multiverse
To be entirely fair about the weird one, that was made by Marvel & Stan Lee. It was originally gonna be a Captain America-like show until changes just made it as it was, it somewhat explains the weird outfits. Not saying it justifies the suits but now you know that's Captain Japan and four other country Cap's.
Saban brought a lot of sentais to different countries, altough here in Brazil we didn't get Bioman we got Changman, Maskman, Flash and Goggle-V(in this specific order)
@@diegorodrigues9528 wow.. in my country Philippines before Saban power rangers, we got MaskMan, BioMan, Turbo-ranger, Goggle-V, JetMan, Goranger, JAKO, battle fever j, denziman, Sunvulcan
Fun fact at 7:13 that opening theme belongs to Solar Squadron Sun Vulcan, the only all male super sentai team. Thay also was almost had start power rangers before power rangers as Stan Lee and Marval comic try bringing the show to the US in the 80s but the project was unsuccessful with the the US version of sun vulcan only get a few dub over episodes on late night children tv channels, a hand full of live stage shows that where consiter somewhat popular and a old marvel comic tie in to the american show. Thought I have no clue if marvel version of Sun Vulcan is still consiter canon to thair comic book universe.
My personal favorites would have to be the openings for Choujin Sentai Jetman (ver. 3), Hikari Sentai Maskman (including the Movie version which used the "Shot Bomber" song), Choujuu Sentai Liveman (Ver. 1), Kousoku Sentai TurboRanger, Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman, Choriki Sentai OhRanger (ver. 1), Kyuukyuu Sentai Go Go Five (ver. 1)...heck, there are just too many to list.
Super sentai openings in this video: (1975 - 1989) Gorenger: "Susume! Gorenger" by Isao Sasaki, Mitsuko Horie & Columbia Yurikago-Kai J.A.K.Q: "J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai" by Isao Sasaki with Koorogi '73 Battle Fever J: "Battle Fever J" by MoJo, Columbia Yurikago-Kai & Feeling Free Denziman: "Aah, Denshi Sentai Denziman" by Ken Narita and Koorogi '73 Sun Vulcan: "Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan" by Akira Kushida and Koorogi '73 Goggle V (Goggle Five): "Dai Sentai Goggle V" by MoJo, Koorogi '73 and The Chirps Dynaman: "Kagaku Sentai Dynaman" by MoJo and Koorogi '73 Bioman: "Choudenshi Bioman" by Takayuki Miyauchi Changeman: "Dengeki Sentai Changeman" by Hironobu Kageyama (credited as KAGE) Flashman: "Choushinsei Flashman" by Taku Kitahara Maskman: "Hikari Sentai Maskman" by Hironobu Kageyama Liveman: "Choujuu Sentai Liveman" by Daisuke Shima Turboranger: "Kousoku Sentai Turboranger" by Kenta Satou Fiveman: "Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman" by Kenji Suzuki Jetman: "Choujin Sentai Jetman" by Hironobu Kageyama
You gotta check out Super Sentai endings too. You know this it will go crazy when, not just the villains and the heroes busting out their dance moves, even mooks/henchmen showing some moves like they did in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. I think that this is universally agreed that the Kakuranger ending is the best one. 😃
The earlier sentai are darker as they do kill people and some of the rangers have died. While the suits of Battle Fever J aren't the greatest, it is a popular series. It is the first to have a fighting mech while the first two were just ships. The original 5 from Goranger were survivors of their army units because the main villains massacred them all. Jetman is a fan favorite and is dark. It also has a lot of adult themes such as one of the heroes being a womanizing alcoholic and smoker.
Tokusatsu in japan have many shows, The most Favorite is call Big 3 it contain (Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai) if we arrange like a family member Grand Father = Godzilla(Gojira) First Movie 1954 By ToHo Company Father = Ultraman 1966-2024 By Tsuburaya Company (Gridman adapt as Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad) Big Brother = Kamen Rider 1971-2024 By Toei Company (Two show adapt as saban Mask rider and dragon knight) Little Brother = Super Sentai 1975-2024 By Toei Company (power ranger Adapt after Super Sentai entry 16) Missing Brother = Metal Hero Series 1982-1998 By Toei Company (Metalder ,Spielban, and Shaider adapt as VR Trooper, B-Fighter and B fighter kabuto adapt as beetle borg and some character are cameo in power ranger) and the less is underrate but not well known in Western = Garo, Ryukendo, Sapaidaman (Japan Spiderman Approve by Stan Lee and First Inspire Megazord in Super Sentai Entry 3 Battle Fever J), Gransazer, Justiriser, Sazer x, Kikaider, Kikaider01, Inazuman, Kaiketsu Zubat and Many Local tokusatsu
Transformer G1 all animated by toei same company with super sentai and kamen rider 😊 And All Toyline Transformer Also came from Diaclone pre-transformer by Takara Tomy Hasbro contract then for use
all opening have introduce each character specialist, their commander, their zord, their villain, if you watch with eng sub video they expain plot in music
kinda funny seeing you guys stop at Jetman since the one right after that is Zyuranger which is what Mighty Morphin adapt from
your PR adapt from Zyuranger super sentai entry 16 by adapt suit, zord, fight footage, morpher,
Sentai and Kamen Rider were my childhood. My country bought the copyright to dub it. I love Sentai. They invested in the original. Power Rangers

A fun fact, Bioman was the first sentai show to present a yellow ranger as a woman
10:58 BioMan is aired in my country in 90s.. I really loved it and it’s one of my childhood favourites.

@@hanayokoizomi9369 Yeah the Philippines got a lot. Brazil and France got 4 series each, plus some of the metal warriors.
I can't wait to see the next part. Greetings from the tokusatsu community
