Blurry photos are the worst. Imagine framing up a shot and finding out your hand shook too much or it was out of focus. Usually, those files go straight to the garbage. However, what if I can make a case for blurry photos as an art form?
Motion blur can be used an abstraction of sorts. Abstract art has always been a mysterious sub-genre that I've never explored, but this might be the day for street photography to venture there

Shooting motion-blur street photos is a lot of fun! Waving your camera around as you press the shutter feels silly at first but the results are worth it LOL
Loved the video, do more of it in the future👏

One of the best things about digital cameras still is the experimentation you can get away with easily. Good video bro. Liked the results!

Dude you really onto something here. Especially with the idea that you gotta have the right amount of shake. It has the potential to really shake up (heh heh) the street photography game. Definitely gonna try this. Also, you look like a dang fool shaking your camera like that 😂 amazing

Tangentially related, Uta Barth is a photographer I’ve recently discovered who has a series of intentionally out of focus shots. For me it really emphasizes shapes and colors in an impressionist way.

there was a trend in chinese social media where you spin the camera while taking the photo rather than jiggling it. It creates a similar style with spiralling streaks, that was also interesting.

woah, I think I may have an unintentional spiral spinny blur photo here too, but interesting how that was a trend

This was a badass video took me time to come back to it and finish it but oh boy it’s such a fun concept I’ve been trying to see the world differently and this was an amazing way to realize photography is truly art !

I think when done right, it can evoke a mood. Just like how Ernst Haus, and William Klein utilize blur. Especially Wong Kar Wai that uses a step printing process where the video is choppy but the blur has a mood to it.

Ernst Haas was a big inspo for this one. Wong Kar Wai is mad talented too

If your face is blurry in a photo after you watch a creepy, unmarked VHS tape, just sayin'.... be careful.

Not trolling, BUT... Just to be sure, I had to check the date that you posted this to see if it was an April Fool's Prank..😢😮😊
I think in some cases, it's a dope technique... but under other circumstances, the images look like accidents that would get deleted.
