    thanks JJ for reviewing hunting bows that regular guys can actually afford. It's so important because most reviews out there are only focused on the expensive flagship bows. please keep doing that I think the number of people in this target zone is big .thanks again

      The pse stinger atk is also a great affordable bow. I started with that and moved to a phase 4 29" and u still shot the stinger every now and then. I prefer the pse' draw cycle actually lol, but I like the speed and trajectory of the phase 4. If I had a longer draw length I wouldn't even have worried about it but at 26.5" I lean more towards speed bows now 340+ IBO. The stinger is more forgiving I think as well from the longer axel to axel. I got my daughter this diamond 320 (I believe) and its a wonder bow that she can grow with, some has the pse mini burner personally wouldn't recommend for the price it is, feels like a toy honestly.
      The flagship bows are nice don't get me wrong, but you 100% don't need one for hunting or target/3d tac style shooting. Would be better off buying an entry bow and paying for an archey coach, then go string and sight upgrade with some decent arrows, don't need the best of the best but a quality set, and practice alot. You'll hang with most guys at the 2d shoot shooting with 2500$ setups. Equipment don't make you shot better, it's all in the person shooting the bow.
      I won $1800 on draft kings from $20 so I bought the phase 4 lol, only reason I got it

    I am an archery instructor for our county 4H shooting education program. There are several of my kids that have a Diamond bow and they love them. Parents like them because they don't have to buy a new bow every year or so. Great video.

    I love the idea of doing more entry level bows and bows from more manufacturers this is great it helps new archers get into the sport not just maintaining the older archers growth. Please keep them coming 🎉

    A lot of info (which is limited) on budget bows is usually geared towards adults getting into archery. But there are lots of kids getting into archery and wanting to step up their game that fit in this category and can really benefit from these reviews. Thanks.

    New to archery. I use to skateboard and collect Jordan shoes. I no longer do any of those. I was going to get a bear adapt, but I couldn't draw it back at its lowest pound. So this nice guy, who is an experience hunter from bass pro picked out a diamond edge xt. I absolutely love my bow. Eventually I want a better bow. But I'm quite satisfied with my diamond. No complaints here. God bless you man and keep doing what you're doing.

    I am in this price point definitely. I've been eyeing this bow as my first bow for about a month. I was excited when I saw this review come up. I've learned a lot from watching your channel, but it always seemed a little out of my price range. However don't miss that the way you talk about things and review them you provide a ton of information. I would love to see more reviews on things that are a little affordable for the beginner. An initial thought would be a entry level releases (thumb and wrist type index)

    I have an older razor edge for my 15yo daughter, 24.5draw, 47lbs. She loves it. Shes able to shoot good groups at 40yds and shes excited to do so. Im glad i got into archery after my divorce and got both my girls with me. My other daughter shoots a recurve, and she loves that. So thank you for the vids, knowledge and insight on everything archery. Keep it going and lets get this hunting/gun/archery community together to keep it for our kids kids.

    Idea/ how about a video on proper nock throat to string fit and how it affects group accuracy if it’s too tight or loose. When you build a bow or arrow build you don’t address this other than nock alignment.

    Love watching your Bow tests and builds some more in the $500 to $1000 price market I have been hearing some things about these Chinese Bows are starting to give the American bow manufacturers a run for their money in the mid price range maybe have a look at one of them keep up the awesome work Mate 👍🏹

    • @Life-of-Bluegrass_Music
      @Life-of-Bluegrass_Music 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope, Chinese bows aren't giving American bows competition in midline and up. That Chinese bow he shot is from a American company Bowtech. Lot of starter started bows that are American. They out source. Chinese bows don't come close,won't, and Americans aren't going too shoot that shit. Some do shoot the Chinese Carbon expess junk arrows tho.

    It’s not me for me, but this video is me for my kids because I plan on buying my all my kids bows in the very near future.
    Two other suggestions suggestion one I think you should put the vibration tester as close to your boat hand as possible because that’s where you feel the vibration suggestion number two is I think you should make some type of list or spreadsheet or something that everybody can look at for all the bows you have out in the past in the future.

  • @waynepatton689
    @waynepatton689 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    One thing to add. I been bow hunting for ever and I always get asked what’s a good entry level bow for someone that wants to start out and have a good time and a good setup that won’t break the bank or that’s good for a young archer that’s still growing. I haven’t shot a price pint bow in 30 years so I don’t really have an answer usually and this type of content is exactly what new archers need. I have found that archery is a sport that is almost always something that attracts everyone. Young, old, hunter, nonhunter etc. I truly believe that the flight of an arrow is somehow part of our instinctual nature as it has been with us since the beginning of humanity basically.

    Love your reviews, just as a suggestion every time you rate a bow show all of the already rated bow scores show where this bow falls in your scoring system and maybe based off the scoring show some of the higher scoring bows and maybe why the bow might be a better choice for hunting or 3d and maybe show what you chose as a hunting bow and why !!

    Great review! Thank you for doing this price point of bow. With many of the creators only talking about high end accessories and flagship bows the price for entry can seem overwhelming in today’s economy this is great. Would you say the edge 320 would have the same speeds as this one? Or did they really change something beside the word edge to pro that would make it faster.

    The Bear Whitetail Maxx I just got, set up, and tuned is the much better deal. You should do a review on this bow. A caveat: I had to shim both cams over to the left to get the cam lean out (from the factory). The spacing I ended up with on the left side of my cams is 7/32", with the remainder of the shims moved to the right side of the cams. This put my arrow exactly 7/8" from the riser. The string is actually plumb with the riser also. I replaced the 4 string grubs with actual speed nocks and shrink tubing. The grubs were a huge cause of the vibration at the shot, and also the noise. The real speed nocks (using the Bowtech RPM 360 pattern), decreased the vibration and noise, and increased arrow speed by 2 fps. I have the draw length modules on my bow set to 26.5", but the actual measured length is 27". Draw weight on my bow is set to 64# and shooting a 385 grain arrow at 273 fps, and a 360 grain arrow at 281 fps. My Solution SS set at 71#, 26.5" (27" actual) on Comfort shoots the 360 grain arrow at 274 fps, and I still can't get the string to tune plumb with the riser.
    I'm waiting on the Alaskan XT ordered on Jan 2, and I will be doing a full set up and tune much like how I tuned the Whitetail Maxx, even though it's a Cam-1/2 system. I tell you, Bear has some real mid-budget bows in their line-up this year, and I'm really diggin' it!!

    I think the Amazon bows would out perform this bow bu i really dont know. It reminds me of the Diamond I had for 6 months before selling it. Spongy and hard to get accuracy and speed out past 30 yards. I think a 12 year old Bowtech Admiral is still 100x better. Either way fun to watchbyour videos.

    I have 2 diamond bows both can be over drawn by my kids with that spongy back wall. So I'm not a fan of that trying to teach youth to shoot and there anchor point changes every draw. But they are decent bows for the price. I have even used one this year as my backup bow and ended up using it all season since it was smother drawing than my 25 year old bow. But I will be purchasing a new flagship bow this year, from MFJJ.

    I wouldn't waste my money on a bow like that for any starter. There is so many midline and flagship bows used. Someone can start out on. Bows with rotating mods. Mathews with individual mods. Mathews bows will drop really low in the poundage. Most bows will. Unlike those starter bows with there cables all sloopy. You can pick up a very good 3-5 year old bow. In most case with accessories ect.. for what that Diamond sells for. You know in that time range.The bows are fast, and actually are a year younger. Bows come out basically six months to year early something like that. Now if a real little kid I get them a recurve ect.. straight too what I mentioned.

    When people find out I shoot a bow, I usually get asked what is a good starter bow, if you continue with this I`ll have somewhere to direct them to for research. The entry and mid levels usually get neglected IMO.

      What is a good starter bow. A good used bow. Lot times get a flagship bow a 4-5 years old for what that bow cost. Atlease a really good midline bow.

    I’ve literally been wondering why no one has reviewed this bow since I got it a month ago. Show us a build to your liking and a tune off of it, then put it up against a flagship or something a similar. I’ve found that other sights and rests don’t really fit as well on it compared to other bows or even the package stuff it comes with.

    I think it is good to mix up the price point of the reviews. I went the lower priced route a year ago and am looking to upgrade to flagship level this winter/spring. The more information the better!
    One thing that would be a good topic is comparing a price-point bow to a flagship. Demonstrate what you get for the higher price. I've had guys at the shop tell me there are tighter tolerances and things on higher end bows than compared to the average Bear bow for example.
