This is a blast. Speed Ventures runs a great program. I've taken my SVT Focus to Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow and Willow Springs. You will see all levels of cars from Porsche Carrera GT, Ford GT, BMW's to Honda Civics. I'd suggest taking a ride along lesson to learn the line and proper gears and braking. Everyone I've met is a car person and willing to talk about their cars. Very friendly group.
Love Speedventures, been running with you guys since 2003. I've tried all the other groups and have found you guys the most organized, professional, and FUN
If you're a beginner, they'll get you comfortable on the track and you can go from there. I'd only done one track day before this year, but 10 events this year, and I'm running High Intermediate now - and feeling nearly confident enough for Advanced!
Also highly recommended is the Speed Ventures autocross format, which allows many many runs in a day and a great opportunity for a beginner to get the feel of performance driving at little risk or expense. See my video of my 62 Nova at a Speed Venture autocross. The autocross and the track days are safe and the people friendly. I rode as passenger a few laps of Willow Springs with a pro driving my car. I had NO IDEA that thing is so fast!
Speed Ventures runs great track days! Sooo much fun. I've done just a few events with a couple of other organizations in SoCal, but mostly with Speed Ventures -- and SV does a better job of organizing and keeping run groups on schedule; a better of job of acquainting drivers with expectations so that interaction on the track goes smoothly; and a better of job of getting immediate feedback about what's going on on the track.
Well organized , every event was amazing and fun
God damn, I just got a Fiesta ST and discovered Speed Ventures!! I CANNOT WAIT to attend a near future event at a local SoCal track!!!
hmu bro im gonna get my car setup
