    Please don't bite my head off but you'd be better off patting down the ribs w a paper towel because when you blast them with water like that, the water splatters all over the place leaving bacteria everywhere. Also, you need to remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.

    • @sipadip

      This. The washing is unnecessary and that sink prolly has more bacteria than what is percieved in the juices of the bag. Other than that and the membrane note it looks good and Ill look to try.. i just discovered short ribs in the foodi are awesome, ill look to do the full rack next.

    I’m cooking these right now but I used a Bottle of Budweiser instead of the Dr. Pepper and of course I used Sweet Baby Ray’s but with Hickory & Brown sugar. I’ll let you know how they turned out. I’m so excited! YES, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS RECIPE!
    Well Nick, Let me tell you this, they were soo good and I learned a few things about what NOT TO DO, the next time I make them because there will be a next time that’s for sure. These were some really big ribs with lots of meat on them, which I had placed up at the top of the foodie during the last part and they got charred. I blame myself for that but I’m new to this FOODIE thing and will know better the next time and will put them bone side up on the air fry part the next time I make them and I will tenderize them a bit before, as well. Happy Campers😊

    Hi Nick, You forgot to rip off the membrane on the rib side which I did. That is a must for absorption of the flavors. Anyway mine were absolutely delicious. I even had purchased the same brand of ribs as yours (Smithfield) before I even saw your TH-cam post. Just remember, rip off the membrane covering the rib side first next time. It just pulls off easily when you start by grabbing it from the end with a paper towel. Instead of the water added to the Dr. Pepper I used 1/4 cup liquid smoke. Thanks for your post. Tom in Ft. If you put yellow mustard on before using your rub it sticks better. The mustard doesn't change the flavor much by it works well. Put them in a gallon freezer bag and let sit in refrigerator for a minimum of 3hrs or overnight and they will be incredible.

Less chewy, and tough. It’s a bit hard to yank off but if you use the towel, it’s not so bad. Then do the rest that you did. They look really good.

    Looks AWESOME and so tasty, but I didn’t see (or hear) in your video, if you did an IMMEDIATE QUICK RELEASE after you pressure cooked the ribs, or if you did a NR for a period of time, then a QR.
    Thanks..

      The Foodi has a pressure relief valve on top that you turn to get it to release. The lid won't come off until you release enough pressure.

    What kind of pressure release did u use...natural release or?

    • @nickk36
      @nickk36  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the pressure cooker is finished and you need to release the pressure, the lid has a release nob that you turn to decompress the cooker. It won't let you remove the lid until the pressure is released.
