Harley Davidson Softail tank, fender & helmet Gold Kandy

Another paint job with flakes and candy, this time on a set of tin from a Harley Davidson Softail from 2005 and a helmet.
I am using Galactic Silver metallic base coat, followed by some Roth Surfite Silver mini flakes (0.008) sprayed with a 1.4 tip mixed in clear coat. design made with Createx Wicked black, more clear coat, 4 coats of Kandy Gold from Tropical Glitz, clear and buff.

Wow! How did you weed that small vinyl stencil on the fender? Having issues with the same logo. Tha A and O insides are trouble!

I use a Cricut Air 2. And yes the center of the A and O are sometimes coming off, I just get a tiny brunch or a toothpick to apply a little bit of paint 😉

I’m interested with the helmet is there a different preparation with it being plastic

Plastic/fiberglass, I just sanded it with 180 for the primer, nothing else special.

Yes I do, even if this is candy and translucide, over black it still may give a little tint to the black, so it is better practice to spray the whole thing so it is more uniform.

Hi Thanks for the kind words! Client was in a hurry to get his parts back, I asked him to send a pick when all together, I very curious to see it. Unfortunately camera battery ran out for the crossed hatch. I layer several different sizes sprayed everything and then removing a few respraying and doing this 2-3 times, hope this help 😉
