Thanks, Cat, but I'm not a big fan of using a pulsing jig for gold. They're terrific for gems, however. For gold, the newly-patented Sweep Jig is far superior. Better at really fine gold, and uses much less water when running wet, and has the ability to run dry, and recover flour, too. The pulsing jig isn't near as capable on gold.

@@jimnelson7740 :..I'm guessing, your shop looks a little like mine. I've pulled micro gold from Michigan sand, at a rate of 1 gram per 46 cubic yards. Separately, the sand, top soil & plants are worth far more than the gold. But fun is fun. Well done, on your inventions.

@@catmandont100 Thanks, Cat. I'm still pushing the envelope, though the Sweep Jig will be hard to beat. I'm starting a new project soon. A reciprocating "jig" with the ability to work wet or dry. Will be, hopefully, for both heavy metals and gems. May take awhile, as this is the prospecting season, so I spend what spare time I have out in the wilds here in Idaho.

Jim, are there plans for the jig you use?

Sure...just do a search on Ebay for "Gold, mineral, and gems prospecting jig plans", and it should turn up.
      Thanks
