Some people ask why there are 9 royal families in Malaysia? the asnwer is : these 9 royal families are from 9 different kingdoms in the Malay Peninsular. They have been ruling their own kingdoms from the ancient time and even during the British Colonialisation time. In 1895 (The 1st Federation) , 4 kingdoms formed a Federation known as The Federate Malay State (FMS) and their kingdom were downsize as state with Kuala Lumpur as the Federation's Capital CIty. Then in 1948(2nd Federation) , 5 more kingdoms and 2 British Straits States joined the Federation and rebranded as Federation of Malaya. Malaysia are now in the 3rd Federation after the formation of Federation of Malaysia in 1963. SO basically, Malaysia is the Royal Federation and perhaps you can call it as The United Kingdoms, of the east. ( 's' in the Kingdom as plural). LOL..

Which means , He is the most utmost priority and considered number 1. The Federal Government workers/offiers are serving His Majesty and have to be loyal to him , in their Oath of Service. Not to the Prime Minister and his party even they won the election and rule the country's administration. The people of Malaysia giving oath /pledge of Loyalty (Rukun Negara) to loyal to the Agong . In one of the page inside Malaysian passport stated that Malaysian People are His Majesty Subject . His Majesty also the Commander in Chief of Malaysia's Armed Forces. Not the Prime Minister. As a Malaysian and Johorean i would like to say that you get your fact wrong about the king written several books for children. It is his Queen, Her Royal Highness Raja Zarith Sofiah who wrote the books for children even she makes beautiful illustrations in it because HRH obtained her Bachelor and Master of Arts from the University of Oxford
Daulat Tuanku!
I love this king.❤
I love myvi king..😍🥰
Reaping in much riches in Land sales to Chinese corporations, joint China -Johor business ventures and his own personal business empire in Malaysia.🤗🤗Becoming a new king no doubt will increase his 'success' enormously.
Something European Royals should learn sharing is also a soft power 💁
we the people approve of this King. we love his reign.
Yes.. We Malaysian loves our Kings
A correction, his name is Sultan Ibrahim, his father is Sultan Iskandar. It's the Islamic naming system (fathers name becomes your surname)
We love and adore his Majesty Sultan of Johor . We love our New King, Yang DiPertuan Agong of Malaysia. Daulat Tuanku!
Imagine India adopts the same system and retain all monarchs. it would take 5x ~500 = 2500 years for the cycle to complete.
indian kings were pirates..
When British left India, there were around 450 recognised princely states and few unrecognised principalities. But now there are around 50 modern royal families who still live in palaces and have cultural importance like Jaipur royal family, Mysore royal family. All these modern royal families are related to each other because they marry. So technically, India has one big royal family. We can have a constitutional monarchy with the Emperor of India (Maharaja of India) being head of state. EMPIRE OF INDIA.... 😅
LOL. He is already a King and a monarch!! And so are all the other 8 kings! He is elected as an "Agong", which is a representative of the other kings. Here is news for you.. He is already connected and love by his people even before he became "Agong".

Crown prince of Johor served indian army, from there he advance the Johor army. People of Johor loves the royal familles because the royal families did many things for their people plus they making effort to make Johor like Singapore. NOT ALL MONARCHS COUNTRIES ARE BAD AND NOT DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES ARE GOOD.
During the early formation of the Sultanate's private army (the Johore Military Force), many of the senior officers received their training at Dehra Dun.

There's more advantages with more kings around....the country will never go into turmoils as the subjects are under the safeguards of its relevant teritory kings...problems will never escalate to other teritory as it will be handled wisely by that particular kings...Bharat had lost the Kings previously but now Bharat having a new vibrant King Modi Ji for the sake of its subjects❤

Correction : He is not just a "Ceremonial Figure" for Malaysia. His Majesty The King of Malaysia, or known as the Agong (The Supreme) or the 'King of the Kings' is the Head of State. And The Agong also have the right to decline any appoinment of Minsiter and Prime Minister. SO again..he is not just a ceremonial figure,
He is not just the king (now) but Agong, which means King of kings.

India has maharajas?
yes - they are mostly ambassadors for tourism and work to preserve heritage and culture. they have a lot of religious duties. they dont hold any rank in the modern secular government. @@iam-anonymous
@@areascoda2912 wow... I just heard about maharaja of Mysore and Jaipur I guess. Other than that never knew India had maharajas. King of johore
Yes, l heard from many Johoreans that they are well looked after by him & his Sultanah . He looks into the needs of the poor & Doesn't depend on JKM to continue giving the oku kad holders their real need. HRH the King, while on duty as King in Malaysia keeps a very watchful eyes on his people in Johore. Both Sultan & Sultanah send their own representatives to trace many oku card holders to see to their living condition. Many don't even have cooking pot & hot water thermos & they were provided by the Johor Istana. For these, we are forever grateful. We Johoreans never missed our weekly prayers to pray for them & Johore State. Yes, Malaysia too is in our prayers that it will be like Singapore, corruption free. Can Malaysia adopt such good attitudes & behaviours? I guess it a cancerous disease that has touched the very bone of those who practices corruption. Amputation is the only way to cleanup this Nation, Malaysia.
