I have both books as well and they are each jam packed with great content. Nearly every page has something to spark the imagination or to use as a tool in any fantasy game. There are few books you can say that about.

Just bought this, loving it. Going to try and run it with Dragonbane 😅

Oops! Thanks for reminding me that I bought this book a few months ago, but basically forgot about it. 😄 I'll really have to take a look now.

This looks very cool. When I got started with RPGs back in the 80s, I had a copy of the original City State of the Invincible Warlord and used Worlds of Wonder (Magic World) for rules. A lot of the early games I ran were urban. In the last couple years, I've been getting a hankering to run some urban-set Fantasy stuff again. Looks like this book will be a handy tool.

I’m in the middle of a little experiment. I am going to create a separate city for each of these supplements: Cess and Citadel; Shadowdark; His Majesty the Worm, and Spectacular Settlements. I’m also going to use Worlds without Number, Knave 2e, and Monster Overhaul to add flavor and fill in blanks. Just want to see how different each will be and which one I think is not only cooler but fun to run.

I know this made for fantasy, but it would be cool to convert to use with a Necromunda type setting. Like the various dangers ans places of a hive type city

Thanks for sharing as usual. This book looks a lot of fun and great place to start a session! Cities Adventure in my opinion is the best place to start / play a solo session due the player’s natural familiarity with what to do and what could happen in a city - most people know what city life is like from watching tv and films while imagining life travelling through medieval / fantasy wilderness requires a bit more creative juice :)
Wish there are more tools dedicated to City adventures!
