    Very very nice functional upgrades. Re gearing is not necessarily to turn the tires, it takes the unneeded stress off your motor, transmission and associating components but helping move additional weight. I would of upgraded the rear locker. There have been some issues with the factory e locker not engaging but hoped it’s been worked out. The BBK and rear disc conversion is awesome, I’d love to see a video and review on those.Truck looks awesome.

    You are 💯 correct on upgrading your brake system!! This is one thing these folks do is put on big ass tires and wheels and think stock brakes are designed for it? No absolutely not, I’m know genius but this is common sense. Love everything you’ve done to your Taco! Have a fantastic day

    Brakes are something that a lot of Harley guys neglect when they do performance work too. Being able to stop is wildly important.

  • @MacJohnDoe

    Very Wise Choice on the Disc Brake Upgrades!! You are Exactly Correct Talon; Many People Underestimate the Importance of Upgrading to Better Aftermarket Brakes on the Front/Rear Tires Especially after Adding Bigger/Heavier Wheels & Tires to their Mid-Sized Trucks! And that Doesn't even Include all the Extra Weight from the Solid Steel Aftermarket Front/Rear Bumpers, Extra Lighting, Winches, Extra Spare Wheels/Tires and Any Other Gear they keep inside the Cab or Inside/On Top the Bed of the Truck... So in My Opinion, that was Definitely a Necessary Upgrade that will Keep you Safer On/Off the Road; As well as Adding Better Performance Off-Road on the Tails!.. 🤓👍

    Interested to see if you change things in the future. Most people wheel their truck and upgrade out of necessity whereas, IMO, you've just built it based on other people's builds. Nice truck regardless.

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I built it based off my knowledge of living in a 4x4 sprinter van for 2 years and spending 90% off my nights off road. Same off road knowledge can be applied to a truck in order to make it perform the way I want it to.

    Ok Talon, now you need to upgrade your stereo system. You can keep the factory head unit but I'm gonna have to install a new dsp amplifier, actual good speakers and build you a custom sub box somewhere out of the way. Then tune it all and get it rocking nice and loud 🤘😝 we do custom upholstery too! Love the truck dude!

    Wow that truck has everything you could do it seems. I don't think I will ever quite go that radical but out west I am sure you need it. I do a lot of forest service roads and less technical stuff but I have to daily drive my rig. 2021 SR V6 4X4 Prinsu roof rack with light bar, Yeasu FT-2980 2 meter ham radio, and Pro Comp Vintage 69 wheels with Wild Peak AT's. I'm interested in seeing a comparison of the Throttle Grenade vs the KDMax tune. They seem really similar, except for the throttle unit looks like you can switch it off and on.

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The throttle grenade is a throttle controller, not a tune. I have the OV tune on my truck.

    • @fboodysan
      @fboodysan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TalonSei Totally agree. Thats the difference, one is engaged all the time while the other can be switched off and on. The KDMax tune is basically a throttle tune on top of the OVTune. Do a test run with the throttle grenade on explosive and let me know if the throttle is really touchy.

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is. Explosive mode is kinda insane. I use the intel mode for normal driving and crawl mostly when off road.

  • @tylerevans4388

    Front brake calipers on a Tacoma are already 4 piston from the factory. Snorkel doesn’t do a whole lot of good with regard to water fording when the exhaust is low, plus the snorkel needs to be sealed to a sealed air box.
