It brings back memories when I was a young man. Now I'm 66 years old and disable. Mechanical heart valve. Now I don't have a heart beat. Now I tick like a clock.
here in the uk we have to put in loads of insulation in the floor before we start putting the concrete into the holes, i'm assuming there's suitable stuff under there or it's not required in this situation? thanks
That’s awesome! Wish I knew of this for my old house. I wanted to have my floors all be level but didn’t know it was possible to pour concrete over the dropped sections. Now I know for the next one!
Hi, I'm filling my sunken (172 mm) living room in Australia. We have double brick walls with 50mm cavity on concrete slab. Do you recommend expansion foam against the walls? I'm wondering if the movement of the new concrete slab might push the internal load bearing wall outward. Thanks
What kind of price range is a job like this? Is it much more per sq ft because it is inside vs outside? Lot of old sunken living rooms still up here in OR and WA.
Should of primed the hose outside my man that wet spot in the middle was from the water he primed the hose with.. turned out nice though I've done a few like this. they can be a pain when it's hot out that room gets so humid from the moisture in the concrete 😂🤦
good job answering questions Dave!👍 got one for you no expansion board is needed around perimeter for any concrete expanding? I have seen concrete explode up and crack because no room to expand
that fish eye lens in the intro when you are walking around is... idk not pleasant to look at? it makes the edges of the screen look curved when they are not like that in real life. and on your time-lapse floor thing, the wall step thing that is closest to the viewer is also sloped due to the fish eye effect. maybe im just picky, its hard to tell. the video content is good, just a minor complaint. not sure if this was a phone video or gopro?
Those sunken floors were the thing back in the day. Nice, complete fix - that new floor will never move. Excellent guys!

Great job, as always. Question: what would have been the longest you could have waited for the pump before the concrete in the mixer went off (bad)?
1 hour
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Geez! Not long, thanks! :)

After you put the glue down, do you have to pour the concrete before the glue dries? How much time do you have?
No
One hour

Why do you use steel rebar in this instance? On your driveway project, you used fiberglass rebar that you said was rust-proof.
True, but fiberglass bars aren't readily available
Nice work boys.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I wonder how many times do you guys reuse your forms? Like all that wood? especially if you have to make cuts.
At least three times

Depends on climate and soil conditions
No issue here because of the flowable fill mix and the climate will be pretty steady indoors.
No pinning into existing concrete?
No need with the bonding agent
That would be a stick trowel or a Fresno.
Crazy trowel
lots of these jobs seem to be posted lately
