Dante insisting that he should accompany Vergil in hell even though Vergil said he can seal it alone. He was probably thinking the last time he left Vergil in hell, he went corrupt and such and couldn't let it happen the second time

Also, I don't think he wants to leave his brother alone again. Vergil being alone and thinking his mother wasn't looking for him was one of the factors that made him want power so much and rarely mentions his mother and only speaks on sparda.
@@Nacht294 agree, one thing that really touch me is when V said that he actually want to be protected and Loved, but being alone he can only survive. Vergil is actually pretty soft inside. Knowing the truth about his mother made him manage to reconcile with dante again. I like vergil more and more

Like, you are just an innocent demon and stumble both of them fighting, while trying to survive thanks to both of them fighting eachother and killing anyone who is in their way; you learn the painfull truth that both of them starting to fight eachother less and less while killing demon more.... so to save the demon world, your objective is to keep them fighting eachother while trying to survive XD
It could even be an exposition to the sparda's background and such since the demon need to learn more about the reason why both of them fight eachother and their background.

I feel like Vergil finally can let go the bloodlust and anger over the years. Hes talking to Dante like a sibling competition instead of killing him. Added with his Son beating him, looks like hes proud of Nero in his own way.
the hand toss at 6:13 is an especially poignant moment of that, since it's one of the few times vergil acts like a normal person and not a supervillain. he's just throwing his hands up and accepting that he and dante are even, that it's probably never going to change, and then following it with the fact that they have plenty of time to work it out.
He's a guy who lived for getting more power in the past, what more could he ask for from a son who is also strong and will only get stronger?

I think half the reason Nero was so worried about them leaving him behind was because he was afraid they'll try to kill each other again as soon as he's not there to break it up. Remember, he doesn't really know their relationship and so far has only seen them (repeatedly) fight against each other, not team up against a common foe (V working with Dante against Urizen being a slightly odd case), so them delivering him a unified bitchslap is actually a promising sign for their ability to work together going forward.

I love that virgil said "I can still fight" it's a call back to when nero said the same thing at the beginning of the game & it seems to be virgil's way of giving nero the respect he has been trying to earn throughout the game. I love this game!

What I love about the fight at the end where the credits are rolling is that depending on how many demons you kill as Dante he'll acrually comment if Virgil killed more than he did, if Dante beat Virgil, or if they tied

the part when dante said he got a one up and vergil disagrees with him, proves that their will always be brothers at heart.
The dynamic of these three characters is exactly like Goku, Vegeta and Trunks. The first two love fighting for the their own reasons while the son thinks their both kinda stupid for putting themselves and the world in danger for the thrill of fighting and obtaining power. At the same time he's still has a desire to obtain power for himself to keep up with the old men and protect the world.

I like how in the end, now that he has nothing left to prove and no “cold ruthless anime villain” persona to uphold, Vergil just drops the act and talks to Dante like a normal dude.
Something about Dante saying to Nero “It’s because your here we can go.” Just struck me so hard. We always see in shows and in games a similar trope of the mentor or relative, leave something of importance to the apprentice saying a cheesy line. But when Dante said it so confidently, it really shows how far Nero has come from DMC4. He grew in strength enough that both Vergil and Dante can leave the surface up to him alone.

I like how DMC5 shows how 2 brothers fighting was originally toxic then turned into a bonding experience and a sign of affection between brothers. Maybe this was how it always was between them for all I know.
I love how subtly implied that considering how serious the players played against Vergil, in the story, they were having a playful fight, like at the end, also implying that the Nero who "stopped their lethal attack" was basically just stopping a friendly brawl.
As awesome as the rivalry between them is, I kinda wish they teamed up more often... I feel like the two of them fighting together could kick the shit out of absolutely anything in existence 🤣

6:50 if you pay attention to the bullets, the bullet that came out from ivory is hollow-point which is why dante used it to kill stuff in cutscenes... the bullet that came out from ebony isn't, probably armor piercing tip which Dante uses for long-range shots that's why ebony's sight is adjustable.
I love how it's like a flip of the switch with these too. One second whole hearted earnest attempt at stabbing one enough with magic swords fit to slaughter scores of demons, next almost loving sibling ball busting. Serious attempts at world destruction not withstanding there is never a drop of malice between these two, it's never about hurting each other, it's about beating the other, not even necessarily permanently either.

How about a timeline in which he fall in love with someone try to be a good person. But after they gave birth to Nero, demons break in there home, kill his love. Made the same accident when he was a child. After that he hid nero for someone else to raise, and the anger inside him make him thirsty for power

Man, I love that you can tell Vergil and Dante are actually past killing each other and shit. They’re fight on the tree and the words from Nero, that was more than enough to push them past their old grudges.
You can really tell they’re having fun in the underworld just fighting demons and sparring with each other. Its actually really heartwarming
