The way he interact is pure, no other pretention and other intention but to help and share his experience while travelling. So maybe you should be the one to check your history. Like "Adobo", another pre-colonial dish, it is only the Spaniards who gave it a name that resembles their dishes because they dont know how to pronounce the traditional names. Hay dios ko!
It would also help you to know that when the Spaniards first landed in the Philippines it is on official historical records that Pigafetta the Italian Chronicler wrote that they saw natives all wearing gold while roasting whole pig over spit! Ok ka na?
