Yes! I'm just working on a video about speed sewing and it's exactly as you've described. I sew everything I can sew, serge everything I can serge, then press everything. Then do the same sequence again! It goes SO FAST! Thanks for your clear explanation of WHY this is such a good method.

I have worked in manufacturing and fully understand the batch process and the division of labour to get things done quicker. That said I am more accustomed to a process to make an individual garment. My goal at the end of the day is to have a bespoke item that I have made the way I want, so I tend not to batch process on my makes.
So I take longer to make a garment but one of the things that makes me quicker is experience and skill, these will come in time, but please don't think that I am against the batch process because if it works for you, go for it. For me though I will stick to the slow process. Have fun sewing.

Well, I have the Make It Simple book and now I understand what the 'shortcut steps' page means! I completely skimmed over it in my race to make the patterns 😂

This was so helpful because I'm currently making teddy bears and it takes a long time individually but if I take it as one section at a time for everything, as you say, task batching, then it helps a lot. Love your videos, they're always so helpful! ❤

I often sew by task batching, but unfortunately I am still extremely slow at sewing. I know I need to practice alot my sewing alot more to get faster. But time consuming life problems have are stopping from sewing.

Hello Tilly ! I was wondering : have your books been translated into French ? If not, is is planned ? I speak English and watch your videos, but it would be easier in French, especially for books. Thanks a lot for what you do ❤️😊

The trouble with task batching is that if you make a construction mistake, without realising, you risk making it several times before you realise it. Voice of experience here.

Till I I’m having trouble knowing what bits to cut out for the Bertha pattern. It seems to be mixed in with another pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated x
